Build a Huge Collapsible UV Resin Curing Box and Turntable for Cheap

How to build a 20 x 20 inch collapsible UV resin curing chamber with motorized turntable for curing large 3D prints.

I'm not sure if you had enough LEDs, but I would have put them on both sides and had the connectors at the front for easier connecting. I suppose since you can just put the back on first, it's not too big of an issue. You asked what we would have done differently though!

I really like your brain. I have ten printers running pretty much 24/7 and one of them is the Anycubic photon max it’s big and I have to put some prints outside but old man winter is coming fast this is just what I need. I’ll be building this to add to my farm. 👍

Very nice. I really like the turntable and the pin method of assemble. May "borrow" that for a paint booth design. So how well does it work; how quickly to your designs cure?

Thanks. A paint booth would be another good uses of the build method.
For curing it works great. That just depends on the strength of the lights on how long it takes.

What's that black glue + activator (I assume) you're using for gluing in the arm studs and the magnets?

It’s CA glue. Just happens to be black instead of clear

The pins are with the turntable. You get both when you download the files.
There are 3 file for the turntable and 3 for the pins. Each are in their own folder on printables.

Question new to this and I just made This box y question is when you put the resin
On the 3D print does it cure on the underside that lays on the turntable even though that section of the part is not in the uv light

@davidpetti9951 if it’s blocked from the light it won’t cure. So you will want to put your object on some kind of stand if the bottom has resin like I have with the helmet in the thumbnail.

Hi You didn’t mention the material you used to print the turntable. You may want to point out that PLA is not suitable for this print as the UV light would degrade it within a very short time.

I used PLA. The amount of UV it is getting shouldn’t be a issue. I’ve seen PLA prints left outside for over a year with no effect and the sun puts our way more UV :)

@@DaveRigDesign I suppose the difference is I live in Australia and the UV is very strong. My first prints were used in my sunroom to indicate the up side and down side of the shade blind pulls. The PLA prints fell apart within 2 weeks. I reprinted them in ASA and 4 years later they are still in operation. I still think an enclosed UV curing station will quickly degrade PLA. PLA data sheets usually point this out.
