Roland PD-120 restoring process

  • This video shows the restoring process of a Roland PD-120 drum pad. The pad had lost it sensitivity due to the wear of the rubber cone that vibrates between the patch and the trigger. I also took the opportunity to completely clean each pad, including the drumhead, since they had been contaminated with some kind of fungus due to the humidity of the place where they were stored.

    Este es un video que muestra el proceso de restauración de un pad de batería electrónica Roland PD-120. Los pads habían perdido la sensibilidad a los golpes debido al desgaste del cono de goma que transite la vibración entre el parche y el trigger. Aproveche también para limpiar completamente cada pad, incluido el parche, ya que se habían contaminado con algún tipo de hongo debido a la humedad del lugar donde estaban almacenados.

    I bought a damaged pd 120 and used the guts for a conversion tom. Plug and play on my td20.

      Es un cono de un espuma de goma especial, lo podes googlear como "foam cone" en ingles

      But I´m from Argentina, they don´t make international shipments... so, I took advantage that my cousin was in Miami and he brought them to Argentina.
