I have a theory about why the matcha and cocoa powder ones "failed." See, the instant coffee crystals are dehydrated, yet almost completely water soluble particles of extracted coffee flavor without any of the coffee grinds being present, so they can dissolve completely and not leave any residue, also their particles are very very minute (nanometers in diameter) and this is why they can work well in this preparation. Hearing Emmy say "we're gonna be okay" filled me with peace. Thank you Emmy, I've been finding a lot of comfort in your videos and stories on ig and Facebook these days. Definitely helping me with my anxiety!! Sending you and your family lots of love from Spain
I’d love to try this with the coffee and a little cocoa and cinnamon. A throwback to my childhood. Anne Macaffery said that was what kahl tastes like in her Pern cookbook. I had it every morning. Nom!
This is actually really popular in Egypt, when making coffee we just mix the instant coffee and sugar with a spoon full of water in the mug till it reaches this light colour, and then add hot milk, I'm surprised that this made it to the internet! And even more surprised with the reaction its getting! This is everyday life to us. We usually stand in the kitchen talking while making it at work too 😄
Emmy, there are a lot of reasons I like watching your videos…the best of which is because you keep it real! When something doesn’t go right, you don’t cut it but you show what will happen, so your viewers learn and know what not to do! Not to mention it adds a ton of comic relief!!
Reema Al Dahneem It was still runny. I think if you keep the coffee water ratio the same and just add in coco powder it will stay at a good consistency! It tasted great, though!
I tried adding 1 tsp of Fry’s cocoa powder to the final whip and the end and it was great. A second tsp destroyed the whip, turned it syrupy. Still yummy though.
This was such a fun video! I didn't have any instant coffee so I tried it with cinnamon and let me tell you cinnamon foam is delicious! Like the best ever! I have started putting a few spoonfuls in my morning coffee! Thank so much for this new treat! For anyone wanting to make cinnamon foam use equal parts sugar and cinnamon with 3x as much water. The cinnamon will get the consistency of slimy batter but it foams up really nicely.
I tried this and failed miserably. So frustrating! I used a really cheap brand of coffee so maybe that was the issue. Some site said blend for 8 minutes. I gave up after 5 🤷🏽♀️ I’m going to try your recipe tomorrow. We’ll see what happens...
Emmy to do this with green tea you'd probably have to make the green tea and then freeze dry it and collect the crystals of green tea leftover to get the appropriate fineness. Much more fine than the macha powder itself.
TheEarthCreature I was thinking that the biggest difference is crystals versus powder. Powder particles are probably smoother than crystals. Maybe with powder there isn’t enough friction to make a foam.
@@Catwomen4512 I think you can because the particles that suspend in the water are much finer than the leafy ground powder they leech out from, so when you let that settle and then freeze dry the top you're left with ultra puffy crystals that are made with only the finest of the finest of the particles from the product you originally started with.
"Its a matter of weight ratio" as my friend @MontyPython likes to say. @Emmymadeinjapan Since we've all got time on our hands, I think you should test matcha and cocoa at a 1:2:2 ratio so there's less powder. I think the dissimilar size of the powder and the sugar prevented it from foaming nicely. And then test matcha and cocoa with confectioner sugar at the 2:2:2 ratio. Good luck!
curiousdilettante Maxim is a popular Korean instant coffee brand! There are others like Kanu as well. Some have creamer powder mixed in with the freeze dried coffee so lookout for that if you want to make this recipe!
Yvonne Kim I agree. Maxim is one of my favorites. I don’t usually drink coffee with sugar but I prefer the Korean coffee with the cream and sugar added. It’s so good!
This has been going on in Greece since the late 60s; they call it the “Nescafé Frappe.” It started out in a shaker and later they started using the little hand-held blenders. Later they also started adding some evaporated milk to it at the end. There the actual frappe is always iced but people do like to beat the Nescafé when they make it hot too for some foam on top.
We used to make it as kids in the 70's and 80's. Yes our parents allowed us to drink coffee in those days. 🤦🏻♀️ I was taught by Portuguese neighbours in South Africa.
I decided to try making this (the coffee one) on a whim today, the first attempt didn't work out as I tried using a hand blender. Of course then I realized we had an electric whisk so we pulled it out to use it. It turned out amazing, it ended up being kinda mousse-like and very creamy, my mum was super surprised because I think she thought I was mad when I started setting it up.
I bought this milk frother stick from Bed Bath & Beyond like 4 years ago because I wanted to make myself chai lattes. I sucked at making the milk foam and it's been collecting dust. Lemme tell you right now, it REALLY works for dalgona! It takes like 2 minutes for a cup FULL of foamy goodness. I don't regret buying this thing anymore and I'm using it all the time ^.^
I tried adding cocoa powder to the coffeefroth when I made it about 2 months ago to try and make the coffee taste not as bad. It made it taste muuuch better but very soon the froth died... I think cocoa has too much fat in it or something...
I would argue against that. The coffee syrup--no, not dalgona, not whipped chocolate, it's just syrup--was quite heavy. I could easily tell there was hardly any air in there when it sank to the bottom of the milk like a rock. Combining coffee and cocoa and attempting to froth it up would either take just as long as the cocoa-only version, and the foam (if any) would disappear in a short time rather than stay for hours on end.
This coffee foam is actually originated from Macau during the 80's when still under the portuguese administration. Portuguese people love espresso coffee with a layer of crema but on that period, a domestic espresso machine is not that popular and affordable. Simply used a espresso cup with a tsp of instant coffee, sugar and adding hot water drop by drop until it turns into a thick paste. Then whisk vigorously with a spoon until light and creamy. Add hot water to the same cup and a handmade espresso coffee is served. Comment updated on March 27: Since Emmy had mentioned Macau on this video, I was trying to share my version and what I knew about this way of making coffee. Also this handmade "espresso" is always served hot with a layer of crema. What was shown on this video is probably a variation of this foam made by a south korean guy who visited Macau and suddenly it was everywhere over the web. I'm sure there are many other versions and origins of this coffee and I'm not saying that mine is the most authentic one.
Ahh very cool!! My yemeni father in law likes to bring up that they invented mocha while my mother in law (native Mexican) likes to talk about cocoa powder. I will bring this up next time we have this talk lol even though I'm only part Portuguese. I love how this one drink has been modified into even more delish drinks by every culture that encounters them. But tiramisu tho right?
Emmy, I made a "matcha-whipped topping" following your previous video for the magic coffee one (I run out of instant coffee) It worked out well, super sweet but it worked out. I used a leftover package of instant iced matcha drink and 2 tbsp of iced water and sugar- which I should had left out because the matcha mix had sugar in it! So maybe the trick is in using iced water for the matcha and cocoa powder...or maybe it worked because of the extra ingredients in the matcha-drink mix.
Could be the way it's processed too! An instant drink might be freeze dried like the coffee, whereas matcha like Emmy used is genuinely just very, very finely ground tea leaves. Either way, sounds like you managed to make something amazing to me!
If I was to wager a guess on the foam, I'd guess it was the proteins and oils from the coffee beans that are at saturated levels because of the freeze drying.
:O Thank you!! That makes much more sense than the granule theory to me! I was trying to imagine the chemistry of the granule theory and it just wasn't adding up lol
@Kate Stewart Not really, tho I did muse over why they wouldn't and while I am no expert the thing that struck me was the additional bulk solids that you wouldn't be dealing with in the instant coffee. I'd think that the elements would be there at least in the coco powder (not sure about the matcha, cause I still think a lot of it is proteins) but it'd be in all the wrong proportions and there is just a ton of extra junk material in the powders. Where the brewing/freezedrying gets rid of that junk material with the coffee. Again that's all best guess, tho it would make an interesting science experiment.
No, the lower oil content the thicker the foam. Oil causes the bubbles to collapse faster. That's why spray-dried coffee makes thicker foam than freeze-dried coffee. Cocoa powder has too much oil.
Maybe adding 1/4 teaspoons of the instant coffee might make the chocolate one more foamy Edit: just tested it yes it make it more foamy but you need to minus a 1/4 of a teaspoon of the cocoa powder or it just kind of stays cake batter like
thank you emmy! i was laying in my bed on my 3rd week out of work and bored out of my mind and i watched this and remembered i had some packets of instant coffee in the pantry. i had just enough to make this and making it was the most eventful part of my day lol. super fun. and something i normally wouldn’t try. it’s delicious!
Ty Emmy .. you’re such a ray of sunshine .. made me feel connected and smile. I made the dalgona coffee with iced 1% milk and it was delicious. I hand whipped it and that’s not easy at all. It must have been at least 6 minutes before it became thick and I think I could have gone another 3 minutes, but it was thick enough to put on the 3/4 cup iced milk. I sprinkled some cinnamon sugar on top...was amazingly tasty. But don’t drink the foam, mix it into the milk first and leave a bit on top, therefore you won’t get the bitter burnt taste. It’s worth the time! Also, please use an electric mixer!! Takes too much time with the whisk. 👏🏻❤️✌️
ruclips.net/video/6wJgJcSh4ac/видео.html apparently works, but it's a bit labor intensive. I think what's happening here is the hot sugar being whipped forms a meringue.
@@graciereed7325/videos Sugar raises the viscosity and helps the foaming process but brewed coffee has a higher oil content than freeze-dried (or spray-dried, which has the lowest) instant coffee. The oil causes the bubbles to collapse faster. That's why cocoa powder doesn't foam up.
That chocolate one hit me in the feels. It looks like the consistency of "chocolate gravy". The biscuit topping only your Granny or Aunt would make you but never your Mama.
Hi, I am from Romania and my mom used to make cofee from this foam when we were kids...but it was so good that we were eating it just plain😁 without her knowing ofcourse😁

The cocoa version is how we make homemade icing in my country (Denmark) :) It's delicious if you put it on top of a white bun, and here it's a must for easter and birthday celebrations.
When you first put out your video for whipped coffee, I had to try it. My mom told me she used to make it back in Pakistan as a special treat because instant coffee was hard to come by. Then my sister shows me a tiktok about whipped coffee. Finally my friend in South Africa snapped me of her and her relatives making it. I am now going to try it with matcha!
Just tried this with a milk frother because I didn’t want to bring out my hand mixer 😂 still worked like a charm and it’s delicious! Thanks for this one, Emmy!
Made the Dalgona tonight. I used whole milk for husband and teen kid and almond milk for me. WOW!!!! It was sooooo good, we will defiantly be making this again. Thank you Emmy for making this stuck at home a little more entertaining and fun, not to mention tasty!
I made this last week. It was wonderful with coconut milk. It tasted like a melted Jamocho shake from Arby's. I wonder if coffee & cocoa together would whip up better.
we have something similar in italy, we call it "crema caffè" and it's usually refrigerated and consumed during the warmer months. i think they're similar because it's so sweet haha
Okay, I made this! Even with my hand-mixer breaking down (one of the rotors got off somehow and kept hitting the other one and locking up!), so I finished it with one instead of two - it took longer, of course. It turned out awesomely, though! Still VERY strong coffee flavor, but the texture is wonderful. My friend tasted it and said it reminded her of those Coffee Nib candies and so I dolloped some into a jello-bean mold and put in the freezer to make little frozen whipped coffee nibs. Still haven't tried the monkfruit sugar version, but that won't be till I can get a new hand-mixer. Alas.
Came here to say this. The similarities between this and the Greek frappe are quite striking. One clear distinction, however, is that the foam used in this dalgona/whipped coffee is much, much thicker than the quickly dissipating foam often found in frappes--almost like whipped cream, actually. I wouldn't compare it to Cuban coffee because Cuban coffee actually stirs the entire quantity espuma (the sugar paste) into the coffee, unlike whipped coffee which stirs only a little bit to retain the layering. Even still, I would say that Cuban coffee is the most interesting of these whipped drinks because the foam is persistent even after stirring.
What would happen if you whip the coffee and Coco separately then fold the Coco into the coffee foam. Also look for a Mexican Style instant coffee called ( Nescafe Cafe De Olla ) This is a cinnamon flavored coffee.
Make sure you have a really big/deep container. I tried in one that was more cup sized trying to be lazy and not make extra dishes, did not go well for my kitchen.
i tried it in a blender this morning 1/4 cup(60ml) of everything. blender started to leak after 2 minutes, so it didn’t get as fluffy as in the video, but it obviously worked. i had to add a lot of milk to make it drinkable, it’s really strong and sweet. WAY too much for one person, but i had to try it😄. i’ll make it again for a friend when the quarantine is over.
Made this today with my emersion blender and it worked great. I was surprised how sweet the coffee foam turned out. It was enough for probably 3 glasses but i divided it up into 2 glasses. I used Cafe Bustello instant espresso (Mexican Espresso in Texas). Good stuff!
I had never heard of this until I saw your video. I tried it and it was DELICIOUS! For people watching their sugar you can swap half the sugar for stevia w/o significant flavor change. It works with just stevia as well but I wasn't a real fan of the flavor. You can also freeze this for a mocha flavored mousse that delicious on it's own as well.
I wonder if you could make a mocha foam by substituting 1/2 T cocoa powder to 11/2 T instant coffee. Maybe that will give the coffee and extra bit of flavor while still getting that marshmallow texture. Thanks Emmy 😁👍
I gave this a try with your ratios and a whisk attachment in my Kitchen Aid. It was amazing to watch it fluff up so fast! Fun to make and fun to drink - thanks Emmy!
Most instant coffees have additives like emulsifiers, which might be the reason for the matcha and chocolate not beating into the meringue-like texture.
Jessica Sebastião My friend and I tried it after seeing it on Tik Tok. We’ve made it everyday since. 😂 It’s SO good if you like the taste of coffee. It’s not bitter, but it’s also not super sweet. It’s delicious! We just added caramel syrup. 😊
I made the first time this morning and it turned out great! I used regular instant coffee, and the only thing I did different was add about a teaspoon of sugar to my milk before adding the foam, this counteracts some of the bitterness.
It’s actually called frappe and it’s a Greek coffee drink that’s supposed to have the whipped coffee on the bottom. Putting the coffee whip on top is just for the aesthetics.

"Social distancing" is actually easy for me. I am an introverted hermit (and am on the Spectrum). I prefer as little interaction as possible, the exceptions being my husband and kids.
The only reason that I can think of for the difference in how each of the ingredients whipped up, is that instant coffee is generally more like slightly chunky coffee "crystals" and the cocoa and matcha are both very finely milled powders. I also wondered if the matcha and cocoa might have actually worked better with ice water instead of hot water to give them the thicker, airier consistency like the coffee whip you made in that older video. I haven't experimented with any of them yet, but I do think I might give them a go! No matter what the results might be, I'm sure they'll all be yummy! Thanks for another fantastic experiment, Emmy! Your videos never, ever fail to brighten my day!

Nom!
Sounds heavenly
Yusss love the Pern books ♡♡♡
Anne McCaffrey has a Pern cookbook!?
Holey moley am I going to check this out...
It's called "Serve It Forth: Cooking with Anne McCaffrey"...
Have you tried making any of the recipes in it?
SHE HAS A COOKBOOK! 💚🖤💚🖤💚🖤💚
We usually stand in the kitchen talking while making it at work too 😄
Me too. Who knew. We used to make in South Africa years ago.
As a Cuban, we do this as well.
In Portugal we have done this too for ages 😅
The point here is that it's whipped and cold, so not quite the same.
Popular in Greece too! That's how we make café frappe in the summer.
Emmy, there are a lot of reasons I like watching your videos…the best of which is because you keep it real! When something doesn’t go right, you don’t cut it but you show what will happen, so your viewers learn and know what not to do! Not to mention it adds a ton of comic relief!!
If Emmy was my teacher growing up I would have aced every subject. She just brings everything to life.....literally and figuratively.
Get this guys: 1 tbsp cocoa pow, 1 tbsp coffee, 2 tbsp water, 2 tbsp sugar. I’m gonna try that tomorrow!!
neighborhoodman323 how did it go?
@@re-de I tried it, it's delicious! I don't have anything to do all day so it's perfect to spend some time on making one :p
Did the concoction get thick in consistency like the dalgona or was it more syrupy like the chocolate?
Reema Al Dahneem It was still runny. I think if you keep the coffee water ratio the same and just add in coco powder it will stay at a good consistency! It tasted great, though!
I tried adding cocoa to the coffee but it didn’t froth 💔 so i made chocolate milk and topped it with the coffee froth and was good 😍
The whole time my brain was like "Mix the coffee and chocolate ones together!"
YES YES YES! thats what i was thinking aswell!
I was looking to see if someone said what I was thinking! 1 tablespoon of each. Bet it would be great.
JENNY Parrish i am going to try it after this video 😊
thewhaleissues how did it turn out ??? 👀
Ha! Wouldn't have guessed.
I love cinnamon and cinnamon coffee. Thanks for a great idea, James! (and I really liked this video)
I tried this and failed miserably. So frustrating! I used a really cheap brand of coffee so maybe that was the issue. Some site said blend for 8 minutes. I gave up after 5 🤷🏽♀️ I’m going to try your recipe tomorrow. We’ll see what happens...
Scandal Fanatic I've done this with Instant coffee from the dollar store and it worked..you do have to mix it for seemingly forever....
Yes, first thing I thought too as I love cinnamon!
Put the chocolate syrup/ foam at the bottom of the cup add milk 🥛 then add ice 🧊 then the coffee foam and there you go a homemade Starbucks drink ☕️
I love that she tries different things based on a hunch. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't, but you'll never know if you don't try.
i used a handheld milk frother and it whipped the coffee in in 15 seconds it was awesome!
I have one of those! I'm gonna try that :D Does it work for large amounts though?
norwAySMR I’m not sure! I did it with 2 tablespoons of coffee and it worked great! It might work with larger amounts but it might just take longer
@@norwAySMR you can just use a mixer grinder. That's how us Indians have been doing it forever!
Don’t tell anyone but you made frappe coffee lol
Emmy to do this with green tea you'd probably have to make the green tea and then freeze dry it and collect the crystals of green tea leftover to get the appropriate fineness. Much more fine than the macha powder itself.
TheEarthCreature I was thinking that the biggest difference is crystals versus powder. Powder particles are probably smoother than crystals. Maybe with powder there isn’t enough friction to make a foam.
I doubt you can get the crystals finer than the powder, however it may be due to the powder being denser
@@lisabruce1732 you don't need friction to create foam
Good luck!
Lactose intolerance sucks. Combine that with IBS, and you've got yourself a party pooper.
I mean you could use a different type of milk, I'm not sure if coffee will irritate but yk
Almond milk and decaf coffee, my dude.
James omg so true!! I have the same including gastroparesis aka lazy stomach! Best three combos haha
I used oatmilk💩
I’m lactose intolerant and I use my lactose free milk instead 👀
I grew up with an egg yolk whipped with sugar added to coffee. A treat when I visited my Nona and Nono
Korea has THEE BEST freeze dried coffee! I strongly recommend trying it if there is an Asian market anywhere near you. Delicious!!
Thank you! Im going to have to look for it. I use cuban freeze dried espresso. I Love it for iced coffee in the summer
bgishy great suggestion! I’ll be checking out the coffee aisle the next time I go to my Asian grocery store.
Any particular brand?
curiousdilettante Maxim is a popular Korean instant coffee brand!
Since 1957 actually, when a Nescafe representative invented it during the annual Thessaloniki International Trade Fair.
Same in Serbia, i was so shocked when I saw this video and she as surprized the Instant Coffee whipped up
We used to make it as kids in the 70's and 80's. Yes our parents allowed us to drink coffee in those days. 🤦🏻♀️ I was taught by Portuguese neighbours in South Africa.
Who else thought Emmy should've tried mixing the chocolate with the coffee?
StGermain i’m going to try it after this video :)
Yes!!!!!
thewhaleissues how did it go?
You mean 1T. coffee crystals, 1T. cocoa powder?
I tried it just now. I added 1/2 tablespoon cocoa powder to the 2 T of each of the other three......whipped a little longer.....it worked!
I don't regret buying this thing anymore and I'm using it all the time ^.^
She should have tried combining half coffee and half cocoa, yum!
Maybe that would have been more creamy too! I was thinking the same thing.
That’s what I was thinking! Cause I love the taste of coffee and chocolate together. I always put a little chocolate syrup in my coffee.
Comment updated on March 27:
Since Emmy had mentioned Macau on this video, I was trying to share my version and what I knew about this way of making coffee.
No, this was made during WWII when there was no milk, the frothing foam was added to hot water and it appeared creamy as if dairy was added.
@@R14iify Actually my Yemeni friend showed me how to do this when we were in middle school in early 80s . So hats up for your Yamani father.
That's so interesting. Seems like a lot of people have figured out how to do this, maybe even separately.
Cuban espresso is very similar by creaming the sugar with drops of espresso to make a faux crema due to lack of good equipment.
When people ask me “how am I supposed to make delicious meals when food is so scarce right now?” I direct them to your channel. 😂
your voice is soo calming, i feel like your presence would bring peace in a room. Random but i had to say it

Are there any other powders with these properties we can try this on?
I thought it might be the PH. but I don't know.
Maybe adding 1/4 teaspoons of the instant coffee might make the chocolate one more foamy
Edit: just tested it yes it make it more foamy but you need to minus a 1/4 of a teaspoon of the cocoa powder or it just kind of stays cake batter like
Good idea
Great idea! And I bet it’s delicious, too. 😊
I do an almost 1/1 ratio & make moka, my favourite. I also use an immersion blender in a narrow container to get more depth at the beginning.
I just tried and actually had to go down to 1/4tsp of flavour into the ratio of coffee in order to still get to a foam
It does. Add a bit of vanilla and LET THE YUMMY BEGIN!
thank you emmy! i was laying in my bed on my 3rd week out of work and bored out of my mind and i watched this and remembered i had some packets of instant coffee in the pantry. i had just enough to make this and making it was the most eventful part of my day lol. super fun. and something i normally wouldn’t try. it’s delicious!
Ty Emmy .. you’re such a ray of sunshine .. made me feel connected and smile. 👏🏻❤️✌️
I made this 6 time already and let me say it the most yummiest ice coffee I ever taste...this is a budget Starbucks ice coffee 🤷♀️😁😋☕
It’s because of the xanthan gun in the instant coffee, used as a preservative (in case anyone was interested)
So if we add xanthan gum to the chocolate mixture and then matcha 🍵 will it fluff?
So i’m guessing this recipe won’t work with normal coffee then (like if you brewed coffee and tried frothing it with sugar)?
xanthan gum isn't a preservative, its a thickener
ruclips.net/video/6wJgJcSh4ac/видео.html
apparently works, but it's a bit labor intensive.

For anyone wondering: If it doesn't fluff up enough (cocoa version) it indicates there is not enough sugar in the mixture :)

The cold coffee mixture is what we usually drink in Greece during the summer. Try using a straw to mix it, it is so much easier to drink it that way!
frappe with some milk and suger yuuum miss living in Greece
we have something similar in italy, we call it "crema caffè" and it's usually refrigerated and consumed during the warmer months. i think they're similar because it's so sweet haha
I told my grandmother about this recipe since it’s trending and I made it, turns out she knew about it for years 🙄 Why didn’t she ever tell me 😂
This coffee looks so good and I bet it would be delicious with a hint of Kahlua
Alas.
This is surprisingly similar to the Greek frappe as well as Cuban coffee, I think
My Cuban ex MIL taught me how to make the foam part to go on top of espresso over 25 years ago.
The Greek frappe coffee
Also look for a Mexican Style instant coffee called
( Nescafe Cafe De Olla )
This is a cinnamon flavored coffee.
The high oil content in cocoa would cause the coffee foam to collapse fast.
I wonder how this would mix with a stick blender? I'd assume the same as a hand mixer. I can't wait to try this out this week! I'm excited!
I was able to do it with a milk frother... the stick blender would probably be easier.
i did this with just a fork hahaha
it was a bit tiresome but still worked pretty well ~
It work well in a Mason Jar
My hand mixer has a wisk attachment, and I can literally whip this up in less than 5 minutes. It's delightful.
Made this today with my emersion blender and it worked great. I was surprised how sweet the coffee foam turned out. It was enough for probably 3 glasses but i divided it up into 2 glasses. I used Cafe Bustello instant espresso (Mexican Espresso in Texas). Good stuff!
I had high hope for the matcha green tea version but when it sank into the milk, it did make a cool pattern.
Way to look at the bright side. 🙌🏼
I think it could be an interesting technique for a sauce.
I'm tempted to do something like the tiger stripe boba she did a while back with the whipped matcha... find that bright side.
a hack is to add it to whipping cream. ~ yeah it's not the same but the matcha foam will float.
I think that the chocolate one could be used as a substitute for the Hershey's chocolate syrup. Probably 5x healthier too...
That sound effect when you took the unmixed gulp had me cracking up! Can't wait to try this out myself.
It's so cute how much she loves the dalgona texture!

I see this all over tik tok. I only drink coffee when I have too many assignments due but I might still try this
Jessica Sebastião My friend and I tried it after seeing it on Tik Tok. We’ve made it everyday since. 😂 It’s SO good if you like the taste of coffee. It’s not bitter, but it’s also not super sweet. It’s delicious! We just added caramel syrup. 😊

What would you like us to do?
I made the first time this morning and it turned out great! I used regular instant coffee, and the only thing I did different was add about a teaspoon of sugar to my milk before adding the foam, this counteracts some of the bitterness.
It’s actually called frappe and it’s a Greek coffee drink that’s supposed to have the whipped coffee on the bottom. Putting the coffee whip on top is just for the aesthetics.
whenever I make it the milk falls to the bottem and the coffee makes its way to the top
It’s more like nes because the cream is thick, not thin like in frappé.

Kristen Long I’m also autistic and the difficulty for me is the HUGE disruption from my routine haha
Me too!
I made this and tried to freeze some to see what would happen - surprisingly didn’t deflate or solidify ! It makes it nice and cold and a little firmer so that you can make it in advance to go with your milk.
