I always wonder why Marc Anthony curl styling products don’t have many reviews online. The products seem interesting and affordable. I saw that they have a flex hold gel on Amazon. I would love to see a review on that product and maybe other products from the Strictly Curls line.
I am going to continue my Affordable Drugstore Series in 2024. So if I get through some other brands I would like to feature, and still have room in my schedule, I may revisit this brand again.
I just want to make a quick note that I definitely filmed ahead for this video so I could be prepared during a very busy season (fall harvest on the family farm along with regular job). Since I had recorded this video, Swavy Curly Courtney also came out with a review of Marc Anthony, and gives some of her insights on this mousse.
There is a curl jelly in this line% just trued it yesterday and really liked how it turned out. Also like the Marc Anthony Grow Long Anti-breakage Styling Jelly
Hi ! I use these products and when I put in the lotion, my hair becomes like stiff and I have no slip at all, so I use a detangler and use it with the mousse and get curls for days 😮 That shows we all have unique head of hair 😊
I’m looking for reviews on the leave in conditioner but haven’t found any. This is my second day using and both times I used I had a gumball size wade of hair come out both times which is not normal for me. I’m wondering if it’s the Marc Anthony leave in conditioner. I’m going to compare the lotion ingredients with the leave in conditioner. I noticed you mentioned increasing in shedding. It is too bad because I also bought the shampoo and a cream and loved them both.
I typically have increased shedding in the fall, so it was probably due to that. Fall of 2023 I had my fall shedding cycle, but it wasn't as bad as previous years (I believe due to using the Briogeo Scalp Density Serum). I honestly don't think my personal experience had anything to do with the stylers I used. I can't speak to your situation, and I'm sorry you've experienced that. Increased hair shedding can also happen because of previous illness (that's happened to me) and/or internal vitamin or hormonal changes.
@@lifeoffinecurls I appreciate your reply to clarify the extent or possible cause of your shedding compared to mine. I did recently have surgery about a month ago but this hair thing only happened within past few days. Thanks a bunch!
Hello Jody! It is interesting that they don't have some sort of gel, jelly or custard. I have not tried them, yet. I think mousses don't have much of a hold, so when I do use a mousse or foam, I will either glaze a hard hold gel, diluted with some water or use hairspray before diffusing. Also, I have noticed some mousses and foams do leave my hair feeling producty. Have you tried a hairspray as a styler? I've seen @ManesByMell, @MarisasCurls and some others tried it. They would just use some cream underneath the hairspray. I think I just might try it. BTW, congrats on reaching over 1k subscribers 🎉🥳👏

It's funny bc Swavy Curly Courtney recently tried this mousse and she felt it was one of the few that didn't give her a producty feeling, but similar to me, she felt it didn't give her enough hold. I have tried a few creams that give a light hold (LUS and Curly Chic) paired with a hairspray, and generally like my results. But I have never used only a hairspray.
@lifeoffinecurls I just re-read my comment and cleared it up. That's what I meant, using hairspray underneath a curl cream or leaven-in. Sorry for the confusion.

Agreed - NEVER the same day twice. It would be interesting to see the mousse paired with gel. I like the Cake mousse so am curious about this one.
It felt like the Cake mousse when applying, but my results were far different, in my opinion. I like the Cake mousse too.

I hadn't seen too many reviews on these, but they were affordable and at my local Walmart, so I thought others may be interested in a review.
Used this product, my hair really got damaged after using for awhile, will not ever go back to this product again
