They became available today in the Netherlands. Immediately ordered mine. I think the red dot doesn't really symbolise anything from past wars and stuff. I think it looks awesome because it now looks like the japanese flag from the side, which is obviously the country where the widebodied F40 is made. So in my opinion, leave the dot!
I know the intention of the red dot is not, but Japan's war crimes in the past were comparable to those of the Nazis. In the past, Japan colonized most of East Asian countries, plundering and genocide. Most countries in East Asia still have negative perceptions of Japan. This is because Germany has shown an attitude of apologizing for war crimes, but the Japanese government still does not.
It’s just the Japanese flag, not the war time flag
