Standing in his way is a Ukrainian fight legend, Vasiliy Lomachenko, a three-division world champion intent on writing another triumphant chapter in his Hall of Fame career.
Lomachenko and Kambosos will clash for the vacant IBF lightweight world title as part of a world title tripleheader on Sunday, May 12, at RAC Arena in Perth, Australia. Two additional world title fights will be announced in the coming weeks.
Promoted by DiBella Entertainment, Top Rank, Ferocious Promotions, TEG Sport and Duco Events, Lomachenko-Kambosos and the two additional world title fights will be broadcast in prime time in the United States on Saturday, May 11 at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT, live on ESPN, ESPN Deportes and ESPN+.

Man, going through these comments and I can't find any that say that they thought Haney won lol. I've been scrolling and scrolling and it's all for Loma. You'd think with the "star power" that Haney has, there would be more of his fans in here standing up for him, but it's like 99% people on the side that Loma was robbed in this fight. R2: Haney round. Haney keeps pivoting to his right making Loma miss and also blocks him from creating an angle to set up offense. Haney lands jabs and body punches. Loma has one good spell in action when Haney is briefly on the ropes, he lands two punches but for some reason backs off.
R3 Loma Round. Haney starts off again landing body punches pivoting to nullify Loma from creating his angle. Loma however does adapt and lands some good left hands.

I was at this fight. I’ve watched it a couple times since. Just rewatched it. I can’t understand how anyone could argue Haney won. Loma controlled the ring. Landed the bigger shots. And landed combinations. Haney threw no more than 2 at a time and clinched half the fight

The fight is not scored as a whole, loma needs to be up on the strikes landed for every round. He could land alot punches in just 2-3 rounds but fewer on other rounds

Biased announced, "body shot right to the belt line" 26:27 Haney literally hits him square in the middle of the quadricep halfway down his leg. Loma landed more punches, most of which were to the head, while Haney only punched the body. Loma had the bigger moments in the fight, Haney really didn't have any. How exactly did Haney win this? Harvey Doc warns Haney he'll take a point for punching the back of the head. Haney does it again multiple times, no point taken. No way Haney won this fight.

This was a difficult fight to score. Some really close rounds! Loma had the more eye catching shots I thought(mostly to Haney’s head). And for Haney, I thought his tremendous work to Loma’s body kept him in the fight.

So yeah it could have gone 115-113 to Haney as well and I wouldn’t be too upset. Like I mentioned previously, his body attack on Loma kept him in the fight and occasionally landed some nice head shots as well. Excellent effort from both fighters, especially Loma who is a true featherweight fighting a much bigger man in Haney and making it a tremendous fight.
You know after the 9th rd, haney at his corner his mouth was bloodied up and told his dad , he figured me out😂😂😂😂. That being said, haney did not win rd 9

It wasn't an entertaining fight for me but the fight was close. This was the first time that I've watched it. The way Lomachenko fans go on about this result I thought that he put a beatdown on Haney. It was the complete Lomachenko won two clear rounds. Most of the other rounds his work was sporadic.

I had it 7-5 either way I guess so many swing rounds early on and the 12th was swing round for me too. At minimum a draw was warranted. Loma a 🐐 tho he’s a 130 pounder fighting at 135 against a fighter who is naturally walking around at 175 pounds and should be fighting at 147

Haney landed body shots but these weren't effective punches. You score a fight based on EFFECTIVE AGGRESSION, CLEAN EFFECTIVE SHOTS, and RING GENERALSHIP. I go by the Marquess of Queensberry Rules which has been the blueprint since the late 1800's.

Good fight from Undisputed Haney, casuals don't even know how scoring works. Winning a round or two rounds decisively does not win you the fight, if you marginally lost every round. Thats math ppl
What wins fights in boxing is effective aggression. Loma landed more effective shots. 7to5 for loma. The body shots had little to no effect. Loma was still taking it to haney till the final bell. These are the rules for scoring a boxing match. Effective aggression, ring generalship and dictating the pace of the match. Haney didn't meet any of these criteria.

One thing I notice about Lomachenko is that he's a forward puncher.
Loma clearly loss this fight. It shows how much ppl discredit the work Devin put in majority of this fight. Yes it’s exciting when loma swings. They changed up the Commentary for this upload, they have Haney winning 7 rounds by round 9 on there unofficial cards
I paid for the PPV and I noticed that also on this upload they even cut the commentary off after the fight and skip to the guy giving his scorecard Top Rank slick AF

Unbiased opinion. Haney won 7-5.
Two judges had it right.
It came down to the last round. Haney won by landing the better cleaner more effective punches and was consistent all round. Loma has a small flurry at the very end.
Great fight - Truly Loma’s best performance I’ve seen to date. Haney won to many early rounds. Loma had some big rounds in 10-11.
This was the right and fair decision.
Loma waited until round 8 to fight.

Devin Haney landed 110 punches (50 body punches).
Vasiliy Lomachenko landed 124 punches.
Lomachenko landed more cleaner and effective punches.
That’s not how fights are scored it’s kind of crazy how most people don’t know how to score rounds. Their are 4 judging criteria the judges use

@@oxygentank00 no that’s not how it works, final punch stats don’t determine the winner there are many other factors. But if you want to go by punch stats then going round by round Haney actually wins which is how boxing is scored round by round. Loma only over took in punches landed after the 9th before the 10th round Haney landed more despite throwing less. Also there is something called affective agression which is only given to a fighter if he lands first or overwhelms the fighter. Which many times when Loma did his flurries Haney countered to the body which sometimes made loma go straight out. If a fighter is beaten to the punch/countered when being aggressive it is not counted as affectives agression so they don’t get points for their aggression, most fans don’t even know that so they don’t know how to score a fight. I had the same issue when I got into boxing. Also another criteria is defense Loma landed a less percent of his power punches while Haney landed over 40% of his power punches in 7 rounds and over 30% in 11 rounds and up to 60% in one round so Haney had better defense and was the more accurate fighter based on punch stats. People easily miss body shots which don’t count less then a head shot. It was a close fight it could of gon either way to say robbery is absurd people just don’t like Haney. I Initially thought loma won watching live rewatched it I had Haney winning, I think Haney just about won it but a draw would of probably been best.

When it comes to effective and clean punches, Loma won by a large margin, if you take the percentage of thrown punches in comparison to the punches landed, both boxing experts and compubox agree Loma won by a large margin. Just listen to the commentators and those who watched it live, they never agreed to the result of the fight. Anyway it is what it is. Just to prove my point, Haney will never ever give a rematch to Loma, because he knew he would lose again. I'm 100% sure of that.

Teddy Atlas who loves loma and had him P4P #1 said it wasn’t even a robbery. Loma threw over 159 more punches but only landed 14 more then Haney. Boxing is scored round by round you say by looking a punch stats loma won go and look round by round Haney wins by your standard. You still can’t even name the 4 judging criteria you clean punches us only one of the 4. Haney outlanded loma in 5 rounds and loma out landed Haney in 5 rounds and in the last 2 rounds they landed the same amount but in those two rounds Haney landed more power punches and power punches count more so by your standards of punch stats (not mine) Haney wins. Even Shakur Stevenson took back what he said in an interview he actually it’s hard to see ringside. You don’t watch much boxing or just got into boxing not to long ago I can tell by your reasonings.
Even if Haney landed slightly less than Loma on the score card, but his punches were much crispier, so it’s easier for the judges to score.
I called it a Draw and I gave the Edge if you want to Haney just because he landed more Body shots but a very very Closed fight..!!
Not to mention the differences in sizes and weights. Loma won that fight!!!!!

i have it scored and explain here. 115-113 LOMA WON, i scored it as 10 and 9 per round each.
RD 1 HANEY- haney more aggressive more ring generalship, later on that round loma closes the distance tho
RD2 HANEY-haney body punches more in control, loma ate good straight right from haney but closes the gap via combination letting his hands go
RD3 LOMA-good right hand haney early, also he's more in control first few second but Loma pressed on the gas later on with combinations and good uppercut too, loma found his range this round
4 LOMA-early angles and combinations from loma, good leaping jab, haney tryna man handle him but loma doing good footwork, this round is close to score
5 HANEY-good body punches from haney and its heavy, good defense haney, good uppercut haney, good combinations with same hand from loma this round is close
6 HANEY-more punches are landing from haney, better combinations from loma and loma got two good counter punch, good body work from haney really really close round, haney hitting behind the head no deduction tho
7 LOMA-good left hands from loma early, loma more in control on this round and was able to maintain good defense using angles, good straight and then body from haney, more powerful punches from loma
8LOMA-loma really on control with his jab,doubling his punches loma, snapping jabs from loma, good 1-2 from haney but loma has more actions done
9 LOMA-both guys throwing one powerpunches, haney did more but loma throwing good combination in the inside, loma more active later this round and haney showing signs of fatigue mouth open.
