From the very beginning, Rivers Cuomo and Weezer knew they were destined for greatness. But the road to get there wasn't always smooth. This is the story of how Weezer became one of the biggest bands in music.

For a kid growing up at that time Columbia House was a gold mine. It was a clueless company with an awful business model that you could exploit repeatedly. I remember getting so many cassettes & CDs from them by applying multiple times. We moved around nyc so I could use a new address each time.
They'd send you 12 cassettes, & later CDs, for a penny with an agreement to buy 4 more from them at an inflated price, but no one ever did. 😂.

Maybe the fact they opened for Sloan is the reason i've always liked Weezer. Sloan is from Halifax, NS (which is where i live)

I went into this video thinking: "eh- I don't really care much for Weezer but I like this RUclips channel and I might as well learn a thing or two." Now I've already blasted and danced to the Blue Album so... I was wrong. Still not a total Weezer fan, or even a fan, but yeah- their music isn't bad. I feel like knowing the lore of a band often makes their music sound more impressive and phenomenal.
