Funny thing is that I am Seventh-Day Adventist from birth until now - 50 plus years, and was not even aware of the Trinity issue. However when reading a SDA trinitarian's devotional book (nothing related to the Trinity issue ) some years back, I read the Bible -as it reads (I might add) and came upon the beautiful statement taken from the passage of John 14:22,23.
22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?
23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and WE will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
When I read this it was like reading it for the first time. I was blown away! Wow! "When I have the Holy Spirit in some strange way God the Father and Jesus come into my heart!" I thought. This has me much joy.
Since that epiphany I have learned about the One True God movement and see so much consistency in what our pioneers believed. I say wow, when I was little and we would sing of Jesus being in our heart but we get older and move away from this idea; but is is NOT the case JESUS is my heart! It's CHRIST within the (only) hope of glory!

We must be consistent in our Bible interpretation methodology. We cannot in one breath say that we are to accept a natural reading of the verse and when it suits us we spiritualize it and say it is a metaphor.

    "Through the beloved Son, the Father's life flows out to all; through the Son it returns, in praise and joyous service, a tide of love, to the great Source of all. And thus through Christ the circuit of beneficence is complete, representing the character of the great Giver, the law of life." {Desire Of Ages 21.2}

Scriptures only make reference to only refer to two divine beings.
How many Divine Beings are involved in the judgment? Two. (Dan 7:13)
How many Divine Beings are involved in the everlasting gospel? Two. (John 3:16-18)
How many Divine Beings will the believers have fellowship with? Two. (1 John 1:3)
How many Divine Beings will the unsaved hide away from? Two. (Rev 6:16)
How many Divine Beings give us grace and peace? Two. (Rom 1:7)
1 Corinthians 8:5-6 ... But to us there is but one God, the Father, .. one Lord Jesus Christ, [only two divine beings in the Godhead. One God the Father and Jesus Christ His Son].
How many beings does the Bible say we need to know to have eternal life? ... John 17:3 ...'And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.' ...
So to have eternal life we need to know two beings. The Father and His Son.
How many beings does the Bible say the 'counsel of peace' was between? ... Zechariah 6:13 ...'and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.' ... So the counsel of peace is between two beings.
How many beings do the apostles send greetings in the name of? ... Ephesians 1:2 ...'Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.' ... 2 John 1:3 ...'Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.' ... So the apostles sent greetings in the name of the Father and Son only. Two beings.
How many beings does the Bible say we need to deny to be 'antichrist'? ... 1 John 2:22 ...'Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.' ... To be an 'antichrist', we need to deny two beings - The Father and His Son.
How many beings did Jesus pray to while on earth according to the Bible? ... John 17:1 ...'These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee.' ... Jesus prayed to one being in heaven while He was on earth.
How many divine beings according to the Bible can be hated? ... John 15:23 ...'He that hateth me hateth my Father also.' ... Only two divine beings can be hated according to Jesus.
How many divine beings can reveal the Father and the Son according to the Bible? ... Luke 10:22 ...'All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him.' ... So only two divine beings can reveal the Father and Son - The Father and Son themselves!
How many divine beings are in heaven and will be on the new earth according to Revelation? ... Revelation 21:22-23 ...'And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it. And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.' ... Only two divine beings are in heaven and will be on the new earth according to Revelation (See also Revelation 7:10).
How many God's and Mediator's do we have according to the Bible? ... 1 Timothy 2:5 ...'For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.' ... So we have one God [the Father] and one Mediator [Jesus Christ], which makes two divine beings in the Godhead.
How many divine beings does the Bible say we need to honor? ... John 5:23 ...'That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.' ... We honor two divine beings, the Father and Son.
How many divine beings bare witness of Jesus Christ according to the Bible? ... John 8:18 ...'I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me.' ... Only two divine beings bare witness of Christ, not three.
How many divine beings does the Bible say created all things? ... Ephesians 3:9 ...'And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ.' ... So according to the Bible, only two divine beings created all things - God the Father and Jesus Christ His Son.
The Bible is very clear on how many literal divine beings there are in the 'family' of the Godhead. Two, and two alone.
The writings of E.G White and the pioneers most certainly compliments the Bible.
Example "The Son of God was next in authority to the great Lawgiver. He knew His Life alone could be sufficient to ransom fallen man." SOP, VOL.2, page 9.
"Satan in Heaven before his rebellion, was next in honor to God's dear Son." SOP, Vol. 1, p.17
"The only being who was one with God lived the law in humanity, descended to the lowly life of a common laborer, and toiled at the carpenter's bench with His earthly parent." ST. Oct. 14, 1897.
"The Father and Son alone are to be exalted. Y.I. July 7, 1893.
While there are three divine powers, there are only two literal beings. Thus, "The divine spirit that the world's redeemer promised to send, is the presence and power of God." ST. Nov. 23, 1891

Today no curious multitudes flock to the desert places to see and hear the Christ. His voice is not heard in the busy streets. No cry sounds from the wayside, “Jesus of Nazareth passeth by.” Luke 18:37. Yet this word is true today. Christ walks unseen through our streets. With messages of mercy He comes to our homes. With all who are seeking to minister in His name, He waits to co-operate. He is in the midst of us, to heal and to bless, if we will receive Him.

Many people assume that the Holy Spirit is a divine person like the Father and Christ based on references to the Spirit as “he,” “him” or “himself” in the New Testament. This confusion arises from two factors. The first is the use of gender inflected pronouns in the Greek language (a difficult concept to understand for those who speak only English).
And second is the bias on the part of some translators. In other words, if the translators have accepted the trinity doctrine as being true, then the translation performed by them will more than likely reflect their belief.
The grammatical gender for “Holy Spirit” actually varies according to the language used. The grammatical gender of the word “spirit” is masculine in Latin (spiritus) and Latin derived languages such as German (Geist). While in the Semitic languages such as Hebrew (רוח), Aramaic and its descendant Syriac, it is feminine. But in Greek it is neuter (πνεῦμα). If speakers of a particular language were to confuse grammatical gender with physical gender, they could think the Holy Spirit was a male or female or neither. Such confusion of course does not affect the real gender or lack of gender of the Holy Spirit. For example, as just seen, in the Hebrew language which the Old Testament was written, the word translated “spirit,” ruach, is referred to with feminine pronouns. But the Holy Spirit clearly is not a female or a woman.
Since the Greek word pneuma for spirit is grammatically neuter, then in the same language, the pronoun referring to the Holy Spirit under that name should also be grammatically neuter.
However, the Greek word parakletos, which is translated “Counselor,” “Helper,” “Comforter” and “Advocate” in John chapters 14 to 16 is a masculine word in Greek, and thus is referred to in these chapters by Greek pronouns equivalent to the English “he,” “him,” “his,” “himself,” “who” and “whom,” which are grammatically correct in Greek. But to translate these into English as “he,” “him,” etc., is actually grammatically incorrect.

For example, you would never translate a particular French sentence into English as “I'm looking for my book so I can read him.” While this grammatical construction makes sense in the French language, it is wrong in English. In the same way, to suppose on this basis that the Holy Spirit is a person to be referred to as “he” or “him” is incorrect. Only if the parakletos or helper were known to be a person could the use of a gender inflected pronoun justifiably be used in English. And the term parakletos certainly does refer to a person in 1 John 2:1 as it refers directly to Jesus Christ.
Many believe that the Comforter is the Holy Spirit as a literal being, and one of the reasons some assume this is because the pronoun “he” has been used since parakletos is masculine. But the Comforter is actually Christ coming to us through the Spirit, that is the Spirit of God, not a literal being. So using pronouns such as “he” or “him” for the Greek word parakletos, being a masculine word would be correct in the sense of physical gender, as Christ through the Spirit is our Comforter. But the grammatical gender “he” or “him” is still technically incorrect for English translations.
There is absolutely no theological or Biblical justification for referring to the term “Holy Spirit” with masculine pronouns, even in Greek. The Greek word pneuma, translated “spirit” (but also translated “wind” and “breath” in the New Testament) is always a grammatically neuter word. Thus in the Greek language, pronouns equivalent to the English “it,” “its,” “itself,” “which” or “that” should be used in referring to this word translated into English as “spirit.”
When the King James or Authorized Version was produced (early in the 1600s), the doctrine of the Trinity had already been accepted for more than 1,000 years. So naturally the translators of that version, influenced by that belief, usually chose personal rather than neutral pronouns when referring to the Holy Spirit in English.
However, this wasn't always the case. Notice that in some passages in the King James Version the translators did use the proper neuter pronouns. For example, Romans 8:16 KJV says, “The Spirit itself [not himself] beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.” And similarly, Romans 8:26 KJV says, “the Spirit itself [not himself] maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.” In these cases the translators correctly used neuter pronouns because the Greek word pneuma, translated “Spirit,” is neuter in gender.
Another example is Matthew 10:20 KJV where Jesus says, “For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which [not who] speaketh in you.” Another is 1 Peter 1:11 KJV which refers to “the Spirit of Christ which [not who] was in them.” The King James Version translators did use the proper neuter pronouns in these verses.
Regrettably, later English translators of the Bible have gone further than the King James translators in referring to the Holy Spirit with masculine rather than neuter pronouns. Thus the Holy Spirit is almost always referred to as “he” or “him” in the more modern versions. This reflects not linguistic accuracy, but the doctrinal bias or incorrect assumptions of Bible translators who wrongly believe the Holy Spirit is a person. So here is one more way that Satan tries to convince us of a lie.
Again and again the Scriptures depict the Holy Spirit as the divine manifestation and power of God. Furthermore, it is also shown to be the mind of God and the very essence and life force through which the Father begets human beings as His spiritual children. The Holy Spirit is not God, but is rather a vital aspect of God-the agency through which the Father and Christ both work.
In its article about the Holy Spirit, The Anchor Bible Dictionary describes it as the “manifestation of divine presence and power perceptible especially in prophetic inspiration” (Vol. 3, 1992, p. 260).
Repeatedly the Scriptures reveal that God imparted divine inspiration to His prophets and servants through the Holy Spirit. Peter noted that “prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit” (2 Peter 1:21).
Jesus told His followers that the Holy Spirit, which the Father would send, “will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you” (John 14:26). It is through God’s Spirit within us that we gain spiritual insight and understanding. Indeed, we come to receive the very “mind of Christ” (1 Corinthians 2:16)-also referred to as the “mind of the Spirit” (Romans 8:27).
Moreover, Paul’s standard greeting in his letter to the churches, as well as individuals to whom he wrote, consistently mentions “God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.” Yet in each of his greetings he never mentions the Holy Spirit! (The same can also be said of Peter in the salutations of both his epistles.) The same greeting, with only minor variations, appears in every epistle that bears Paul’s name.
Jesus Christ’s reference in John 16:7 to the Holy Spirit as a “Helper” (or “Counselor,” “Comforter” or “Advocate” as some versions translate it) is a personification that provides a good analogy of part of the Spirit’s function in the lives of true Christians. And as noted before, many passages show the Spirit as the power of God to help and assist us, not a distinct person as Trinitarians maintain.
Confronted with such scriptures, even the New Catholic Encyclopedia admits: “The OT [Old Testament] clearly does not envisage God’s spirit as a person . . . God’s spirit is simply God’s power. If it is sometimes represented as being distinct from God, it is because the breath of Yahweh acts exteriorly . . . The majority of NT [New Testament] texts reveal God’s spirit as some thing , not some one ; this is especially seen in the parallelism between the spirit and the power of God” (1965, Vol. 13, “Spirit of God,” pp. 574-576).
The reference work A Catholic Dictionary similarly acknowledges, “On the whole the New Testament, like the Old, speaks of the spirit as a divine energy or power” (William Addis and Thomas Arnold, 2004, “Trinity, Holy,” p. 827).
As even the New Catholic Encyclopedia, quoted from earlier, acknowledges: “The majority of New Testament texts reveal God’s spirit as something, not someone; this is especially seen in the parallelism between the spirit and the power of God. When a quasi-personal activity is ascribed to God’s spirit, e.g., speaking, hindering, desiring, dwelling (Acts 8:29; Acts 16:7; Romans 8:9), one is not justified in concluding immediately that in these passages God’s spirit is regarded as a Person; the same expressions are used also in regard to rhetorically personified things or abstract ideas . . . “In Acts, the use of the words ‘Holy Spirit,’ with or without an article, is rich and abundant. However, again, it is difficult to demonstrate personality from the texts” (2003, Vol. 13, “Spirit, Holy,” p. 428).
Is it possible that Satan has created a counterfeit holy spirit so as to receive worship and most of Christendom is unaware or is content to believe the lie?

@Shelly-Ann Lee The Father and Son are the only two divine Beings of the Godhead. The Holy Spirit is the spirit of the Father and of the Son. The Holy Spirit is not an individual like the Father or the Son. The Godhead does not carry any numerical value whatsoever.
Godhead definition according to Strongs Greek Lexicon: Divinity, Divine nature, Deity or the state of being God, Godhead.
If each of the three is fully God, then we have three God’s. And any attempt to make these three God’s into one God contradicts reason, logic and more importantly it contradicts scripture. The Trinity doctrine is unscriptural, and is most certainly tradition/church creed.
For Trinitarians find below just a few questions about the Holy Spirit (If you were to assume the Holy Spirit as a separate “divine Being” not unlike how Father and the Son are separate individual divine Beings):
      1. Is there one verse, anywhere in Scripture, where God speaks to and/or expresses His love for the Holy Spirit, as He often does to His only begotten Son?
      2. Is there one verse, anywhere in Scripture, where God's only begotten Son speaks to and/or expresses His love for the Holy Spirit, as He often does to His God and Father?
      3. Is there one verse, anywhere in Scripture, where the Holy Spirit speaks to and/or expresses His love for either God or the Son of God, as God and His Son often do towards one another?
      4. Is there one verse, anywhere in Scripture, where the Holy Spirit expresses His love toward us as does the Father and the Son?
      5. Is there one verse, anywhere in Scripture, where we are told that we will ever see and/or meet the Holy Spirit?
      6. Is there one verse, anywhere in Scripture, where the Holy Spirit is spoken of as sitting on a throne in heaven?
      7. Is there one verse, anywhere in Scripture, where “one divine being” (which trinity claims) is said to be three persons?
      8. Is there one verse, anywhere in Scripture, where we find any of these terms mentioned: trinity, triune or God the Holy Spirit?
      9. Why does the Scripture almost always mention the Holy Spirit as a possessive pronoun/noun, as in ‘His Spirit’, His Holy Spirit’, ‘Spirit OF God’ or ‘Spirit OF Christ’?
      10. According to Matthew 1:20, we read, “fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.”
Question: If the Holy Spirit is a separate being as the trinity doctrine claims, then how is it that, Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit and yet Christ continually prayed to and addressed God the Father, not the Holy Spirit, as His father (Matthew 10:32-33; Matthew 11:25-27; Matthew 12:50; Matthew 15:13; Matthew 16:17; Matthew 16:27; Matthew 18:10; Matthew 18:35). Never did Christ refer to the Holy Spirit as His father.
      11. Galatians 4:4-6 says, “But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, to redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. And because ye are sons, GOD HATH SENT FORTH THE SPIRIT OF HIS SON INTO YOUR HEARTS, CRYING, ABBA, FATHER.”
Question: If the Holy Spirit is another deity other than Christ’s own spirit, then why would he call God the Father “Abba”? Are there two sons in the Godhead?
      12. Speaking of Jesus' Second Coming, Matthew 24:36 (and Mark 13:32) tells us, “No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but ONLY THE FATHER.” When asked, "If Jesus was God (being omniscient), why did He not know when He would return? A Trinitarian may answer, “When Christ became a man, He voluntarily restricted the use of certain divine attributes… His omniscience, omnipresence, etc.”

@Shelly-Ann Lee The Bible refers to the Holy Spirit as a “gift” that God will “pour out” on people
If the Holy Spirit is a person, why is the Holy Spirit not included when Paul, Peter and John sent greetings to the churches? Why is the Trinity doctrine not taught in the Bible?
Personal identity is the unique identity of persons through time. That is to say, the necessary and sufficient conditions under which a person at one time and a person at another time can be said to be the same person, persisting through time. In the modern philosophy of mind, this concept of personal identity is sometimes referred to as the diachronic problem of personal identity. The synchronic problem is grounded in the question of what features or traits characterize a given person at one time….
The word, “person” has had different meanings over the course of time. The New World Encyclopedia notes, “Tertullian started to use the expression of ‘three persons’ (tres personae in Latin). The Latin word persona in the days of Tertullian never meant a self-conscious individual person, which is what is usually meant by the modern English word ‘person.’ In those days, it only meant legal ownership or a mask used at the theater. Thus three distinct persons are still of one substance (una substantia in Latin). It was in this context that Tertullian also used the word trinitas” (key word “Trinity”). In the Trinity doctrine, a “person” is like a personality or “mask.”
This concept was applied later to the Holy Ghost, the angels and to all human beings.
Since then, a number of important changes to the word's meaning and use have taken place, and attempts have been made to redefine the word with varying degrees of adoption and influence.
Additionally, “the word Trinity is not found in the Bible, and though used by Tertullian in the last decade of the 2nd century, it did not find a place formally in the theology of the church till the 4th century” (New Bible Dictionary, 1982, “Trinity”).
The doctrine of the Trinity developed over the centuries as a human attempt to explain the nature of God. But what does the true source of all right doctrine tell us about the nature of the Holy Spirit?
The Doctrine of the Trinity Christianity's Self-Inflicted Wound 1994 Anthony F. Buzzard Charles F. Hunting. "Those Trinitarians who believe that the concept of a Triune God was such an established fact that it was not considered important enough to mention at the time the New Testament was written should be challenged by the remarks of another writer, Harold Brown:"
"It is a simple fact and an undeniable historical fact that several major doctrines that now seem central to the Christian Faith - such as the doctrine of the Trinity and the doctrine of the nature of Christ - were not present in a full and self-defined generally accepted form until the fourth and fifth centuries. If they are essential today - as all of the orthodox creeds and confessions assert - it must be because they are true. If they are true, then they must always have been true; they cannot have become true in the fourth and fifth century. But if they are both true and essential, how can it be that the early church took centuries to formulate them?"
As we study the Scriptures, you will see that the Holy Spirit of God is the divine manifestation and power of God and is not (as erroneously taught and believed by many) a person-a member of a “Trinity.” The Holy Spirit is the powerful means by which the two members of the Godhead revealed in the Bible-God the Father and Jesus Christ, the Son of God-project Their will, Their influence, Their nature and Their creative power throughout the universe, including affecting the minds of human beings.
Jesus told His disciples that they would be filled with power-spiritual power-when they received the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:8). On the Day of Pentecost God sent His Spirit accompanied by manifestations of great power that included a sound “as of a rushing mighty wind” (Acts 2:1-3). The apostle Paul was inspired to explain that Christians have been given this Spirit, and that it is not “a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7). The effect of the power of the Holy Spirit in a Christian is to impart and develop a new nature, the divine nature, in his or her life-making of the Christian a “new creation” in the image of Christ’s character (2 Peter 1:3-4; 2 Corinthians 5:17).
The Bible refers to the Holy Spirit as a “gift” that God will “pour out” on people (Acts 2:38; Acts 2:17). This is language appropriate to use in describing a thing, rather than a person. However, these analogies do not of and by themselves prove or disprove that the Holy Spirit is not a person. The proof comes from many other scriptures in the Bible.
While both the Father and Christ are worshipped as the two eternal Beings of the Godhead (John 4:23-24; John 20:28; Hebrews 1:6), there is no instance in the Bible of the Holy Spirit being worshipped. This is appropriate, since the Holy Spirit is not a person, but the power of the two Beings: God the Father and Jesus Christ, the Son of God. They share a common Spirit and nature (Ephesians 4:4; John 10:30).
If the Holy Spirit were a person, the apostle Paul certainly disrespected and snubbed “Him” by omitting the Holy Spirit in his typical greetings to the churches. He mentions the Father and the Son (Jesus Christ) in his greetings but consistently omits the Holy Spirit (Romans 1:7; 1 Corinthians 1:3; 2 Corinthians 1:2; Galatians 1:3; Ephesians 1:2; Philippians 1:2; Colossians 1:2; 1 Thessalonians 1:1; 2 Thessalonians 1:1-2; 1 Timothy 1:1-2; 2 Timothy 1:2; Titus 1:4; Philemon 1:3). The apostles Peter and John also greeted the brethren in some of their epistles in the name of God the Father and Jesus Christ, similarly not mentioning the Holy Spirit-quite a disrespectful snub if the Holy Spirit is also a person (2 Peter 1:2; 2 John 1:3).
Here’s another puzzle for someone who believes the Spirit is a person. Jesus prayed to the Father (John 17:1), but His mother Mary was pregnant with Him as a result of the Holy Spirit: “She was found with child of the Holy Spirit” (Matthew 1:18). That would make the Holy Spirit the “father” of Jesus, if the Holy Spirit were a person. This potential confusion of understanding is quite easily avoided by realizing that the Bible teaches that the Holy Spirit is not a person but the power by which the Father gave human life to Jesus in the womb of Mary.
There are instances in English translations of the Bible where the pronouns “He” and “His” are used to refer to the Holy Spirit, but this is a matter of grammar and translation, not of biblical teaching. In many languages, such as Spanish and Greek, nouns have gender. They are grammatically either feminine or masculine or neuter, whether or not they refer to living things that are female or male.
For example, in Spanish, a door is la puerta. In the Spanish language, this is a “feminine” noun, and it is appropriate to refer to a door by the use of a feminine pronoun (ella, which is equivalent to the English pronoun she). But in English translation, door is grammatically referred to as “it,” since a door is not a female or male person, but a thing.
A similar situation exists in the Greek language-the language in which the New Testament was originally written. Jesus refers to the Holy Spirit as parakletos (a “comforter” because the power of God has a comforting and encouraging effect in the minds and lives of those who receive it). In the Greek language parakletos is a masculine noun. Therefore, in Greek, a masculine pronoun is appropriate in referring to parakletos.
The translators of the King James Bible carried this grammatical arrangement over into the English in a number of places, such as John 14:16. Thus, in the English translation, the Holy Spirit is referred to as “He.” However, this is no more evidence that the Holy Spirit is a person than the use, in Spanish, of the feminine pronoun ella (she) to refer to a door is evidence that a door is a female person. Again, these are matters of grammar and translation, not of biblical theology.

      @Shelly-Ann Lee PART 1 OF 2
The Bible mentions several types of spirits. We find “evil spirit,” “dumb spirit,” “unclean spirit,” “foul spirit,” “humble spirit,” “excellent spirit,” “good spirit,” “broken spirit,” “wounded spirit,” “faithful spirit,” and “haughty spirit” etc. All these spirits are distinguishable by the adjective that describes them such as good, foul and humble etc. We know that God the Father has a spirit (Matthew 10:20) and His Spirit of course could be nothing other than Holy. The word “Holy” is also an adjective be it in English or Greek. So “Holy Spirit” is not a name but a description of God's Spirit.
A persons spirit is their mind, will and emotions. It is who you are. So a spirit cannot be a literal person in itself. If it were, it would cease to be a spirit. For instance, in order for a spirit to be another person, it would also have to have its own spirit. In other words, for the Holy Spirit to be a person, it would have to have its own spirit in order to have its own mind, will and emotions.
The book of Job says, “there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding.” Job 32:8. A spirit is the part of a person that can be grieved. Daniel explains, “I Daniel was grieved in my spirit in the midst of my body,” Daniel 7:15. A spirit is the part of a person that can perceive or understand things. In Mark's gospel we read, “And immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said unto them, Why reason you these things in your hearts?” Mark 2:8. A spirit is the part of a person that can be troubled. The king of Babylon had a dream and he told his wise men, “I have dreamed a dream, and my spirit was troubled to know the dream.” Daniel 2:3. So we find that our spirit is our mind, will and emotions. This does not make our spirit another person.
God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ have different names and titles in the Bible because they are personal beings. If the Holy Spirit is a personal being co-equal with the Father and Son as the trinity doctrine teaches, then why doesn't it have a personal name also? The “Spirit” is not a name, it is what it is. “Holy” is just the adjective that describes God's Spirit, and other terms such as the “Spirit of God” is not a name either but what it is. It is the Spirit of God. It is also called the “Spirit of your Father” which once again is just what it is. So if the Holy Spirit was truly a personal being then why no personal name?
Since your Spirit is your mind, will and emotions, the Greek and Hebrew word for “Spirit” also means “mind” as you would expect. Strong's dictionary says, breath, figuratively life, spirit, (including its expression and functions), mind.
Paul in Romans 11:34 is quoting Isaiah 40:13. So we know that Paul understood the Spirit of the Lord to also mean the mind of the Lord. And of course the mind of someone is not a different person to them any more than their spirit is and this also includes God as Paul reveals below. Aagain we find that your spirit is your mind, will and emotions for not only people but God also. The Greek word “pneuma” and equivalent Hebrew word “rûach” are also interchangeably translated as “spirit” or “mind” in various translations and “rûach” is translated as “mind” in the KJV Bible six times.
“Who has known the mind of the Lord? And who has been His counselor, to instruct Him?” Isaiah 40:13 Septuagint. “Who has directed the Spirit of the LORD, or being his counsellor has taught him?” Isaiah 40:13 KJV. “For who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counsellor?” Romans 11:34 KJV. We clearly can see that the mind of the Lord NOT another being.
Would you believe it if someone said that a person's spirit is another literal being? After all, a person's spirit can be troubled, Daniel 2:3 “...my spirit was troubled...” And a person's spirit can be grieved, Daniel 7:15 “I Daniel was grieved in my spirit...” And a person's spirit can speak and pray, 1 Corinthians 14:14 “...my spirit prayeth...” And a person's spirit can rejoice, Luke 1:47 “my spirit has rejoiced...” And a person's spirit can be received by the Lord, Acts 7:59 “...Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.” A person's spirit can also serve, Romans 1:9 “...I serve with my spirit...” And a person's spirit can also rest, 2 Corinthians 2:13 “I had no rest in my spirit...” So we find that a person's spirit has a mind, will and emotions. Therefore, a person's spirit must be another literal being. Right now you are probably thinking I have lost my mind, and yet this is exactly the same logic that is used to imply that the Holy Spirit is another literal being.
Someone will respond, “But it is different with God's Spirit.” Not so. Not only does the Bible reveal it is not different but in fact says it is exactly the same with only one exception. Our Spirit is within us but God can send His Spirit anywhere. If the Bible does not say the Holy Spirit is a literal being, then let's not assume it to say something it does not say. So let's honour God and trust what His Word does say instead of assuming or believing our adversaries lies.
And as we have seen in Scripture, God and His Son and all living beings have a spirit which is what gives us all a unique personality with our own mind, will and emotions. So for the “Spirit of God” to be a “literal being” as it is erroneously believed today, then the “Spirit of God” would have to have its “own spirit” and one that is also distinct from the Father and Son. But then we are forced into the belief of the “spirit of the Spirit,” and if the Holy Spirit did not have a spirit of its own as per this belief, then it could not have a separate personality and hence its own mind, will and emotions anyway.
The spirit of every living being has a personality because our spirit is in fact our personality. So the Holy Spirit has a personality because God has a personality. In giving us His Spirit God gives us Himself. It is not another being and it is not some impersonal force. It is the divine manifestation and power of God Himself. It is God's own Spirit having God's own personality. If I could give you my spirit, whose personality would you have? Mine. So God's Spirit has God's personality. The same applies to the fact that the Spirit is divine because God is a divine being. Remember that God is a spirit and yet He is a personal being. “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” John 4:24
Notice how Paul compares the spirit of man with the Spirit of God putting the final nail in the coffin of this lie. And of course your thoughts come from your mind and hence are the result of your mind, will and emotions.
“For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the man's spirit within him? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.” 1 Corinthians 2:11

      PART 2 OF 2
Here the spirit of man is likened to the Spirit of God. Just as a man has a spirit, God also has a Spirit in the same manner, and His Spirit is the part of Him associated with His thoughts and emotions the same as a man. Ephesians 4:30 says the Holy Spirit is “the holy Spirit of God” and to grieve not His Spirit. So just as the spirit of man can be grieved so can God's. If I told you that I was grieving in my spirit, would you think my spirit was a separate person? Of cause not. And Paul stated it is no different with God and His Spirit in this respect. God's Spirit belongs to God, just as my spirit belongs to me. So as Paul said, the Spirit of God knows the thoughts of God because it is His Holy Spirit and hence has His mind, will and emotions just like man. And of course Paul also revealed in Romans 11:34 given above that the mind and spirit are correlated. He further shows this relationship in Ephesians 4:23 where he said “be renewed in the spirit of your mind.” This is Biblical exegesis but to say the Holy Spirit has mind, will and emotions so therefore must be a literal and separate being is an unbiblical assumption and eisegesis. Paul in 1 Corinthians 2:11 shows the difference is that man's spirit is within him but does not say this about God's Spirit as God can send His Spirit anywhere. There is also no Scripture that says the Holy Spirit is God.
Notice these examples of how “Holy Spirit” is used in the Bible. Matthew 3:16 “and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:” And in the parallel verse of Luke 3:22 “And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him,” So these parallel verses show that the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God.
And for a clearer example. Luke 12:11-12 says, “take you no thought how or what thing you shall answer, or what you shall say: For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what you ought to say.” Note the same account from Matthew and what he called the Holy Spirit. “take no thought how or what you shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what you shall speak. For it is not you that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.” Matthew 10:19-20. Matthew called the Holy Spirit “the Spirit of your Father,” and so is not another being but God's Spirit, and why it is called the Spirit of God. It is not called God the Spirit. His Spirit of course is Holy and why it is also called the Holy Spirit.
This is why the Holy Spirit has all the characteristics of the Father because it is His Spirit. Whose Spirit was Jesus anointed with at His baptism? “And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:” Matthew 3:16. By the power of whose Spirit did Jesus cast out demons? “But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.” Matthew 12:28. The Apostles did many miracles by the power of whose Spirit just as Jesus did? “Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.” Romans 15:19. This unmistakable verse says the Holy Spirit is God's Spirit. “Therefore he who rejects this does not reject man, but God who has also given us His Holy Spirit.” 1 Thessalonians 4:8. Whose Spirit is it that dwells in us? Is it another person or God Himself through His Spirit? “Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit.” 1 John 4:13. There are more than twenty five verses that reveal this simple truth. Here is one more. “And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby you are sealed unto the day of redemption.” Ephesians 4:30
While Scripture uses the term “Spirit Of God,” it never uses the term “God the Spirit” as its meaning is incorrect. The rules of grammar tell us that the phrase “God the Spirit” means it is a Spirit that is a God, while the “Spirit Of God” means this is the Spirit that belongs to God. As you can see, they have different meanings and only one can be correct. Only the one that is found in the Bible is correct. The other came from the Roman Catholic Church. Phrases like “God the Spirit” or “God the Holy Spirit” are Catholic Trinitarian terms that resulted from Satan through man in 381 AD turning the Spirit of God into God the Spirit. Why? So Satan could step into his creation and receive worship as a deity just as he always desired. Hence these Catholic terms were made up to match the doctrine they created and never occur in Scripture as they are literally wrong. So why does the Bible never use the phrase “God the Spirit?” Because God's Spirit is not another God. It uses “Spirit Of God” because the Holy Spirit is God's own Spirit. It is not a difficult concept. No sincere Christian should ever be caught using unbiblical terms like “God the Spirit” as you would be following in the footsteps of antichrist. Terms such as “God's Spirit,” the “Spirit of God,” the “Spirit of Christ,” “My Spirit,” “His Spirit,” and the “Holy Spirit” are used to name just a few. Also, the Scriptures never tell us to “pray to” or “worship” the Spirit. Why would the Bible neglect that if the Holy Spirit was a co-equal God of a trinity? We are told to pray “for” the Spirit, but never “to” the Spirit.
It is also worth noting that in the Old Testament that the phrase “Holy Spirit” is used 3 times, “Spirit of God” 14 times and “Spirit of the Lord” 26 times. All these phrases are synonymous and not one of these 43 verses implies the Holy Spirit is God or an actual separate being but simply the Holy Spirit of God. Jewish scholars examining the references to the Holy Spirit in the Old Testament Scriptures have never defined the Holy Spirit as anything but the presence and power of God.

What is the reason why you are trying to convince others that the Holy Spirit is not what the scriptures teach?
Please understand that it was the Holy Spirit that inspired the writing of these scriptures.

Even though this declaration settles a Trinity God for you the apostles obviously didn't get the memo.
      For some examples see:
      Acts 2:38
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins....
      Acts 8:16
.....: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
      Acts 8:37,38
And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
38 And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.
      Acts 10:48
And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.
      Acts 19:5
When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

As fundamental errors, we might class with this counterfeit sabbath other errors which
Protestants have brought away from the Catholic church, such as sprinkling for baptism, *THE TRINITY, the consciousness of the dead and eternal life in misery. The mass who have held these
fundamental errors, have doubtless done it ignorantly; but can it be supposed that the church
of Christ will carry along with her these errors till the judgment scenes burst upon the world?
We think not. "Here are they [in the period of a message given just before the Son of man takes
his place upon the white cloud, Rev.xiv,14] that keep the commandments of God and the faith
of Jesus." This class, who live just prior to the second advent, will not be keeping the traditions
of men, neither will they be holding fundamental errors relative to the plan of salvation through
Jesus Christ. And as the true light shines out upon these subjects, and is rejected by the mass,
then condemnation will come upon them. When the true Sabbath is set before men, and the
claims of the fourth commandment are urged upon them, and they reject this holy institution
of the God of heaven, and choose in its place an institution of the beast, it can then be said, in
the fullest sense, that such worship the beast. The warning message of the third angel is given
in reference to that period, when the mark of the beast will be received, instead of the seal of
the living God. Solemn dreadful, swiftly-approaching hour! {September 12, 1854 JWe, ARSH

Regarding the Scriptures that does not speak of the Holy Spirit as a person [as we would normally think of a person to be], take for example something that Jesus did shortly after His resurrection.
After showing His disciples the nail marks in His hands and feet, also after saying to them “Peace be unto you”, He “ … breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost” John 20:22
Remember this happened after the resurrection but prior to the ascension. The Holy Spirit was not yet fully manifested; for Christ had not yet been glorified.
Anyone who is being honest could never say that Jesus breathed on His disciples a person as we normally perceive a person to be - a person like Himself and His Father [or like you and me].
In the Bible, the Father and the Son are sometimes described as sitting upon a throne [see Psalm 47:8, Hebrews 12:2, Revelation 3:21, 12:5 etc] but the Holy Spirit is never depicted as doing so. Why not, if He is a person like God and Christ?
In the Bible, neither God nor Jesus are ever seen expressing their love for the Holy Spirit although they are seen expressing their love for each other [see John 10:17. John 14:31, John 15:9-10]. Neither is it shown where the Holy Spirit expresses His love for the Father and the Son. Why not, if He is a person like God and Christ?
The Bible never says that the Holy Spirit loves fallen humanity although it does tell us that both the Father and the Son love us [see John 3:16, 14:21, 15:9, Romans 5:7-8, Romans 8:39, 1 John 3:1 etc]. Never are we told to love the Holy Spirit but we are called to love the Father and the Son [see Deuteronomy 6:5, Joshua 23:11. Matthew 22:37, John 14:21, 14:23]. If the Holy Spirit is a person just like God and Christ are both individual persons, why are we not encouraged to love Him - also why doesn’t the Bible say that He loves us?
We also read in the Scriptures of the sacrifice made by the Father and Son [see John 3:16, Ephesians 5:2, Hebrews 10:12, 1 John 3:16, 1 John 4:9-10] but never is the Holy Spirit depicted as making a sacrifice. Why not, if He is a person like God and Christ?
There is also something else very important to consider here. This is that we are never told to pray to the Holy Spirit but we are told to pray for His presence. Jesus did not direct His prayers to the Holy Spirit or talk to Him - neither are we told to speak or pray to the Holy Spirit. Why not, if He is a person like God and Christ?
The Holy Spirit is both God and Christ omnipresent whilst they (God and Christ) are bodily in Heaven.
Shortly before the crucifixion, Jesus was explaining to His disciples that although He was going away He would not leave them comfortless.
During this conversation, Philip said to Him “Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us” [see John 14:8]. Jesus replied by saying “…. Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.” John 14:9-11. Shortly after this Jesus said “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.” John 14:16-17
Jesus then said “I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.” John 14:18
It is very plain to see that when Jesus said the “Comforter” is coming He said that it was Himself that would come. Obviously though, this was not in bodily form because bodily He was in Heaven with His Father [Acts 2:39, 7:56, Hebrews 8:1, 12:2]. The Scriptures also tell us that bodily He will return to earth [Matthew 26:64, Acts 1:10-11, 1 Thessalonians 4:17, Revelation 1:7 etc]. There is a difference therefore in Jesus coming as the Comforter and Jesus coming bodily.
At the last supper, Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him “Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?” [See John 14:22]
Jesus replied “If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.” [See John 14:23]
From what Jesus said here to His disciples, it is very evident that when the Comforter came it would be both God and Christ that came [“we will come unto him”] yet not bodily. This is because bodily, both God the Father and Christ would both still be in heaven. This is the very reason why the early Seventh-day Adventists believed that the Holy Spirit was not another person with individuality like God and Christ but was both of them [God and Christ] omnipresent. In other words, the Holy Spirit was said to be the Spirit of both God and Christ.
One final thought to consider here. This is that in the book of Revelation, when referring to the time period after the saints have been delivered from earth, John was shown scenes of Heaven.
He wrote: “And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:” Revelation 22:1-3
He also wrote: “And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.” Revelation 21:22
Again there is no mention of the Holy Spirit. Why not if He is a person like God and Christ [like “the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb”]?
It concludes in the last chapter of the book “And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:” Revelation 22:3
From reasoning the above Scriptures, it can only be concluded that in a nature that we cannot understand, the Holy Spirit is a person but it could never be concluded that He is a person like God and Christ [or like you and I] are persons.
“The nature of the Holy Spirit is a mystery. Men cannot explain it, because the Lord has not revealed it to them.” (Ellen G. White, ‘Acts of the Apostles’ page 52, 1911)

“While no single scriptural passage states formally the doctrine of the Trinity, it is assumed as a fact by Bible writers and mentioned several times”. (Review and Herald, Special issue, Volume 158, No. 31 July 1981, ‘The Trinity)
“Only by faith can we accept the existence of the Trinity.” (Review and Herald, Special issue, Volume 158, No. 31 July 1981, ‘The Trinity)
“The doctrine of the Trinity is not primarily a speculative doctrine. It is a speculative construction of materials provided by revelation and Christian experience. The definition has stood the test of time, mainly because it is believed that the Church was divinely guided in framing it.” (H. Maldwyn Hughes, M. A., D. D. Christian foundations, An introduction to Christian doctrine, page 141, fourth edition, July 1933)
“"Trinity" is not a Bible word, nor is any theological definition of it given in Scripture.” (Harry W. Lowe, Australasian Record, June 15th 1959, Sabbath School lesson help, ‘God's transcendent and mysterious nature’)
“It is only when men speculate outside of the Bible and beyond it, and seek to be wiser than they can be, that difficulties arise; and then they do arise as the rebuke of their own folly.” (Samuel T. Spear, D. D., published in the New York Independent on November 14th 1889 as ‘The Subordination of Christ’ and by the Pacific Press in 1892 as ‘The Bible Doctrine of the Trinity’. The latter was in pamphlet form as a tract and included in the Seventh-day Adventist Bible Students Library)

@Shelly-Ann Lee The word “Trinity” originated from Tertullian around 200 AD who did not even state the immanent trinity as known today, the 3 in 1 god came from Athanasius in 325 AD, and the idea of the Holy Spirit as a third being came from three Cappadocians in 381 AD. Hence the word “Trinity” and this doctrine cannot be found anywhere in the Scriptures. It was patched together by Catholic theologians hundreds of years after the death of the apostles and long after the completion of the Bible. Instead, Trinitarianism comes from the allegorical ideas of the Alexandrines and is a mixture of Greek and Roman philosophies that are loosely based on a handful of Bible verses snatched out of context or interpolated into the text.
Thus the Trinity is a manmade doctrine that borrows heavily from paganism and Greek philosophy and was developed long after the Scriptures were completed. Therefore, this doctrine could never have come from Scripture anyway and has to be taught alongside the Bible. And so if you had never heard of it, you would never come up with it yourself from just reading the Bible alone. As a result, you will also find that eisegesis has to be used to convince others of this doctrine.
The fact is there is no relationship with the Trinity and the word Godhead at all. Godhead refers to God the Father.
Godhead is often a word used by those with the non-Trinitarian truth for lack of a better word to use in opposition to the word Trinity.
Trinitarians are also using the word Godhead in place of Trinity. But calling the Trinity by another name will never change what it is. You can call the Trinity the Godhead but it will still be the Trinity.
The word Godhead is found in 3 verses in the King James Bible which are translated from three different Greek words that have slightly different meanings but all basically mean the same thing.
In Acts 17:29 the Greek word θεῖος translated Godhead is “theios” (Strong's Number G2304 ) and means to be godlike and hence divine.
Acts 17:29 KJV “Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device.”
The same Greek word is used in the verse below but has been translated to the word “divine.”
[Acts 17:29 : ESV & NIV = THE DIVINE BEING ; Darby = that which is divine; Douay-Rheims = the divinity; NASB = the Divine Nature; NET Bible = the Deity
2 Peter 1:3 KJV “According as his divine power has given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that has called us to glory and virtue:” [See also v4]
In Romans 1:20 the Greek θειότης word translated Godhead is “theiotēs” (Strong’s Number G2305) and refers to the divine nature.
Romans 1:20 KJV “For the invisible things of him [singular; meaning one being] from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his [referring to one being] eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:”
Paul is referring to one being “Him” and “His”. He is NOT referencing THREE beings at all. Creation testifies to the power and Godhood of its maker. It is speaking of the nature and attributes and majesty of God. The SDA Bible Commentary Vol. 6, p.478 on Romans 1:20 says “The apostles here speaks of the divine essence and the manifestation of the divine attributes, NOT OF THE TRINITY AS SUCH”
And in Colossians 2:9 the Greek word θεότης translated Godhead is “theotēs” (Strong’s Number G2320) and means deity as in the state of being God.
Colossians 2:9 KJV “For in Him [Jesus] dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.”
The word Godhead speaks of the “Divine nature” of the Father which has been given to the Son and hence is in the Son as we find in Colossians 2:9 above. Thus Jesus being the firstborn over all creation (Colossians 1:15), and being brought forth from the Father, He has the same “Divine nature” as His Father.
The Greek word used here means essence, and nature of the divine, the very nature of God; divinity resides completely in Christ, in other words Jesus is fully divine, just like His Father is Divine.
Amplified versioin: For in Him the whole fullness of Deity (the Godhead), continues to dwell in bodily form - giving complete expression of the divine nature.
Christ possesses the fullness of Godhood: The Godhead is really none other than God the Father, He is the source of life and the Father of all.
Ephesians 4:6 “One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.”
He is also the head of all, including His Son. 1 Corinthians 11:3 “The head of Christ is God”
God the Father is the God; and head of all. This helps us understand why all the fullness of God the Father, the Godhead dwells in Christ, notice why: Colossians 1:19. KJV “For it pleased the father that in Him [Christ] should all fullness dwell.”
Spirit of Prophecy is also very clear which says. “The Father is all the fullness of the Godhead bodily, and is invisible to mortal sight.” - (E.G. White, BTS, March 1, 1906)
And so Christ being the Son receives this fullness, “He [Christ] was not the Father but in him dwelt all the fullness of the Godhead bodily,” - (E.G. White, Lt8a, July 7, 1890)
John 5:26 also tells us that the Father gave life to His Son. “For as the Father has life in himself; so has he given to the Son to have life in himself.” John 5:26. If Jesus had always existed alongside the Father as the Trinity doctrine claims, then God could not have given life to His Son as He would have always had life. But Scripture reveals this is impossible.
So neither does the word Godhead explain the non-Trinitarian position in opposition to the word Trinity. It has been the only real option in lack of a better word to use for the non-Trinitarian view.
The Trinity doctrine states that there are three co-equal (equal in every respect), co-eternal (the same age), omniscient (all knowing), omnipotent (all powerful) gods, who are not three gods, but one god.
By the words of the Athanasian Creed it is, “the Father is God, the Son is God, and the Holy Spirit is God, and yet there are not three gods but one God.” In other words. 1+1+1=1
So a 3 in 1 and 1 in 3 god which means the Father cannot really be a Father and the Son cannot really be a Son, which denies the Father and Son which the apostle John called antichrist. And hence the Holy Spirit is supposedly a third god that makes up the one god rather than being the actual Spirit of the Father and Son just as we have a spirit.
So the Divine nature of the Father referring to the ONE true God does not and cannot equal 3 gods yet alone a 3 in 1 god.
Godhead does NOT equal Trinity in any way whatsoever. Godhead refers to God the Father and His Divine nature which dwells in His Son because Christ is His Son.
1 John 5:9 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son. 10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.
So which is greater: The testimony of men or the testimony of God? Which testified of what? How could we possibly make God a liar? Failing to acknowledge the Son.
The Catholic Church says, “The mystery of the trinity is the central doctrine of the Catholic faith. Upon it are based all the other teachings of the church.” - (Handbook for Today's Catholic, p. 11)
Sabbath keepers constantly remind their Protestant friends that there is no Scriptural basis for Sunday keeping and even read quotations from the Roman Catholic Church to show they agree with you.
Just read Rome’s Challenge to Protestants. Well the Catholic Church also has something to say about the Trinity.
“Our opponents [Protestants] sometimes claim that no belief should be held dogmatically which is not explicitly stated in Scripture (ignoring that it is only on the authority of the Church we recognize certain Gospels and not others as true). But the Protestant churches have themselves accepted such dogmas as the Trinity for which there is no such precise authority in the Gospels... it is our claim that Tradition alone - founded on the Apostles' teaching, analyzed and reflected on through the ages by the Church, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit promised by Christ - illumines the full and true meaning of the Scriptures.” (The Catholic Church's New Dogma: The Assumption Of Mary By Graham Green, LIFE, Oct.30, 1950, (emphasis in [brackets] supplied).

      @Shelly-Ann Lee Part 2 of 2
"There is no comforter like Christ, so tender and so true. He is touched with the feeling of our infirmities. His Spirit speaks to the heart." (E.White, Review and Herald, Oct.26, 1897)
"Let them study the seventeenth of John, and learn how to pray and how to live the prayer of Christ. He is the Comforter. He will abide in their hearts, making their joy full." (Ellen G. White, Review and Herald, January 27, 1903)
"While Jesus ministers in the sanctuary above, He is still by His Spirit the minister of the church on earth. He is withdrawn from the eye of sense, but His parting promise is fulfilled, 'Lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world'." (E.White, Desire of Ages, p.166)
"Christ tells us that the Holy Spirit is the Comforter, and the Comforter is the Holy Ghost, 'the Spirit of truth, which the Father shall send in My name.' 'I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you for ever; even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth Him not, neither knoweth Him: but ye know Him, for He dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.' [John 14:16, 17]. This refers to the omnipresence of the Spirit of Christ, called the Comforter." (E.White, Manuscript Releases 14, p.179)
So when Ellen White says "the Holy Spirit is a person" and "The Holy Spirit has a personality, else He could not bear witness to our spirits." (MR, vol.20, par.68). She is clearly talking about the divine Spirit person of Christ, as we have clearly shown above. She also said ... "we need to realize that the Holy Spirit, who is as much a person as God is a person, is walking through these grounds." (MR, vol.7, par.299). Well, who is the one 'walking this earth with us'?
"CHRIST WALKS UNSEEN through our streets. With messages of mercy He comes to our homes." (Ellen G. White, The Ministry of Healing, p. 107)
"How few realize that JESUS, UNSEEN, is WALKING by their side! How ashamed many would be to hear His voice speaking to them, and to know that He heard all their foolish, common talk!" (Ellen G. White, 14 MR 125.3)
Who is the 'Holy Spirit PERSON' who is 'walking by our side'? It is the Spirit of Jesus Christ! Who is it that gives us light and teaches us God's truth? It is Jesus, look:
"Those who were bowed before the throne would offer up their prayers and look to Jesus; then He would look to His Father, and appear to be pleading with Him. A light would come from the Father to the Son and from the Son to the praying company. Then I saw an exceeding bright light come from the Father to the Son, and from the Son it waved over the people before the throne." (E.White, Early Writings, p.55)
There is no 'third being' involved. This light and power of the Holy Spirit comes from God the Father to His Son Jesus, and then FROM JESUS DIRECTLY TO US, by His own Spirit. This is biblical fact.
Does it really matter whether I believe the Holy Spirit is Christ or another being'? And the short answer to that is a resounding YES. It does matter. Satan is trying to remove Christ from the minds and lives of God's people, so that they never gain the victory over sin. Look at what Ellen White said.
Speaking of Satan, Ellen White says ... "He has sought to shut Jesus from their view as the Comforter, as one who reproves, who warns, who admonishes them, saying, 'This is the way, walk ye in it." (E.White, RH, August 26, 1890)
You see, Christ is the only one who lived perfectly as a human and knows what it takes to gain victory over every temptation and sin. So if Satan can remove Christ from our view as being our Comforter, then he can remove the ONLY power that can overcome sin in us. If we keep Christ in heaven in our minds and replace Him with 'another' who has never lived as a human, then this will weaken our walk. And this is exactly why the majority of professed Christians are still living in sin. Because they have allowed Satan to remove Christ from their view as the Comforter. The Spirit of Christ is waiting to empower us and help us live victorious lives. But if we turn from Christ's Spirit and look to 'another', then we will never receive the full power of God's Spirit and never be able to replicate the character of Christ in our lives.
This is very important . It is Christ who 'dwells in our hearts' (Ephesians 3:17). It is Christ who lives in us (Galatians 2:20). It is Christ in us, that 'Spirit' which gives us life (Romans 8:10-11). And as Paul confirmed in Galatians 4:6, God was to send the Spirit of HIS SON to us, not some other third being. Which is why Paul also said in 2 Corinthians 3:17, that the LORD [Christ] is that Spirit.
Romans 8:9 ...'But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.'
Seek the truth and turn away from this false god called 'the trinity'. It's no wonder that the churches today have no power, when they are turning away from the only power that can give help us 'do all things' (Philippians 4:13), and replacing the Spirit of Christ with 'another'. Satan has always sought to take Christ's place, and he is doing just that in the hearts and minds of many of God's people today.
Even occultist Blavatsky will tell toy that the Trinity doctrine in unbiblical.
Who can ever fathom the paradoxical depths of the Semitic mind? And this paradoxical element, minus its innermost significance, has now passed entirely into Christian theology and dogma! Whether the early Fathers of the Church knew the esoteric meaning of the Hebrew (Old) Testament, or whether only a few of them were aware of it, while the others remained ignorant of the secret, is for posterity to decide. One thing is certain, at any rate. As the esotericism of the New Testament agrees perfectly with that of the Hebrew Mosaic Books; and since, at the same time, a number of purely Egyptian symbols and pagan dogmas in general -- the Trinity for example -- have been copied by, and incorporated into, the Synoptics and St. John, it becomes evident that the identity of those symbols was known to the writers of the New Testament, whoever they were. They must have been aware also of the priority of the Egyptian esotericism, since they have adopted several such symbols that typify purely Egyptian conceptions and beliefs -- in their outward and inward meaning -- and which are not to be found in the Jewish Canon. One of such is the water-lily in the hands of the Archangel in the early representations of his appearance to the Virgin Mary; and these symbolical images are preserved to this day in the iconography of the Greek and Roman Churches. Thus water, fire, the Cross, as well as the Dove, the Lamb, and other sacred animals, with all their combinations, yield esoterically an identical meaning, and must have been accepted as an improvement upon Judaism pure and simple. - The Secret Doctrine by H. P. Blavatsky, Vol 1, bk 2, ch 8, p. 384
The many-sided facets of the mystery language have led to the adoption of widely varied dogmas and rites in the exotericism of the Church rituals. It is they, again, which are at the origin of most of the dogmas of the Christian Church, e.g., the seven Sacraments, the Trinity, the Resurrection; the seven capital Sins and the seven Virtues. The seven keys to the mystery tongue, however, having always been in the keeping of the highest among the initiated Hierophants of antiquity, it is only the partial use of a few out of the seven which passed, through the treason of some early Church Fathers -- ex-initiates of the Temples -- into the hands of the new sect of the Nazarenes. Some of the early Popes were Initiates, but the last fragments of their knowledge have now fallen into the power of the Jesuits, who have turned them into a system of sorcery”. - The Secret Doctrine by H P Blavatsky Vol. 1, bk 2, ch 2, Page 310, 311

      Part 1 of 2
The majority of SDA and other Christians believe that the 'third person' of the Godhead is the third being of the trinity god. Adventists take a handful of Sister White's quotes and apply the trinity god to them, saying that Sister White became a trinitarian in her later life. So on this page, we are going to look deeper into this and find out exactly who this 'third person' is. First, let us look at some examples of Sister White's 'third person' quotes.
"Sin could be resisted and overcome only through the mighty agency of the Third Person of the Godhead." (E.White, Desire of Ages, p.671)
"He determined to give his representative, the third person of the Godhead." (E.White, The Watchman, Nov.28, 1905)
Now just looking at these quotes, you would think Ellen White believed in the trinity right? She clearly says in the above quotes that the Holy Spirit is the 'Third Person' of the Godhead. But as good Adventists you don't just take quotes like this on their own do you? You know very well, that context is king, and that you need to compare scripture with scripture, Spirit of Prophecy with Spirit of Prophecy, and Spirit of Prophecy with scripture. So let us first look at the context of the quote from Desire of Ages above:
"The Holy Spirit is Christ's representative, but divested of the personality of humanity, and independent thereof. Cumbered with humanity, Christ could not be in every place personally. Therefore it was for their interest that He should go to the Father, and send the Spirit to be His successor on earth. No one could then have any advantage because of his location or his personal contact with Christ. By the Spirit the Saviour would be accessible to all. In this sense He would be nearer to them than if He had not ascended on high. 'He that loveth Me shall be loved of My Father, and I will love him, and will manifest Myself to him ... The Lord knows all about His faithful servants who for His sake are lying in prison or who are banished to lonely islands. He comforts them with His own presence. When for the truth's sake the believer stands at the bar of unrighteous tribunals, Christ stands by his side ... The Holy Spirit was the highest of all gifts that He could solicit from His Father for the exaltation of His people ... Sin could be resisted and overcome only through the mighty agency of the Third Person of the Godhead, who would come with no modified energy, but in the fullness of divine power ... Through the Spirit the believer becomes a partaker of the divine nature. Christ has given His Spirit as a divine power to overcome all hereditary and cultivated tendencies to evil, and to impress His own character upon His church." (E.White, Desire of Ages, p.669-672)
Isn't interesting when you read the whole context, rather than just focus on one single line? So according to Ellen White above, the 'third person' of the Godhead is actually Christ's Spirit. The Holy Spirit is 'Christ's representative, independent of Christ's humanity'. Through the Spirit, 'Christ would be near us', as He would 'manifest Himself' to us, with 'His own presence'. So how can this be? Take a look at another quote from Ellen White which ties in with the first part of the above text.
"Cumbered with humanity, Christ could not be in every place personally; therefore it was altogether for their advantage that He should leave them, go to His father, and send the Holy Spirit to be His successor on earth. The Holy Spirit is Himself, divested of the personality of humanity and independent thereof. He would represent Himself as present in all places by His Holy Spirit, as the Omnipresent." (E.G.White, Manuscript Releases, vol.14, p.23)
Ellen White is saying that the Holy Spirit is Christ's own divine Spirit. But His Spirit works independently from His physical human being. And this is the 'Third Person' that Sister White speaks of. She is not saying that the 'Third Person' is the third being of the so called trinity. No. She is confirming that the 'Third Person of the Godhead' is Christ's own divine Spirit, which works independently of His physical human nature. Remember, Christ has TWO natures now. The divine nature and the human nature. So He has both a divine Spirit 'person' and a human nature 'person', with His own divine Spirit person being that 'third person' Ellen White talks of, not a third separate being from the Father and Son.
"They did not think that the subject of their conversation was walking by their side; FOR CHRIST REFERRED TO HIMSELF AS THOUGH HE WERE ANOTHER PERSON." (E.White, Desire of Ages, p.800)
Speaking of Pentecost, Ellen White confirmed that it was "The Spirit of Christ" which "animated the whole congregation." (Signs of the Times, Dec.1, 1898). And what was the reason that Christ took human nature? ... "Christ took human nature that men might be one with Him as He is one with the Father, that God may love man as He loves His only-begotten Son, that men may be partakers of the divine nature, and be complete in Him. The Holy Spirit, which proceeds FROM the only-begotten Son of God, binds the human agent, body, soul, and spirit, to the perfect, divine-human nature of Christ.". (E.G.White, Selected Messages 1, p.250)
And how are we able to become 'one with Christ'? Through Christ's own divine Spirit, which is that 'third person'. And Ellen White regard as a 'Third Person', because Christ's Spirit works independently from His human nature. Let's look at some other Ellen White quotes to further support this.
"When trials overshadow the soul, remember the words of Christ, remember that He is an unseen presence in the person of the Holy Spirit." (E.G. White, DG 185.2, 1897)
"With HIS Spirit, CHRIST sends a reconciling influence and a power that takes away sin." (Ellen G. White, Review and Herald, May 19, 1904)
"The words that I speak unto you, they are Spirit, and they are life (John 6:57, 63). Christ is not here referring to His doctrine, but to HIS person, the divinity of His character." (E.G.White, 1 Selected Messages, p.249)
"It is not safe to catch the spirit from another. We want the Holy Spirit, which is Jesus Christ." (E.White, Letter 66, April 10, 1894, par.17-18)
"The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Christ, which is sent to all men to give them sufficiency, that through His grace we might be complete in Him." (E.G. White, 14 Manuscript Releases, p. 84)
"They have one God and one Saviour; and one Spirit--THE SPIRIT OF CHRIST--is to bring unity into their ranks." (E.G.White, Testimonies, Vol.9 p.189)
As stated at the top of this page, Ellen White stated that "Sin could be resisted and overcome only through the mighty agency of the Third Person of the Godhead." (E.White, Desire of Ages, p.671). And who was the only one, according to Ellen White's other writings who could overcome sin in us? She said ... "There is no power in you apart from CHRIST, but it is your privilege to have Christ abiding in your heart by faith, and HE can OVERCOME SIN in you, when you cooperate with His efforts." (Ellen G. White, Our High Calling, 76.5). She also stated that "With HIS Spirit, CHRIST sends a reconciling influence and a power that takes away sin." (Ellen G. White, Review and Herald, May 19, 1904). So what is that 'only power' through which sin can be resisted and overcome? It is the 'Spirit of Christ', not some other 'third being'.
This is why in John 14:18, Jesus told the disciples that HE would come to us as the Comforter, and in Matthew 28:20 that HE would be with us always, even unto the end of the age. It is because Christ 'imbues us with His own Spirit' (E.White, Bible Echo, Sept.18, 1899). And who are we 'grieving' with our constant sins? we are "grieving the pure, holy Spirit of Christ with our defiling sins." (E.White, The Review and Herald, July 5, 1898 par. 7)
Does the Bible support this fact that the Holy Spirit is in fact the Spirit of Christ Himself? Yes! Take a look at the following Bible verses concerning this.
Revelation 5:6 ...'And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, HAVING seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.'
John 14:18-20 ...'I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.'
Matthew 18:20 ...'For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.'
Acts 2:32-33 ...'This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.'
Galatians 4:6 ...'And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
2 Corinthians 3:17 ...'Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.'
Philippians 1:19 ...'For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ.'
As you can see, the Bible also clearly supports the fact that the Holy Spirit is in fact Jesus Christ Himself, through His own divine Spirit, which Ellen White confirms works 'independently' from His human nature, as the 'Third Person'. And anyone with eyes to see and a heart to receive the truth will see this.
"The Saviour is our Comforter. This I have proved Him to be." (E.White, 8MR 49)

    The Holy Spirit
    1. What is the Biblical definition for “Spirit”?
Isaiah 40:13 Who hath directed the Spirit of the LORD, or being his counsellor hath taught him? Romans 11:34 For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor? - Here we learn the plain Bible definition for “spirit”. Spirit = mind. Spirit of the Lord = mind of the Lord.
    2. What is another Biblical definition for “Spirit”? John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. - Jesus plainly taught that His words are two things: spirit and life. Thus teaching that spirit = life. This spirit/life is in his words. Words express our thoughts/mind. God’s words express His divine mind. Now we can build this formula: spirit = mind = life.
    3. Many people are confused over the ‘Holy Spirit’
Many people are confused over the ‘Holy Spirit’. How does God clarify the matter for us?
1 Corinthians 2:11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. - God’s spirit and man’s spirit are comparable to each other. We can learn about the Spirit of God by looking at the spirit of man. That is simple, since man was made in the image and likeness of God.
    4. Is the spirit of man a different individual to the man?
Daniel 2:1 And in the second year of the reign of Nebuchadnezzar Nebuchadnezzar dreamed dreams, wherewith his spirit was troubled, and his sleep brake from him. - Who was troubled here? Is it the king himself or someone else? It is certainly the king. His spirit, which is his mind, was troubled. His spirit is not a different individual to him!
    5. What did Jesus promise before He left?
John 14:16, 17, 26 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he
dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. - Jesus will send a Comforter. The Comforter is the Spirit of truth. It is the Holy Ghost, or Holy Spirit.
    6. Where does this Spirit come from?
John 15:26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me. - The Holy Spirit comes from the Father. Proceeds from the Father. It means to go forth, to issue from.
    7. What will this Spirit do?
Mark 13:11 But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost. - The Holy Spirit will give us the right words. Matthew 10:20 For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you. - It is the Spirit of the Father. So the Father has a spirit, and that spirit is a holy spirit. The word ‘Holy’ is an adjective.
    8. How can we hurt God? Ephesians 4:30 And grieve not the holy Spirit
of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. - When we grieve the holy spirit of God we hurt God
Himself, not someone else. We can’t hurt God physically, but we can hurt His feelings. Genesis 6:3, 6 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. - God was hurt by the
wickedness of man before the Flood. They grieved His Holy Spirit, they grieved Him at His heart.

Am I getting this right was Jesus saying this is pertaining to Ryan's statement of John Chapter 14 verse 17 and 18 was Jesus saying to them basically...
our father came veiled in in him Jesus Christ, so basically; Jesus was telling them he is the veil between them, and the Father, because they would disintegrate if the father came unveiled.....
The scripture popped into my head John 4:
10 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.

There is no verse in the bible that says God is three co-eternal persons making up One being. That is simply the Doctrines of Man. Nothing less, nothing more.
Let's not say our doctrines are biblical if we are in fact basing our doctrines on human reason and not a plain thus saith the Lord.

I'm sure the intent of these dear people is sincere. I hope and pray that they revisit is subject in their personal studies with an unbiased mindset and not one trying to prove the "third person...." yet again. The Bible is so clear that there are only two. Let us all be as little children humbly coming to this matter. God will lead all who are truly seeking to know the truth as it is in Christ Jesus.
I can tell you one thing. The apostles and early Christians did not believe in a Trinity. They believed Christ at His word. HE came to them in (His) Spirit form divest of his physical being.
    Acts 3:19,20
19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.
20 And he shall send JESUS CHRIST, which before was preached unto you:
Live out Thy life within me O JESUS King of Kings,
And be thyself the answer to all my questionings.
