Fast forward a decade I was in my youth and I am the one watching the series he said he never had a chance to finish it. And we finished it together when I was young. 20 years from that time now, I discovered this song which is the ending is about the longing of a son for his father. It is more than a year now since my oldman died now this song hold something dear to me more than the nostalgia with the series but also about my papa how I miss him now. It makes me go in tears more now than ever.

Haha I remember back when I lived in the phillipines, I would get so excited seeing the theme song and would jump around pretending to be like them. My grandfather and I would watch Voltes V and when I get home from school he'd make sure to save the TV for the both of us so no one else can watch while we watch this show. It was our thing for a couple of years then I moved to America and got sad we couldn't watch the show we loved so much together anymore. My grandma told me that he still saves the TV and would watch it himself after I left. Now Im crying because I miss him so much, it's been so long since Ive seen him. The only time I got to see him again was when I went back home 2 years ago because he was already slowly getting sick... but man this song brings so many fond memories from my childhood.

I lost my dad last monday. Nothing could've prepared me for it. We didn't see it coming. Whenever I want to remember him and whenever I want to have a good cry to process my grief, I listen to this song. I love my dad so much. I want him to make him proud. I wish he could see me succeed in life but he's gone now. I miss him so much.
