Mellys girl got the call from him right after the murder and they realized when they told the cops what happened that they would be the lead witnesses. That Mother said it in this interview, it looks like she’s still mad, “That DA thinks she’s going to hang the whole case on our testimony, NO! That ain’t goin to happen.”! Once she told the lead officer her story about the early morning call she realized after days go by that they HAVE LITTLE EVIDENCE. That’s when the mom probably got nervous and realized that their the smoking gun in the case.
I think it makes people not be a witness when something happens to you. You are on your own.

When she brought up how he’s been in jail since 2018. That’s insane. No one should be in a county jail for that length of time when they have a right to a speedy trial. Jails are designed for a maximum incarceration length of two years. By then you should either be convicted and sent to prison, or acquitted and set free. He should be granted bail based on that alone. To anyone one saying let him rot in jail, he’s still presumed innocent until proven guilty. It’s how you would expect to be treated, or your children if they ended up in a similar situation. Anything less is unAmerican.

I love how the attorney jumps in to make sure she doesn't say the wrong thing about how she found out about the murders because he needs to make sure she lies about those events or, at least, doesn't tell the truth. I never heard of YNW Melly until this trial. I watched the entire trial because it was intriguing, on Law and Crime Network who did a fantastic job covering the trial. I also loved this video!! I do however wonder why the photos of the victims look like mugshots? Let's find better photos of the victims, showing them living life.

Terrified witnesses in a murder trial where a prosecutor was already incapable of meeting their burden of proof once definitely would plead the 5th. Whether terrified of the state or terrified of the defendant or his affiliates or both this woman is scared and has every right to be. She is only testifying about what she observed not whether or not she was a part of the crime. The police cannot protect this woman and have already shown her why she should not trust them by threatening her and her daughter (who by the way, was a minor at the time). I think everyone is so hung up on finding him guilty that they're forgetting that either way these two are in real danger. It is easier for her to be on house arrest or plead the 5th than be dead. Be for real here. This is not an entertaining tv show playing out. This is their real life that they have to live every single day.

I think most of the people in the comments section aren't taking into consideration that Mariah and Felicia may be fearful for their own lives. The prosecution should be able to secure a verdict based on the ballistic, forensic, and phone evidence that they already have. If they attempted to coerce these two ladies into testifying, of course that's not the best way to achieve justice for the victims.

At the end of the day when you have a crape DA who is only interested in prosecuting this case for a promotion instead of justice for the family and that shows buy her not having this case ready after having years to have it ready and constantly sneaking in new reports that's all things that are for winning and not protecting the long-term integrity of the case for the victims people need to open their eyes this woman and her shady ways even if she was to get a win if she continues to do shady things like slip in reports and withholding of documents all of that is grounds for legitimate reasons for appeal so she's not looking to secure a legitimate conviction for the victims she looking for a PROMOTION and horrible Law Enforcement investigation from the beginning the FEDs need to come in and investigate both it's extremely sad there are victims and there should be no questions but unfortunately people are wrongfully accused all the time and you get overzealous prosecutor who want a promotion so bad they will do anything for it thinking they won't get in trouble.

It is my opinion that when she lies she responds in a short and nervous way.
Example: if she's ever seen him with guns, she replies, no, short, and shrinks. In other responses where she says no, she says a normal no and sometimes says another word or two.
