  • Is the LEPT Passing score 113/150?
    What are your chances of passing the LEPT?
    Clarification:
    The number of items in the majorship section of the LEPT varies on the specific major (area of specialization). In the recent TOS, Mathematics has 120 items while specializations like English, Filipino, MAPEH, Science, Social Studies, TLE, and Values have 150 items.

    Gen.Ed- 80% (120)
    Prof.Ed-87% (130)
    Major-83% (99)
    Yan po nakuha ko sa board exam noong nagboard ako..So yan po ba ang nakuha kong correct items sa exam?
    Math major po ako

      On the assumption, yes. This is the least we can assume since the PRC does not divulge the raw score.

    Yung mga resulta po ba ng mga variables na iyon ay applicable sa lahat ng majors sa BSED? At ano po ang considered na major variable pagdating sa mga BEED, dahil GENED at PROFED lang ang kasama sa kanilang exam at walang majorship?

    • @glentox1563
      @glentox1563  3 месяца назад +1

      Excellent question! Yes, the majorship applies to all majors of UEP-CTE particularly English, Filipino, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Values Education. This research used the general education rating of BEED as their majorship rating. Two new models will be generated that will separate BEED from BSED once the requested 2023 and 2024 documents from PRC arrive.

    Good day, sir Glen! Could you explain any specific strategies or techniques that we are ensure to BALANCE understanding and proficiency across all three area components (majorship, Prof Ed, Gen Ed) to compensate for any weaknesses in the area during the exam?"

    • @glentox1563
      @glentox1563  3 месяца назад

      Good question. Here are the things you need to do. First, familiarize yourself with the TOS for each subject in the LEPT. The TOS for LEPT has the list of topics you need to review. Also, it tells how many possible items are there in that specific topic/area during the LEPT. This knowledge will guide your preparation and help you allocate time and effort effectively. Second, regularly assess your understanding and proficiency. Take practice tests, solve sample questions, and evaluate your performance. Identify areas where you need improvement. Third, allocate time for each subject area based on its importance and your current proficiency level. Avoid spending too much time on one area at the expense of others. Fourth, regularly review your notes, textbooks, and study materials. Revise key concepts to reinforce your understanding. Lastly, seek guidance. Consult with teachers, mentors, or study groups. Discuss doubts, clarify concepts, and learn from others’ perspectives.

    Sir you mention po on the video Yung tatlong areas na nilalaman Ng board sa BSED which are the Majorship, Professional Education and General Education. Sir ask lang po "Are there any specific areas of the exam where candidates or the examinees commonly struggle?"

    • @glentox1563
      @glentox1563  3 месяца назад

      Based on the result of the research, most of the examinees who failed the board also failed in the majorship. That is why majorship is the primary variable that is significant to the result of the board exam.

    hello po Sir,goodday!
    ask ko lng po Sir kung itong predictor na ito is applicable po sa mga scores na nakuha nmin sa mga seminar?reliable po bang pagbasehan yung mga scores po nmin at mapredict po nito na kami po ay papasa o hindi po sa Lept?Thankyou po Sir!

      Excellent question. Based on the research, the model is around 94.3% correct in the prediction of passing the LEPT. For this to be applicable, we have to simulate everything from seating arrangement to time allotment and room assignment. This means the model will be used during your mock board. The scores you receive from each assessment are part of your reflection so you may have an idea of the content of the mock board. Your mock board is a simulation of the LEPT and the model will be utilized.

    Sir, nabanggit niyo po na isang variable ang gender to predict the result of the LET. Pero paano po siya nalalaman kung pasado po based on gender? Mas mataas po ba ang tendency na pumasa ang female examinee compared to male examinee po?

    • @glentox1563
      @glentox1563  3 месяца назад

      Based on the Chi-square result, there is no significant association of gender or sex with passing the board. Ang variables lang na may mga significant relationship with passing the board ay ratings sa majorship, profed, gened, at the year of taking the board.

      Evidence is very important in claiming that you pass the board. The claim that "sure na papasa" is just a word of mouth and has no bearing at all.

    • @glentox1563
      @glentox1563  3 месяца назад

      Malalaman nya kung nakakuha sya ng mataas na passing score kapag mataas din ang rating nya sa bawat areas. Unfortunately, the result from PRC only shows your rating per area.

    BSED - GenEd, ProfEd, and Majorship
    BEED - GenEd and ProfEd
    Tanong ko lang sir, same items lng po ba ang iti-take ng lahat, pagdating sa GenEd at ProfEd?

    • @glentox1563
      @glentox1563  3 месяца назад +1

      Excellent question! Based on the accounts of LEPT takers, mas mahirap ang General Education ng BEED compared to BSED. The scope is deeper and wider compared to GenEd of BSED LEPT takers. On the other hand, ProfEd of BEED is easier compared to ProfEd of BSED because the contents of ProfEd are more aligned with the nature of the program of BEED.

    Sir, is there any specific major that is more or less predictive of board exam success?

    • @glentox1563
      @glentox1563  3 месяца назад

      Unfortunately, a specific area of specialization was not included as the dependent variable in the research. We cannot tell yet, but for the improvement of the model in the next 3 to 5 years, the field of specialization will be included as a variable.

    Sir, are there any specific guidelines or considerations for special cases, such as candidates with disabilities, in the computation of scores for the LET board exam?

    • @glentox1563
      @glentox1563  3 месяца назад

      PWDs are evaluated based on the same criteria as other candidates. However, the PRC considers their individual circumstances when assessing their performance. For example, if additional time was granted, the scoring accounts for the extended duration. PWDs may have different seating arrangements, extended breaks, or other personalized arrangements during the examination. These arrangements are made to ensure a conducive testing environment. PWDs can take the licensure examination at designated testing centers. These centers are equipped to provide the necessary accommodations. The specific testing centers for each examination are announced by the PRC in advance.

    Pwede na po ba mag take agad ng board exam pagkagraduate ng college of teacher education? What if sa first take mo po is nabagsak ilang beses pa po pwede mag take ng board exam?

    • @glentox1563
      @glentox1563  3 месяца назад

      Yes pwede na, as long as complete ka ng requirements sa PRC like OTR, Diploma etc. If you fail the board exam, you can retake it with no limit. However, we suggest that if you fail the board, please make sure to undergo intense review. Marami ang dinaan sa dasal at kapal ng muka ang pagtake ng board subalit bagsak pa din. Dapat daanin ito ng maayos na review!

    God eve Sir. I have somthing to ask lang po
    Can the examinee appeal his/her exaam score if he/she believe that there was an error in grading?

    • @glentox1563
      @glentox1563  3 месяца назад

      If an examinee believes there has been an error in their rating, they can file an appeal. The specific process for appealing may vary, so it’s advisable to consult the PRC or relevant authorities. Examinees may need to submit a formal letter explaining the grounds for their appeal, along with any supporting EVIDENCE. Examinees should reach out to the PRC directly to inquire about the appeal process. Visit the PRC office or check their official website for information on how to proceed.

    • @glentox1563
      @glentox1563  3 месяца назад

      Your question is synonymous with Ms. Dominguez's question.
      But to answer your question, based on the accounts of LEPT takers, mas mahirap ang General Education ng BEED compared to BSED. The scope is deeper and wider compared to GenEd of BSED LEPT takers. On the other hand, ProfEd of BEED is easier compared to ProfEd of BSED because the contents of ProfEd are more aligned with the nature of the program of BEED.
