I think it's kinda sad how Tyler wanted all of these artists to be on this album and no one really wanted to be on with him, however, I think it's a blessing for him because it gave him a way of expressing his feelings himself. The album might have collapsed if he had all of those artists instead of him actually conveying those emotions. Still loving it

Tyler Okonma is one of the most influential black musicians in the world. He is so musically talented and back when he was more into rap he still killed bars and verses like nothing. Tyler has already made a legend of himself and I can't wait for his future music! Please never stop Tyler.
Justin SomSom i wouldn't call him most influential yet, but give it 5 years. there will be niggas coming out left and right saying he's their inspiration and he put them in to other genres/artists. brockhampton is only the beginning
they were great friends for a decade. one grew feelings, one different. honestly pretty common. Tyler wouldnt agree to some random reality show lol. its just two boys on their own weird paths
I will forever respect Tyler because he actually speaks out about how black people always pressure each other to stay in this judgmental mindset of what's cool and what's not He encourages black people to be them and love who they are no matter if they're outcasts He is the living example I always felt insecure to do shit like listen to rock music or wear Converses instead of Jordans Just to see an example like him lets me know that the things I do is not abnormal it's me being me forever love and respect Tyler thank you

I feel you on this. I always got called oreo or white washed cause i was that one black kid listening to punk rock and reading instead of rap or wearing button up shirts and converse instead of b-ball jerseys and Jordan's. I could go on and on but my point still stands. I was original and it's so comforting hearing and watching a famous artist say it and live it and how other people in general just relate to it. Who's weird now tho? Lmao
omg I relate so much I'm 13 and black I have mostly white friends because other black people in my school think I act like them because I dress in all black and listen to alternative pop punk or indie bands instead of mainstream auto tuned rap bullshit like everyone else.

yo this guy asks the dopest shit. He was really focused on the creation of his music with his questions, but he did it in a way that he got real answers from the artist. I feel like even some of the top interviewers and radio hosts who tend to do it.. cannot achieve this.
Yea I wish more interviewers would actually be interested in the music of the artists they’re interview. Or at least try to if u didn’t get an artist u like.
Jerrod Carmichael is one of the best, up and coming comics. Check out his HBO stand-up special called "8", he's really funny. The interview is amazing because you can tell there is mutual respect between the two of them...

Like he stated, when people don't understand or see you how they think they should see you, they critique you. Don't worry Tyler, they see you now.
Ahead of his time, or past his time?
exactly- past his time.
garden shed is Tyler's best song. that instrumental is fucking beautiful. this man really has bloomed lol
Now ik why there was never a “IGOR: a conversation”
Look up , Tyler the creator and Rick Rubin.
Wdym
@@thatguyap_ jarrad had a show out and one of the “scenes” was him talking to tyler about how tyler stopped talking to him after he found out jarrad was in love with him.
Tyler's happy face just makes me wanna play all his songs back to back
Man i love how Tyler geniunly gets super hyped and super stoked over peoples opinion on his music. You can just tell that he's in it for the art. Flower Boy hands down album of the year for me
I think it's kinda sad how Tyler wanted all of these artists to be on this album and no one really wanted to be on with him, however, I think it's a blessing for him because it gave him a way of expressing his feelings himself. The album might have collapsed if he had all of those artists instead of him actually conveying those emotions. Still loving it
the only two i wouldve really enjoyed are q and carti. carti's input wouldve been a minimal yet cool addition and q couldve really rapped over who dat boy.
as it stands, the album allowed rex, estelle, steve lacy, etc all to gain greater exposure they actually deserve.
@@pojomon1234 it happened!
@@bruceU???
@@ozzy.8413 might be a reach but i think he's talking about gemini rights by steve lacy getting a ton of recognition.
Congrats Jerrod on coming out. Came back to this conversation today.
Was thinking the exact same thing
I love how this was more a conversation between two people who are becoming better friends instead of some weird interview between strangers.
cuz us black people always comfortable with each other
mm but what if he was talking to a white guy
just saying man.
YouNeek he was joking smh you gotta attack someone about race who's making a joke about race by using race to back up your response about race smh there's no race for this life
loll ima girl but thanks
Tyler Okonma is one of the most influential black musicians in the world. He is so musically talented and back when he was more into rap he still killed bars and verses like nothing. Tyler has already made a legend of himself and I can't wait for his future music! Please never stop Tyler.
Justin SomSom i wouldn't call him most influential yet, but give it 5 years. there will be niggas coming out left and right saying he's their inspiration and he put them in to other genres/artists. brockhampton is only the beginning
Why'd you have to shoehorn "black" in there
i mean he's black.
agree to disagree friend, but brockhampton is fire as fuck lol
Nobody:
Cameraman: i will zoom on tyler's fingers why not
Cameraman: Tyler's saying something important. Better film the top half of his head and mostly the background.
hey I’m not complaining
I know it's an artistic choice, but 75% of the shots make me uncomfortable. 😆
Gave it a vibe
the way he zoomed in right as i read your comment though...
bro was thirsty since 2018 💀
"are you okay?" lol
Should have been "are you gay?"
This is the most satisfying interview I've ever watched. They both just look so genuine in their conversation and reactions and emotions
Tyler better win a fucking Grammy.
illczar nah fuck a grammy
They hella racist ova there.
illczar he won’t, mainstream headass Kendrick probs will :(
illczar Noone should care about any grammy we all know it is not about the best art work at all.
Lewis Perez no they’re not, there’s no white candidates this year.
It’s interesting watching this video now knowing that he had a crush on Tyler😂
they were great friends for a decade. one grew feelings, one different. honestly pretty common. Tyler wouldnt agree to some random reality show lol. its just two boys on their own weird paths
I will forever respect Tyler because he actually speaks out about how black people always pressure each other to stay in this judgmental mindset of what's cool and what's not
He encourages black people to be them and love who they are no matter if they're outcasts
He is the living example
I always felt insecure to do shit like listen to rock music or wear Converses instead of Jordans
Just to see an example like him lets me know that the things I do is not abnormal it's me being me
forever love and respect Tyler thank you
roszina jones
I think that's great, coming from a pasty white dude. Be whoever the fuck you want. Don't feel pressured to be anything. We're all humans. I'm so glad that Tyler is smashing cultural forces.
Lmao
roszina jones amen!!
roszina jones I totally agree
omg I relate so much I'm 13 and black I have mostly white friends because other black people in my school think I act like them because I dress in all black and listen to alternative pop punk or indie bands instead of mainstream auto tuned rap bullshit like everyone else.
Somebody hack this nigga Tyler laptop and get us those 24 other versions of 9/11. God damn I love this album and hearing his mindset just reveals that he’s a musical genius in the truest sense.
Mason Williams yeah that or hack it and get his lost tape “senioritis” from 2008-2009
Jerrod is basically Igor, crazy when u think about it

“I been kissing white boys since 2004” he was 12 in 2004 rip Tyler officially gay
yo this guy asks the dopest shit. He was really focused on the creation of his music with his questions, but he did it in a way that he got real answers from the artist. I feel like even some of the top interviewers and radio hosts who tend to do it.. cannot achieve this.
also those interviewers and radio hosts aren't musicians themselves, so they can't ask those kind of questions as easily
Yea I wish more interviewers would actually be interested in the music of the artists they’re interview. Or at least try to if u didn’t get an artist u like.
Jerrod Carmichael is one of the best, up and coming comics. Check out his HBO stand-up special called "8", he's really funny. The interview is amazing because you can tell there is mutual respect between the two of them...
i remember an old interview of tyler i saw when i was first getting into it and he was being so mean to the interviewer for asking simple questions that anyone can find on wikipedia and at the time i didnt understand what the big deal was. Seeing this interview brings new expectations for interviewers in my mind. Its so tight
He deserved that Grammy forsure, I’m so sad he didn’t win.
Kendrick deserved it
Migg debatable
Agree, but if he had to lose to someone, kendrick was the best choice
Migg DAMN wasn't as good as Kendrick's previous albums
Filthy Frank If humble wasn't on the album he wouldn't have won.
We're all back here 😂
lolol
In hindsight, we saw the signs 😂
The camera man caught boredom it seems

yo its speedrun legend ricky 👀👀❤
Directed By: Wolf Haley
I liked the vibe
If we’re being honest tyler probably told them to do that. He wants everything his own way so.
y'all ever just binge watch all of tylers interviews
yes like all the time
They're all just so damn good
HOLY SHIT, yes. I just did 2day :)
I do between albums. I need his voice and free spirit
hell yeah
Tyler should of won album of the year.
BOOM! idc Tv should have*
Flower Boy was a great album but DAMN. had outclassed every other album at that time
Roam I disagree mac miller dropped a great album as well. Either way I think all 3 should be looked at as classics.
honestly, I love Bruno Mars' album, but it's not as good as it's competitors, if he would've just one best R&B album, I would've been happen. Tyler had the best album, musically at least. Jay and Kendrick had better lyrical albums, but no one can replace Tyler's creativity in Flower Boy
100000%
I like how OKRA was filmed like this.

I never comment on anything on RUclips but I just had to for this. This dude’s creativity is on another planet. 25 fucking versions of 911/Mr Lonely?! The most creative dude in hip hop today. Please just try to disagree with that statement.
Benjamin Potter I can’t bro u right
He’s on a kanye level of creative production
I'd say he's the most creative in sound and vibe, but, I'd say even though for this generation I'd argue he's at the top lyricist level he's not the most creative lyricist.
i never comment on comments but damn you right you absolutely right
I wish more artist talked this passionately about their album and their appreciation for music😍😍😍😍
Big time
a lot of artists aren't that passionate, most of the time they don't even make their own music 😂
@@memequeen2189 I agree.

tyler is actually a genius. listen to the way he talks about music and remembers it down to the number of the song on the album.
"i never said im depressed, im lonely, but im having the most fun of my goddamn life" never felt something so deeply
correction maybe its this "my room was warm as hell cause i like the heater on, and there was nothing to eat but dry cereal, and im just sitting there like wtf am i gonna do"
weirdly me
An hour. Holy shit. This is everything I ever wanted. Tyler is so passionate about music and him talking about it is so fucking cool.

Seeing a quarter of the faces is where it becomes really woke
Seal Mcbeal you probably have a reddit
Brendan Joyce is “you have a reddit” an insult now
Vickle Media no i was making an assumption about a random person I'm sorry you're so insecure you thought i would go out of my way to roast you
Brendan Joyce lol what the fuck calm down it’s not that deep
Shit after this album I bet they start returning them calls
13StJimmy like "heyyyyyyy tyler sorry about not picking up,you still trynna record together?"
it is sad to see how much he was declined by other artists.
Right. They couldn't make anything like his songs
It’s more sad for them than anything
Even sadder when you see it ain't just the music denied
The tiny nuances of this film is so awesome. The music playing when they discuss a song, the awkwardly positioned camera angles. It's art
It's enjoyable, but like, they're telling me this is artistry too heavily. I get it, tone it down, art doesn't need to bluntly beat you about the face
i need to find the little instrumental snippets, they're so good
i really like tyler being creative with his cinematography and stuff but this is one of the worst formats to do a fucking interview with. dafuq is he zooming into his damn mouth and stuff its so aweful

Tyler the Creator will never get enough respect. This album is my favorite of his because no one is doing what he’s doing with the unique incorporation of all these sounds into rap. Using rap as the cherry on top of incredible compositions. Tyler the Creator is a true artist and people need to stop taking this man for granted, because there might never be another person as beautifully unique and creative in his process. Thank you for being you, Tyler. 🙏🏽
You right
deep. but accurate
Damn now we have Igor
He will get his respect, but it’s going to be maybe 10-15 years in the future looking back at it. This nigga got classics already but it’s still too fresh for niggas to realize
