    Thank you so much for this, Sir! Just want to clarify that the Percentile Rank formula you provided there in the video, how is it different from this formula PR= cf - (0.5 × f) n × 100 and PR=100 (i-0.5/n)?

    Thank you very much Glenn sir! Namaste! I am from India and doing a PhD. I was searching for good guidance in statistics. I am very happy to inform you that your tutorials are helpful to me. I have a query, which testing tool will be good for the data of 2000 respondents? T-score/ Z - score or are there any other options for data analysis? please let me know! waiting for your reply. thank you!

    How do we explain the differences between the percentile rank and the percentile? In excel using norm.dist(1.06,0,1,1) gives 0.855 so we expect someone with a z score of 1.06 to be in the top 15% but the percentile rank puts them at 77 percentile.

    "the mean is always 50"? Do you mean sir that the mean is always the number of entries? Or it's really 50 in all cases?

      Hi, thanks for asking. In T-score, yes the mean is always 50.

    Sir if z-score lang yung need gawin , ano po yung halaga ng percentile rank sa z-score calculation?
    And sa percentile rank bakit po need mag minus ng 0.5, ano po yung function niya bakit need minus 0.5 sa percentile rank?

      Hi, thanks for asking. This video lecture is all about the comparison of raw scores, percentile rank, and standard scores. In my classes, I don't just ask my students to compute for standard scores, I also ask them to compute for percentile rank. This practice is necessary because national exams like NCAE results are given in percentile rank and not in raw score, likewise, some aptitude tests are given in standard scores and not in raw score. The percentile rank formula used in this video is used for manual computation. It is a derived mathematical formula.

    sir may i ask, why my stanine group have more than 9, its up to 14? is it okay to divide it into 3 category, so 7 until 14 count as 3rd/high category? thank you before

      Please redo your computation. Make sure your mean, standard deviation, and z-score are all correct before computing the stanine. Stanine should only be from 1 to 9.

    Where is slot 9, highest slot is 8

    • @glentox1563
      @glentox1563  Год назад

      Hi, thanks for asking. The stanine is based on the z - score. If the z - score is greater than or equal to 1.75, then 9 will appear.
