Fun idea to use the simulation with no cohesion, surface tension, or adhesion to achieve a ball pit like result. They need a bit more restitution though, not quite bouncy enough.

If you already have to calculate collisions, and you do, you could fake it by playing a sound file with different levels of clacking depending on roughly how many collisions are taking place, maybe you could have a few balls (1 out of 500 maybe?) be sound emitters that sample the collisions for their region, and play the sound at their origin, which should handle volume too. There's probably a leagues simpler option, though. I don't even know if mine is possible in source, though it doesn't feel like it shouldn't be. I just know nothing about source.
here's a cool idea make a toggle where if the gwater touches map water like the lake in construct it disappears so its like the gwater combined with the map water

Will gwater 2 come with a tool to remove particles manually (like a remover tool for the particles, preferably with a radial area of effect)? Looks kind-of annoying that the only way to clean up stray particles is to delete all particles and start over from scratch.
I have another idea, what if you could change the swim speed, and like how thick the liquid is so like in a ball put instead of just falling right in it basically anchors you and you can move freely but everytime you stop you stay it place. Idk, just thought that would be cool
it runs so good in fact that he had thousands of particles and runs like a piece of cake but you cannot even run 1 or 5 thousand parts in a roblox client without lagging even with an high end hardware
I love going on this map, using a prop to block different rooms, and just spawning a hell of a lot of those balls until it hits critical mass and the physics go nuts lol.

not likely considering they are transparent most of the time
Culling this way would be more performance hindering than benefiting. Checking whether the particle is obscured has a cost in it self.
