Thanks SO much for this! Really love how you explain these concepts in a lot of detail. Keep up the great work.

hey, at 8:45 you attached the constant and Add, and then the poinitcloud dissapears, I did the same and I have no clue how to get it to show up again do you know what could be causing this?
    thanks

Excelente, muchas gracias por compartir, una consulta, que parámetros son críticos para mantener un buen rendimiento y ojalá obtener la mayor fluidez posible en la visualización. Me refiero a los fps. SLDS

I haven’t really optimized this for real-time, since my goal was to work with large point clouds. Smaller point clouds will help. Less complex noise in the effects chain will help (fewer harmonics, higher exponent, slower animation) will help. Keeping your OP viewers off usually buys back some fps. Lower resolution on the render TOP can help. Ultimately, it comes down to a balance of how you build it and what your machine can handle. A lot of what I do isn’t ideal for real-time applications, unfortunately.

great tutorial thanks! Is it possible to get rid of the original object and only leave visible the energy wave?

You could probably do it with another threshold top after the add in the color chain.

Hi, have you done it? how it is done

I am using a Comp to multiply the constant TOP with the pointcloud file.
My pointcloud will only move between the values 0. and 1. and nothing happens when I go over those values.... why is that?

I suspect it's the multiplication operation. I use "add" to composite everything.

Yes. There are ways to do it without it, but it's needed for this method
