How to Delete Facebook Account on PC or Mac

- Tired of Facebook? Learn how to deactivate or permanently delete your account.
Here's how you do it:
1. Navigate to Facebook.com
2. Log in with your user credentials
3. Once you log in, click on the down arrow in the top right-hand corner
4. Click Settings
5. Click on Your Facebook Information
6. Click on Deactivation and Deletion
7. Select to either deactivate or permanently delete your account.
What the different options mean:
Deactivating your account can be temporary.
Your profile will be disabled and your name and photos will be removed from most things you've shared. You'll be able to continue using Messenger.
Deleting your account is permanent.
When you delete your Facebook account, you won't be able to retrieve the content or information you've shared on Facebook. Your Messenger and all of your messages will also be deleted. Facebook offers a 14 day grace period before permanently deleting your content.
When you delete your account, your friends will not be notified. They just won't be able to see your profile anymore.

My post and others don't show up on my home page anymore. I might get one of two things and then the rest of Facebook is just blank. I'll hit the reload icon and I might see a couple more and the rest is blank. This has been going on for weeks.

With GDPR and other privacy requirements, governments are forcing tech companies to wipe out user data on request. If tech companies don't comply, there are big fines involved. We should be closer to a world where wipe it out for good means just that.
Yep it s illegal to keep users data after they had requested deletion of their accounts !

My Aunt passed away and the family wants to delete her account but the problem is they don't have her password. How do they contact someone to get it done? What adds to the complication is none of them have ever had Facebook and I myself don't dabble in it so I'm not sure if they have a customer service phone number or what.

It asks for my password, but tells me it's the wrong password, and asks me to change it, which has been done again and again and it just doesn't accept it

No I want to know how to remove any history, any cookies and any passwords, any tracks of facebook that is stored in my computer itself.
For instance I have deleted facebook and the password associated with it from chrome and delted facebook cookies by clicking on the lock button that is up there on address bar's left corner. Yet when I type facebook dot come, there appears my email address and password associated with the facebook account.
How does that happen?

BTW if your account is deactivated, and you then need to login into a 3rd party app using Facebook, it WILL REACTIVATE YOUR ACCOUNT.

No its not helpful, I hit any reason to deativate and they dont let me, they give instructions on how they can help me like it better, I hit ever last option and it never lets me deactivate , fuck facebook , Do another post and follow thru , you will find it wont let you delete or deactivate , again fuck facebook ,
You need to update how to get rid of facebook > There options as you show are not avaliable any longer
