It’s funny how so many of these kinda depend on body shapes. For instance, I have big hips and larger thighs. For me, if I pair a blousy top with a wide leg trouser, I’d look kinda frumpy and it wouldn’t be flattering. The “skinny” jeans (or just slimmer leg pants) look much better with the blousy tops on me personally. (I’m short and pretty thick so we’re very different body types! It’s interesting how that can really play into what advice you should listen to!)
Same! I love the way wide leg pants look on the hanger but they can be so hard to find the right fit. And then it’s hard to balance. But it’s gotten better since I’ve learned to love my body :)
May I suggest you check out Aly Art's channel, she talks about the Kibbe theory about body shapes and essentially it's a super interesting theory on what could be flattering on different shapes. I also appreciate how she has a way of describing the body shapes in a way that's very respectful (you never feel like being tall and slim is the only ideal). Anyways it might interest you^^
Honestly the don’ts are cute, I think the best was the black sleeveless cardigan with the long slit dress. Never would have thought to combine those two.
The first and last don'ts looked like simple 1920s style with the long, low waistline shape. I actually like them and think these looks overall are subjective (I mean, obviously)! People's styles, shapes, and shape intentions/preferences vary.
Is it me or both version were equally good? Sometimes I even liked the dont better.. I just dont understand what is wrong with the number one dont, it looked very cool to me^^ I know these are just subjective tips I just genuinely dont get it

Honestly the black dress with the black cardigan looked amazing. Didn't like the Do look for that one. Also, the boxy cardigan with the skinny jeans may look less flattering on different body shapes but for someone who is thick and hourglass shaped, I feel it would feel less unbalanced and "lolli pop" like.

Of course you gotta custom fit her advices to your own style, body type and what you have. I personally like her style and she is probably the main one I watch here just because her attires are fairly modest and doesn't put too much emphasis on showing skin just to be stylish(not bad, just not my style).
Everybody goes so hard on this girl I think it’s because she needs to put the caveat in that all body shapes and sizes are beautiful and different and that not just hers is the one to consider here. her audience is made up of every body type. She’s making very definitive declaritive pointed statements not allowing for a broader inclusion and also by the way peeps- wear wherever you want!!! Style is so individual / personal regional and occasional. While she has some great points I personally think that her “do” black cardigan actually swallows her tiny frame I would never choose that for her and she thinks that it suits her beautifully with the trousers Puff sleeves are way too big for her. That’s my own taste and I’ve seen her wear this in a few videos. Again style is subjective those HUGE Victorian sleeves are not in style right now. But as long as she feels beautiful strong and confident she should wear them forever!!
I have a petite body withy my hips and breasts in proportion but my shoulders are really wide! So I can't wear really oversized jackets and coats otherwise I look like a hanger and my head looks really small!
and the folks in the comments trippin, all the don’ts look soooo awkward. they’re cute. the concepts are there. however, the don’t outfits ALMOST understood the assignment. cute don’t fits but it’s like they were missing something. the do’s understood the assignment without a doubt. this is genius because it takes those same great style ideas that may be a little wonky or may look a little outdated (like 4 years ago) and turns them into sophisticated and modern fits that we all could easily throw on and go. take notes. this is gold
