    Sounds extreme I know.
    I’m a 61 year young woman.
Lived in baggy clothes for years.
Watched your videos. Invested in a capsule wardrobe and I’m enjoy not having to worry about what to wear .
I’ve used this Mentality to other aspects in my life.

    Thank you 😫❤️

Lydia, I've been running my own business for 12 years, and if there's one advice I can give to anyone is, stick to your guns, your true self, gut feeling and your style. You're never going to please everyone. You're doing great, keep going 🙂

Lydia, I have followed your style advice on some of the most important days of my life. My college commencement speech, interviewing for my dream job, *working* as the youngest person in my company at that dream job, my father’s funeral, and more recently as a witness in a high-profile trial. Your advice has never steered me wrong.
You help me illustrate my competence and you help me leave a positive impression when it matters most. I will always be grateful that you choose to share your insights here online.
*edit* Constructive criticism has its utility, but those people are just being critical in a way that adds no value to your work in my opinion. Forget the nitpicking out there. “Do’s and Don’ts is an extremely common figure of speech in this context. You yourself have also said that sometimes there are style rules (or style “don’ts”) that you like to break. We know you’re not out here preaching absolutes in something as expressive as fashion. Don’t even sweat it.
Again, thank you for everything, genuinely! I hope you never stop doing whatever your heart guides you to do. ❤️ Much love from Texas 🌵

Just ignore those who come with negativity. They’ve clearly got nothing to do. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the half tuck and have been using it a great deal. Great video, Lydia! Appreciate how you showed what kind of boots go with trousers. I tend to just pair my trousers with pumps, so this was real helpful. I found your channel last year and starting loving trousers again because of you. If I may make a suggestion, please have the "dont" outfit beside the "do" outfit (in a split screen) after each clip. Seeing them side by side would really emphasize the contrast/ changes you made.

"Dos and don'ts"...please use it, Lydia!! It's concise and most English and ESL speakers understand precisely what it means. I sure do. That said, I would ask those who disagree to come forward with their perception of what in the world could be more clear...AND, and, and be more universally understood. We're not talking life and death or planet-wide extinction here! So, tick tock people let's hear it...I'll wait. 😉

I, personally, am grateful when someone like you tells me the do’s and don’t. I love beautiful clothes and fashion and have always been able to dress within my budget but I do, often, get overwhelmed wondering what goes with what, etc, and it helps when someone points out these things. The fact that you do it in a no-nonsense yet friendly way is a bonus and I wonder at these ‘sensitive ‘ individuals always ready to take offence. We live in a world in which just saying no to someone sends them into trauma so my suggestion is carry on the way you have done and don’t bother about the small % of easily offended ninnies.

Not sure why anyone would get worked up about do’s and donts. It’s your show !
I am new here and have learned a lot and tried a few new things I wouldn’t have before

Lydia, I’m watching this video for the second time. Love your dos and d‘onts as I love the videos where you show us how to break those rules. I little of common sense is required of course but your guidelines help me everyday when I get undecided. They just opened my eyes to some details that never crossed my mind. I did received compliments already, but now I get them more and more. Your channel made my shopping and dressing process so much quicker and I’m much more confident with the final result. Good job 👏

Love, love these dos and don’ts videos. Have you ever thought about doing a tutorial on how to take slightly dated cuts or silhouettes and cheat, in a way, to make them look more current? I find that I usually only have one or two of the current items but never the whole look and then I get stymied on how to pull that look off with what I already have.
Maybe a “how to tweak and wear your dated booties with today’s slouchy trousers”. Haha, not sure I’m being super clear on what I’m thinking… Anyway, love your content!

Fixing an imbalanced-proportioned outfit just by adding a long coat doesn’t really do it because the coat is ok while you’re on your way somewhere, but once you get there, you have to take off your coat and you’re going to have the same problem

    • @chrissylekas
      @chrissylekas 3 года назад +1

it works bc when you take off the coat, you also generally take off the shoes/accessories , so the balance is usually kept :)

I get it and thank you for all that you do. Don't focus on the negative vibes from others. Be thankful to all for watching and move on. People will try to make you fit their narrative. We are all different and like different things so I personally take what works for my lifestyle. Other than that, if people don't like the hard work you put into your videos giving us relevant content, then why are they on your channel? 🤷🏽‍
