    Your baby is adorable ! I’m gonna try this! My baby is 4 months old and is getting up at least 2 time at night . She slept through the night for one week straight but now she doesn’t

    Hey! Not sure if you’ll see this but I HOPE SO...
    I’m about to start sleep training my 4.5 month old guy. I love how you went about this! But I have a question. What (if you remember) was your schedule/routine like? How long were your wake windows? I feel like I need to sure up that stuff before we start because he’s so overtired. Anyway, if you see this and can help, thank you!!

    I did the same when he is 3 months now he is a year he still wake up at 3 am just to eat

    I, myself am totally against letting a baby cry it out, no matter what the circumstances. It can cause long term damage, and the fact that it worked in 3 days, does not make it a good approach. There are better methods to get the baby to sleep through the night, without any crying. Really hope people don't follow this advice. It may work out well for some, but bad for others, and in all cases, why would you let a poor, sensitive , defensless child cry?

      Ana-Maria Micu to each their own. I did research and picked a method I was comfortable with. She did beautifully with the Ferber method, which has been used since 1985 and proven to be effective and to cause good sleeping habits later on in life. My daughter loves her bedtime routine and is secure in her room by herself, not reliant on myself or my husband having to put her to sleep. I loved this method and will use it on my next one as well. Use what you’re comfortable with!

      @@natkat9413 yes, to each their own, but maybe look a little bit more into the negative effects. In the teenage alyears after the method was implemented, lots of young people had panic attacks. There are much better methods to use to get a child to sleep on their own. But of course they take longer.

      There have been plenty of studies that literally prove there is no difference between teenagers and adults that were sleep trained and those that weren’t. This method is effective and it’s not the extinction method which can cause problems. This isn’t just leave your baby to cry all night method. I can’t stand uneducated people who judge moms for choosing what’s best for their baby. I would bet money you are also against vaccines because one doctor that got disbarred posted some illegitimate research saying they caused autism. If you don’t like the method post your own video instead of commenting on others videos. She posted this to help other moms and if you’re against it then take your opinions and move along because that’s all they are opinions. You didn’t quote or attach and link to the so called research studies that prove your side you just stated some opinions not fact.

    I’m confused, my baby is four months I’ve tried this method and he cried for an HoUr! He would go longer but I couldn’t bare and hear him anymore. He was not just crying but screaming

    • @annemary86
      @annemary86 4 года назад

      The ferberizing method is very controversial and could cause long term damage to the baby. Many adolescents in the ferber period developed anxiety and panic attacks.achild should not be left crying only for us to get more sleep. Study this more before applying on your baby. They are terrified that you let them alone. There are also no cry sleep solutions and plenty of books on that, but it takes maybe longer than three days. I think it's worth it

      This method has been known to traumatize babies. A baby's only method of communication at this time is by crying. The reason this method "works" is because the baby learns that no matter how much they cry out to their parent they will not come.

    • @ariellemedina737
      @ariellemedina737 4 года назад

      The first night is the worst. As for the other commenters there is little evidence it causes problems like they say. Even my child’s pediatrician recommended I do it with my babies. I have two older boys and they are great sleepers now. This teaches them to self soothe you don’t “abandon” them it’s not the extinction method. You do the checks to show baby you’re there and if they need to eat you feed them depending on their age is how many feeds you do. My third baby will be 4 months soon and I will sleep train him but I don’t night wean until a few months later. I hope you eventually got some sleep and baby too.

  • @wendy8561

    Hey Kat late response but try running a vacuum cleaner in the same room the baby will instantly stop crying, look it up or if I can help anyone else on here I know how it is to have a baby lactose intolerant with colic years ago when I had mine that's what I had to do they kind of had to grow out of it I guess

    Thank you for making this video! Gives me hope that this can work for my baby :) My little guy will be 4 mo next week and we are wanting to start the Ferber method soon. I have two questions if you have time to answer. 1. You said you used a rocker. Did you use a rocker such as the rock n play before sleep training? 2. Did you ditch the swaddle ( transition to sleep sack only), transition to her crib/her own room all at the same time you started sleep training? I think you said so in your video but I’m just clarifying.
    Thank you in advance! :)

    • @natkat9413
      @natkat9413  5 лет назад

      Brooke_Mayfield _ I wish you good luck! Best thing I’ve ever done.
      I stopped using the rocker at night completely whenever I moved her into her crib. I still used it for her naps until we transitioned her into the crib for those as well. I started with one nap a day and added on another one every week.
      I no longer swaddled her whenever we sleep trained either. Also took away the paci at night. Just ripped the band aid off so to say 😂

    Hi Nat, thank you for the nicely done video :)
    My wife and I tried the Ferber method similar to what you mentioned and it has been working well on our 4 months old baby.
    The only issue is that he wakes up 2 times at night; one time around 1am and again around 3am. But he sleeps till 630am after that. He would drink when he wakes up at both times. Any advice would be appreciated? :)

    • @natkat9413
      @natkat9413  5 лет назад

      Around that age my daughter would wake up twice a night as well. As long as he goes back to sleep by himself after the bottles you're doing fine! You could try to push that second bottle back later since he probably isn't hungry just 2 hours after he ate but that's a personal choice.

    God.... Children don't have any other way to say something than by crying. It's their way to communicate with parents. Imagine you wake up at night scared and have no one to cuddle. You are alone and weak and no one is coming when you need someone to feel safe. Babies just don't understand what's happening, they had they mama for 9 months, listening to her heartbeat and now they're feel lost and alone in that scary big world. It's our thing as a parents to take care of them and their needs.
    Leaveing someone in the dark when the person feels bad, lost, hungry, had bad dream, beeing in pain or whatever till it's lost hope and stop crying can't end up well. It's proved that leaving baby to cry out causes long term consequences like panic attacs, depression, anxiety, problem with trust when baby gets older, or later as a teenager and adult person, problems with building good relationships and so on. It's natural for the baby to be always with a parent, when baby is rised with 100 procent consciousness you are there always when it's needs you, then when baby grows up its simply starts to let go and go its own way but with trust you're somewehere over there to help if there would be any problem.
    It's old method. Ppl fonud it because they didn't know what to do and how it affects the human being. Also many children were born unwanted but parents had to keep them bc of some society or religion pressure now we know how to prevent the pregnancy and if someone is not ready for a child may simply not have it. Thay had no choice than survive. Now we know we have other options and shouldnt do that, there are books and knowledge in the internet and we can change that sick cycle of rising ppl that feels lost in the world

      And she replied thats what motherhood is to take care of your child and be there when he needs u,she hated this method.
      And said sooner or later ur baby is gonna sleep though the night anyhow,so now be there when he is crying out for u💜

    Great video! Are you still feeding her in the middle of the night. My little one wakes up once now and I always wait to see if she’ll go back to bed. But she doesn’t and seems to be hungry

    • @natkat9413
      @natkat9413  4 года назад

      Melissa Mimosa she’s almost a year and a half now and I believe the middle of the night feedings stopped between 9 and 10 months. I usually let her cry them out for 10 or so minutes to see if she was hungry or if she just was having trouble going back to sleep. They eventually outgrow it. Hang in there!
