  • The Vevor compact light weight portable band saw is an excellent addition to any workshop. It has a Variable Speed 10Amp Motor for cutting metal & wood. We put this saw through the test by cutting stainless steel & aluminum pipe for a turbocharger and radiator by making pie cuts. This video includes a tutorial on how to easily make pie cuts.

Looks very similar to ones sold in UK by lidl as parkside and Aldi's workzone brands, I think there's a connection to 'puly' tools china. Mine has been very very useful.

Nice band saw. I myself have a cold cut saw that works great.
Could you do a more step by step of the pie cut process?doing the layout, and as well, is there different sizing for different bend radii

We also have a cold cut. We will make a how to pie cut video soon.

@@brandonwelsh2743 sweet. I’ve got some upcoming projects I could use that technique on.
I see so many “high dollar” shops with RUclips channels that still use chop saws. Cold cut saws are so much better, and I’ve not understood why they wouldn’t upgrade.

@@bobuncle8704 yes, I just wish the blades lasted longer and were cheaper.

@@brandonwelsh2743 hey Brandon, see if you can find a local company that does cryogenic treatments. I’ve a company (Bayson Heat Treating London Ontario🇨🇦) near me that does cryo treating as well heat treating. I use the 14” Diablo 72 tooth blade($150🇨🇦 =@$110🇺🇸). They process my new blade for $20🇨🇦(that’s a deal I think as I do bring them other work), and it more than doubles the life of the blade.
These treatment are good for just about anything. They treat heads, blocks, bracketry, etc. They even has someone who brings in his electronic stereo equipment for these treatments. It’s worth looking into.

The reason that these blades always drift to the same side is due to manufacturing. These blades are stamped out, so one side of the blade is sharper than the other side. The blade will drift toward the sharper side. Scroll saw blades are the same way, which is why you can purchase some scroll saw blades manufactured in a way that does not have this effect.

Glad it is working for you but I wouldn't trust Vevor....
Bought a 2500W power inverter from them and it is not really good.
The LCD screen usually works for less than a minute and the efficiency is marginal. A 1500W heater tested (usually the easiest and best load ever to test) drew over 2000W according to the randomly work screen and my maths.....

Yeah, can’t say much for their other stuff. If it every takes a shit on us you’ll definitely hear about it in a future video 😂

I've purchased quite a bit from Vevor. This bandsaw is not my favorite. I've already snapped two blades, (not from heavy pressure or heat). Vevor doesn't sell replacement blades??
Also the vice is not functional on 4" or 5" round stock and thinner flat-bar that needs to lie flat, it slides underneath the back riser of the vice. Larger diameter material will not seat and hold while sawing and make crooked cuts.
I'm pretty disappointed in this saw.
