Great job...you got the funk and maybe it's the Scot Paddock greatest shining lesson and performance...excellent. God bless you Scott and thank you for sharing giving your talent...
Hello Scott, Great lesson and fantastic video. This showed me what funk really is. You can use music sheets but you will never get the expression that you teach on this video. Great stuff Scott.
Super cool mate.......your really helping a few more penny's dropping for me.....getting away from reading and more into fluency emotions and easier fun instead of hard core theories .....thanks heaps man!
Yeah man, so many people get caught up in the theory at the beginning, my approach is learn how to start it up and then place the theory in as we get there.
Hey Scott I just heard you a few weeks ago and said you sound like Maceo. Man no disrespect to Maceo but you are up there as well.Whats better is your educating us as well.Do you have funk lessons we can buy?Listening to your tone is sooo expresive, please teach us so we can continue this funk!
Super cool i like all your videos 👌 keep it up. More funk 🎷 and how to combine all the notes. Thanks a lot 😊 sample for G major thanks 😊 beginner's here ❤️ thanks in advance
Thanks for another great video Scott. I feel like I have my scales down (relatively) well. My weakness is rhythm. I get stuck in a rhythm and can't break from it to play another rhythm. I also only play inside (?). I couldn't play outside if I tried. Any advice on how to move on from this? Scales etc are frequently discussed, but there appears to me to be a lack of good advice on how to improve rhythmic playing. Perhaps a SP video? Thanks again !!!
Hey, yeah, that is actually on my list. But start off deliberately playing 2 measure 8th note phrases. That will break you out o the rhythm, then play a long note on beat one, when that 's comfortable do it on beat 2. Then beat 3. And keep doing it until you are comfortable changing the rhythm on every beat.
You make me feel like I could just do it tomorrow perfectly first try. Well done great explanation
Thanks!!
Thank you so much scott, that`s the best funk solos tutorial on you tube!!!
