Hoffmann Violin Concerto Excerpts

Ania is explaining how while searching for E.T. Hoffmann ( 1786-1822) informations by total luck we found Robin Hoffmann on internet in February 2010
So she is also saying that after 3 criminal acts of partitions of Poland by Prussia , Austria& Russia Prussia for its own reasons wonted to know exactly how many Polish Jews were living on Polish territory annexed by Prussia.
Cir 1806 Berlin gave the task to E.T.A Hoffmann (known for his Tales ) not only to count Polish Jews but to give them new ,German sounding last names so they would feel more Prussian than Polish forever.
E.T A Hoffmann not only spoke perfect Polish, had a Polish wife but his own grandparents were Polish so he had no problems with communication.
Since he was a writer above all this is why so many Polish Jews besides names like Edelman, Szpilman, Zyngielbojm , Rubin, Rubinstein, Diamond have also so poetic last names like Rosen ( Aron Rosand's parents) Rosenblum, Goldblum , Rosentstiel, Rosenthal . Liebrozen etc.
This is how it all started with Robin in February 2010, simply by chance while we were learning polish chapter of E.T Hoffmann's life.
Violin Concerto was commissioned from Robin Hoffmann on February 24 2010 to be recorded just few months later.
This is Ania's first and only meeting with the conductor few days before recording with LSO at Abbey Roads on July 2 & 3 2010 her album Virtuosity.
She did not meet yet personally Robin Hoffmann. They communicated via internet only since February 2010. Robin would arrive for the recording next day.
