I've had this problem with my Elegoo Neptune 4 Pro. Try these: Ajust the z offset down more. You're still too high. You need way more drag.
Don't use normal infill for high speed printing. Use gyroid. That will stop the dragging. Turn on some lift or zhop while retracting as well.

I have this exact same problem with my neptune 4 max. I got it to the point it can print, but it's still such a massive pain in the ass because I know it WILL mess up against if I ever have to recalibrate my bed again. Switching to gyroid alleviated the issue, but that shouldn't be necessary. The fact that is basically required just proves there is a problem with the printer. It does the same thing even after all the firmware updates, which leads me to believe it was a hardware issue they didn't want to admit it, instead of a software issue as they originally claimed.

Have you tried adjusting the extruder's z-axis offset?

never could get "grid" infill to work. gyroid was my go-to when I used my nepturn 4. however I since upgraded to a p1s and use exclusively cubic infill now

@@FreshOffTheBuildPlate have fun with the P1P! I’ve been on creality printers until I was fed up fine tuning and fixing issues instead of printing. After 4 years quitting 3D printing altogether I tried again last week with the P1S and it has been so much joy! Printing non stop 😅

i know exactly whats wrong with it, same thing happend to my creality ender 3 v3 se, but that happend to my printer after a year of use, and basically what happens is that the z offset sensor is faulty, so when you change it the printer changes it back to what the faulty sensor says, this happend to my ender 3 v34 se after a year of use, but for you i am pretty sure that yours came with a faulty z offset sensor and that caused the problem

I have to use them at a local makerspace. I hate them. I have a super janky and old facebook marketplace Prusa Mk3, and it works sooooo good. I would rather have an old Prusa that works, than this piece of junk. And, the german translations are complete bullshit.

You shouldn't have to adjust the motor current, but I feel like it might be losing z steps. While it's moving, try feeling the z drive to see if it's weak
I wouldn't adjust the current without support telling you though, it might void your warranty
