True Pharrell is more versatile can do disco, pop, hip hop, funk, rock whatever you want he will compose it and make a hit easily. But Ye created way more new genres and he's been taking more risks. No one would be crazy and open minded enough to ever thought about doing Yeezus or Life of Pablo. He opened doors for new genres and still expanding. Kanye is definitely more influential, Pharrell would just do his thing and bang. But Kanye been breaking so many barriers so that his music could be accepted. @Cweezy580 you do know he helped with SWVs "Right Here", wrote "Rump Shaker", and helped with everything Teddy Riley did in the 90s right? "Superthug" was 98, Kelis was 99, it's lighter than RZA or Dre maybe but he had impact...

Kanye has mastered countless sounds that have gone on to inspire and be copied by so many parfaits and producers. Pharrell intrigues you’re mind. Kanye blows it. Even the argument that Kanye has a lot of collaborators is kinda void because of the hand chad hugo has had in Pharrell career.
Pharrell insane . But Kanye produced all of his songs. 03 Bonnie and Clyde , Izzo, and Encore for jay z. A bunch for Talib Kweli, Slow Jamz , Gold Digger, keyshia cole , so many more bangers .
They mad at Ye coz he's all over the neighborhood... People thinks Ye samplings are easier than non sampled songs... Actually it's more creative to sample than to make a beat from scratch... Only producers can understand that... Imagine creating Barry Bonds that sample gives you something better than a song you never knew
you get it. Also kanye is arguably the best sampler of all time. i know some will attack me for that but just go look at his solo productions for common, the game, keysha cole, alicia keys, jayz, rick ross. There’s more but if you look those up it’s an easy toss up for Ye.
Pharrell is a musician. He can sit behind any keyboard & play you a melody. He understands music theory. Can Ye do that? Also, Pharrell’s beats are Pharrell’s beats. Kanye has used ghost-producers for his joints
Team Kanye. I’m not crazy about him as a person but Kanye is mad gifted. Also Pharrell is a genius and is top tier. But if I have to pick I gotta go Kanye.

I think Kanye has the edge here. Not because popularity but being honest with his music despite a targeting audience. Pharrel in terms of a broader audience. More musical than lyrical. For me its obvious that Kanye takes the win.
This is a really good and harq question, but to me, BY FAR, its Kanye. Kanye has produced entire albums of legendary hits. Heartless, Two Words, Diamonds are Forever....just to name 4%. Pharell has some really good hits...but Kanye probably has x3 the volume of hits. Even as a beat producer, I will go so far as to say Kanye is as good as Timbalans and Dre. I used to consider Timbo the real king of beats...till one day it hit me. And I realized how unique and creative Kanyes beats are, and once again, the quantity. Very few artists can claim to have produced a string of 5, 6+ legendary albums... Kanye has.
The Absolute Disrespect to Chad Hugo is ridiculous…Pharrell didn’t create all those songs by himself, and when Pharrell did his solo album it was mostly Ok.

Then he checks into a studio for two weeks and edits what 50+ people made for him, and puts his name on it. I went out of my way to track down exactly how some of his better songs were made at one point, like cruel summer, Pablo, ye, other solo work. It’s not just my taste it was the hits. It wasn’t made by him. Some other person had the idea, fleshed it out completely, and all he did was like a vampire absorb it into his own discography. That khaii from Davido is A1😂😂😂
Ya’ll Heard Masterpieces That Kanye Produced, C’mon man!
Kanye is a Dying Breed of producers.
Dying breed? none like him
YE 🥷🏼
Pharell easily.
#1 albums across 3 decades? Kanye hands down and its not even close. I like P but most of his votes were because people don't want to align themselves with Kanye because of his political stance.
Did everyone forget about Chad Hugo's role in the Neptunes? Sheesh.
Exactly. Chad Hugo did a lot.
Kanye for me, he is the one that inspired me into making beats when i was young.
Notice how more people in music said Pharrell and more people outside of music said Kanye
?
Seems like you didn't recognize some of these people 🤣And even if that was true it's most likely because he is easier to work with in the studio, I would imagine
Every rapper today has Kanye’s roots.
I love the fact that pusha was just sitting there in silence thinking about all the times he's witnessed both of them work
I don't see how Pharrell is even in the same league as Kanye, this man holds 20 grammys, Pharrell is very talented but Ye is an actual genius.
Both are unique but Kanye's music just hit different.
Yeezus was hardly inspired by The money store, so not a new genre tbh
Yeezus is a classic @@thalest.7067
Surprised by Snoop's answer. Pharrell produced about 13 hit records for Snoop in two decade.
The number isn't close to 13.
Till Pharrell make a college dropout, late registration, graduation, mbdtf or a watch the throne then it’s Ye all day!!!
dont forget Yeezus
Producer wise, it's Pharrell. He can do/has done it all and it's not even close. Artist wise, Kanye...classic rap albums.
But he’s made stuff that sounds the same if not better tho…
Partner? Kanye has STOLEN from hundred of artists. Why would he partner when he can just take the credit lol. Kayne couldn’t make an album without a sample.
@@bornbredcltIn My Mind and The Clones are both classics and chart toppers so...
I love Ye. He's my absolute favorite. But Pharrell was the soundtrack for the whole of the 90's. He has Rap songs, Pop songs and Rock songs. He can do everything.
Really?
🧢🧢🧢🧢
The soundtrack for the whole 90s lol. I love Pharrell & Neptunes but no TF he wasn’t.
@Cweezy580 you do know he helped with SWVs "Right Here", wrote "Rump Shaker", and helped with everything Teddy Riley did in the 90s right? "Superthug" was 98, Kelis was 99, it's lighter than RZA or Dre maybe but he had impact...
And ye had his hands in everything after that. Lol.
Thanks!
❤❤
Kanye West All Day Period!! That Dude just shifted the all culture!! YE👑🐐✊🏾
The Pusha T interludes 😂😂😂
I go with Pharrell but Kanye 🤯 he’s genius
You’ve been trained to say that. Kkkanye has called himself a genius so much; it got everyone else believing it 🤭
@@jt2458hh it’s OK if you don’t like him for his political beliefs, but to deny him being a genius is flat out ridiculous. Remember, it was Jay Z and Benny Siegel who said he was a genius first.
Pharrell is one of the goats and deserves praise and respect but has only really mastered one, maybe two sounds.
Two legends 👏
Pharell is the bigger one.
Big Sean Picking Pharrell is Crazzy!!
Ill go with pharrell
Pharell. This isn’t even a debate.
Kodak at 8:06 got me crying 🤣
😭😂😂😂
They mad at Ye coz he's all over the neighborhood... People thinks Ye samplings are easier than non sampled songs... Actually it's more creative to sample than to make a beat from scratch... Only producers can understand that... Imagine creating Barry Bonds that sample gives you something better than a song you never knew
Factz
you get it. Also kanye is arguably the best sampler of all time. i know some will attack me for that but just go look at his solo productions for common, the game, keysha cole, alicia keys, jayz, rick ross. There’s more but if you look those up it’s an easy toss up for Ye.
Pharell beats are original. Sampling is one thing but original production puts you on another tier. His chord progressions and melodies are A1
Nice editing!👏👏👏
If you don’t say Kanye it literally has nothing to do with music, this impossible comparison. Kanye has a crazy catalog.
Pharrell is a musician. He can sit behind any keyboard & play you a melody. He understands music theory. Can Ye do that? Also, Pharrell’s beats are Pharrell’s beats. Kanye has used ghost-producers for his joints
Blah blah blah blah blah. Press play what's harder. Period
whaaaat???! 😂😂😂
ye!? melody? nah you bugging. pharrell will say he bruh. if we is going by this
Kanye has never used ghost producers lmao
You're confusing producing and beat making like most people do
@@KareemK-jl3sj ghost producer (co-producer) whatever...Kanye had some help. And his stuff still sounds weak
@@lgilmore9985 ok
Most the pherrell votes felt they had to explain why it isn’t Kanye. That’s saying something. Kanye is the goat producer no challenge
He said Kanye or Pharrell as a producer or artist, so Ye wins, and if these 2 had a versus Ye would really show out.
The fact they tied speaks just how incredible both of them are
Both are definitely goats but look at the body of work and Kanye wins tbh
It’s Pharell and it’s not close.
@@tony4534 p ain’t never made 808s & heartbreaks or graduation
Alica Keys choosing Ye tells you everything you need to know about that man’s greatness.
Team Kanye. I’m not crazy about him as a person but Kanye is mad gifted.
Also Pharrell is a genius and is top tier. But if I have to pick I gotta go Kanye.
Legend has it Pusha is still trying to make a decision......
Pharrell no question
Love he's music
and he's personality
How many grammys pharell got compared to kanye?
Which album he produced outsold kanye West albums he produced?
What has personality got to do with talent? Are you a fan of music or a groupie?
@@edobwoy
Kanye is talented but I don't like he's music.. and if we talking about Grammy ..
so eminem got 15, thets make him a great artist? Grammy means nothing actually
Grammys means nothing@@edobwoy
How many grammys does the grants have Ike biggie pac nas dmx I can go on but I like them more than people who have emote than 10 grammys who cares its wtf I like
@@rowanphillips2324
Right ..
Pac biggie and rakim didn't get no one but they don't need this..
They are legends cos of their music and influence
Where is Pharell? I can't see Pharell doing anything. Kanye is all over. He's producing , singing, rapping, setting trends, doing fashion and always the talk of the planet not just town.
Kodak: and kanye i feel like i could be his mentor or sum 😂🙃
That snoop cop out is sublime 😂
Dope Pharrell
Genius Kanye
I take a shot 🥃
I like what Kevin Hart said... "I'll take Kanye can he can stand in the fire" FACTS.. Ye and scared of ISH.. He's not rolling with just any narrative that makes him money. "When my campaign turned to canned pain.. I burned 8 billion to take of my chains"... Kanye 🔥🔥
I feel Kanye mastered, what other producers started. Neptunes created a whole new sound.
I think Kanye has the edge here. Not because popularity but being honest with his music despite a targeting audience. Pharrel in terms of a broader audience. More musical than lyrical. For me its obvious that Kanye takes the win.
I hate to say this but I think it’s YE
This was my deciding factor! Chad was really that guy.
Besides The Neptunes he's made his own shit as a producer for 2 fucking decades so just say you don't know about his catalogue
@@jeyneo.8924I truly believe he wouldnt have become half the producer he is without first working with Chad. Kanye did everything on his own.
@@JeatBunkie I don't really think so, we talking about a man that became a fashion designer without even study fashion. He's a genius and Kanye another. I put them at the same level.
@@jeyneo.8924 Kanye become one of the most successful fashion designers of all time, definitely the most the successful to crossover from another industry. Pharrel did some cool stuff I guess but he doesn’t come close.
Ask jayz last even though he not gonna be on drink champs ever but his opinion really matters
You need a producer who's not only good with his craft but just makes life easy for you as an artist... So Kanye West for me sure. Pharrell is a more complete producer, and a people person but you can't argue with the fact that kanye has been a major source of inspiration for top artists like Travis scott, ASAP rocky...
For crying out loud, we're dying to listen to his album.
Well done & edited pretty well
It’s Kanye West ZERO debate.
Ummm nah lol
Clearly there is a debate
Kanye made a huge impact musically the whole industry changed because of that
I'd say pharrell based off of the versatility. The dude has production credits with artists of so many genres.
Agree completely, people ovevrating kanye. Kanye has less hits and has produced some serious garbage last few years. Pharell like not just a hiphop porducer, he a multi genre legend.
Nobody makes you feel music like ye
@@saqib7965 you must not hear alot of P shit. im sure youll find 10 songs you love that he produced that you didnt even know he did. P is sneaky, he move like amoeba...
@@corsinivideosKanye is underappreciated the hell P does have versatility but Kanye has more then that he makes his own genres literally every album he made has a different sound then the other he's a genius bruh and he made graduation plus you can't argue that P has more hits when you said grammys dont matter that literally makes no sense one more thing is Ye has the better discography and is more influential
Kanye simply cos his works are mostly individually distinct without a noticeable signature. ...and they all turn out great.
It should be illegal to ask Pusha T this question
To be fair, this one was very close, because I'm a fan of both and have both their music, either their own music or music they have produced. Pharrell is more prolific in terms of hits, but Kanye is to me is on a different level in my opinion.
Kanye west 👍🏾
Depuis la France, même de l'Afrique.
Un de son de KY que j'écoute encore et encore...
Dilated people ft kanye West (this way)✌🏾
Great Video
Kanye for me. Pharrell's non singles was never all that good for me. I can listen to a Kanye album straight through.
What Kanye album can you listen to all the way through? Cause it’s not even Kanye it’s other producers. Kanye doesn’t make his own music.
@@ExcitedAnacondaSnake-hg8ec that’s a false narrative. He collaborates with other artist just like every producer in the game. And also, all his albums besides a few, you can listen to throughout and they flow so perfectly.
@@Broadkill54 how is it a false narrative when no one is saying it? And yeah, “collaborate”. He underpays and abused a bunch of kids to make beats for him for months while he’s jet setting and acting a fool in the media, in business, making ugly clothes. At most he says “I want a beat that does such and such and is like such and such”. He isn’t on the front lines until it’s all done, and he picks what he likes. That’s essentially what he does. Not even a Dr Dre who is with his producers as they are making the beats and directing them programming drums, etc. he cracks a whip.
@@ExcitedAnacondaSnake-hg8ec not reading all of that, but this seems very personal to you lol
@@Broadkill54 most producers make their own music. Kanye hires producers to make music for him and takes credit as well as underpay them and abuse them, terrorizing kids working days straight to the point of being literally hospitalized and firing them when the ambulance takes them away (true story). He is a blabbering fool too, the numerous things he has said socially, are harmful and ridiculous. I still hear kids repeat things about the black American slaves being at fault for their predicament , racism against Jewish people. No , Kanye is not like other producers, he does less than anyone I can think of.
