Hi Jonathan, this T guitar with those pickups was an absolute joy to listen to. Crisp and bright with just enough twang. Well played. Cheers ✌️🎸💜

Good evening dear friend, a very inspiring video, it will definitely help those players who are already at a certain playing level and are looking to improve their guitar sound. The processing and appearance of the guitar looks great from a technical point of view. Greetings Pavel CZ.👍👍👍

Great demo, thanks! Impressive! Really like the overall sound, there's 'body' there without the super bright Tele 'chicken pickin'' edge some of them have. Big fan of Lollars. I have P90s in my Casino and will be putting Imperial (with splits) in my old Epi DC Custom for a bit of extra PAFfy ooomph.

Picked up a Squier CV50 Purple Pete last year....yes...dropped in a set of those pups and it's a KILLER sounding guitar. Full body, clarity, articulate. I have nearly a dozen Tele's...mostly budget...and I experiment with different pups to see what sounds best....to date....these best MFDs, NoCaster, Fralin, Seymour, LSL, Suhr, and McNelly. The Chicago Specials on my Fender CS are excellent too...but is it the guitar or the pups? Lollars...hard to beat...found on many boutique guitars over the years. Happy for you, Jon....great playing....great looking/sounding guitar.

Jonathan, your playing is just outstanding - very enjoyable! And really like your precise and informative reviews of instruments and accessories. In the not so distant future, I'll be picking up a nice Martin and trying to decide between an OM-28 and M-36. From what I understand, the OM's are more consistent in their sound than the M-36.

I'm sure they are great pickups, but I think you could make six rubber bands and a can of cream corn sound like heaven, brother.

Oh man! That intro tune... So soo sweet! Was that the neck pickup? I was waiting for you to wail on that tune. I almost cried when you didnt hahaha The pickups sound wonderful and so do you Jon! Im thinking maybe a set of these in a 50's roadworn tele. Thanks for sharing! 👍🏻

the humble telle never sounded so good and beautifull playing again jon
i dont play guitar but own a stack of good guitars, i recently bought a mexican telle from japan in a grey green /gold colour that has twin humbuckers from the factory and a nice rosewood neck,, its a beautifull guitar, i bought lolar humbuckers to get fitted i am sure it will be as good as the custom shop stuff once setup professionally and the lolat pickups fitted.

Hmm… Maybe I’ll give that a shot but I’m pretty satisfied with the stock pups on my Shijie TLV-Pro. One thing that happened was the volume pot became scratchy and no amount of DeOx would cure it. I ended up installing a Mojo Tone harness and that not only fixed the volume pot issue, it sounds better because of the capacitor. New problem: The Shijie plastic knobs wouldn’t fit. So I ended up buying Fender classic brass knobs.

I've seen your vintage stack video and it sounds great. I've been hunting for the perfect bridge pickup for my own and it's down to Duncan Vintage Stack, Duncan Quarter Pound or Lollar Special T.
Leaning towards the QP but it sounded a bit like an LP at times on demos I listened. What do you think between Lollar Special T and Quarter Pound?
I usually play punk, grunge and a bit of blues.

Curious how you think the Special T bridge Pup would sound as a replacement on a Fender Aerodyne Telecaster. Think at some point to tame the brittle bit on mine.
