Courtney, I have not bothered to do any recording of any of this when I got started on 6 april, and I have lost weight, never been hungry. I made my own Tallow, beef and pork.
Biggest take away, I am doing this and just enjoying the journey. so far I have lost a decent amount. This will come, dont give up is the key. ur doing great.
My female cousin lost 0 weight two months into carnivore. BUT, her waist was shrinking, gums stopped bleeding etc. When all your muscles are working right you'll "feel" lighter. Feel good. Throw your scale away. and your tv while at it

We need to remember this WOE is not just about weight loss. It is a healing journey and we learn along the way. I hate to think of people "giving up" because the scale has stalled.
Positive message for you: I'm 75 days into my carnivore journey and have not lost any weight at all. My weight hasn't gone up or down which normally would be very discouraging but...my clothes are way looser, I've gone down 3 sizes and it's been confirmed on a body composition scale. I've gained almost 4 lbs of muscle and lost 4 lbs of fat and my metabolism is climbing too!! If I had only been tracking my weight I'd be so discouraged and frustrated. But I'm so stoked that without any exercise I'm putting on muscle still! Keep going girl. You got this

My mom is the same way!! She hasn't "lost" any weight... But her clothes are starting to sag...she's super active, so it's been a struggle to convince her that she's gaining muscle...and losing inches.. I try to encourage her to NOT get on the scale..

good deal Courtney. I'm with you. I lost 50 pounds no longer in kidney failure, fibromyalgia pain is gone, the lump on my neck that was on my spine has deteriorated is gone. They said it wouldn't be and I know my body is healing there's no doubt, I tried doing that made me crazy. I am walking. I'm doing all the things. no cheating. So I'm just going to continue on try to rest my mind. I think that can really bother you, but I'm coming up on my mom's first year of being gone to heaven, my kids are gone, lots of those kind of challenges and I'm just gonna continue working on being healthy. 50 pounds is off of my body, but I have a ways to go, I'm listening to you. Thanks for your encouragement. I lovemy Carni's!!! as long as you're going forward and don't fail back it freezes us. You're gonna be fine. You know the rules and the things that guide you forward, you know where you came from. There's nothing that can take that away unless you go back to your old habits. Keep moving forward, girl.!!!

I would like to say thank you for all your content and your recipes. It’s wonderful. I want to encourage you with not tracking your macros. I actually lost my last 20 pounds by not tracking macros. While I was tracking my macros, I would look and say ooh I have so many fat grams to eat or so much more I could eat, even if I wasn’t hungry, thought I had to eat that much. Literally started listening to my body. I ate slower and that way I knew when I was full. One day I may eat way more than the next. I just follow my body cues and it’s been working for me. You’re doing a fabulous job. Thanks again for all you do.
Snacking on any diet will stall your weight loss unless you are super active. I found that cheese, pork scratchings and any form of carnivore snack always ade me put weight on. Even too much butteer and bacon can make the foods hyperpallatable leading to overeating. The key with this change in lifestyle is about overcoming food addiction. If we merely replace macronutrients without addressing the addiction aspect we will have the same struggle to lose weight and get healthy. You are doing great, keep up the good work!

You're going to do great with this new relaxed strategy! When I was stressed in nursing school my body refused to give up any even ounces even when I slept well and was super strict on carnivore. Hang in there you're doing great! And I'm so excited about your cookbook!!!

I started Carnivore because I don't want to track anything. This is the only way to eat that I have found were I an not hungry. Yeah! But I do have cravings which suck. Chocolate.
My craving is gummy bears! Haribo Gold Bears to be exact! Lol!

Sounds like a really good plan! Take the stress out of eating and just enjoy yourself. ❤️ I will say this - PSMF makes me irritable and foggy. If you try it and it works for you, great! But try it mindfully and don’t feel like there’s something wrong with you if you don’t respond well to cutting fat.

I'm over the weight loss too. 100% strict carnivore, and I can't lose a pound past 255lbs. I've lost 17lbs, and I can't lose another pound. So, I'm just going to live my life. If weight loss happens, great. If not, I feel great! BTW, I've been Carnivore since 07/2023, so almost a year! I'm 46, and I guess my body just doesn't want to lose the weight.
I feel you! There’s a lot of other aspects that come into play other than food, hopefully addressing those while still eating all the good meats will be the ticket!

Most proteins contain growth promoters and antibiotics. The cleaner the meat, grass fed and finished, the 5x the amount of nutrients. I'm continuing to lose weight with cheeseburgers everyday. I have to keep it simple because I've been so busy.

In something over a year on carnivore I have stalled for three months twice, over all I have lost one hundred lbs though. I don't really lose much on carnivore even though I have messed with many aspects of the diet. In the end the only thing that takes the weight off for me is extended fasting. I usually don't have many issues with fasting since I am fat adapted, and if it gets to feeling to difficult I will stop for a few days and pick it up again. I can lose a lb a day when fasting.
I definitely want to incorporate more of that into my life. It works great for me as well
@@CourtneyLuna Yeah, I'm seventy eight hours in at the moment, no hunger pangs after the first twenty four.
Just do what you know is right without tracking and hyper focusing on the recording. Use that energy for feeling and being in the actual groove of life. Takes a Lot of focus and brainpower, so give yourself what you know you would need to optimize that. You probably have so many things to consider and do as a mom on top of taking care of kids/family throughout the day so it takes being able to hit the refresh on your brain constantly to focus on whatever task is in front of you while trusting that what you’ve already completed was more than good enough(don’t look back). Before you know it a week has gone by and are surprised by the fact that you lost weight during that time you weren’t actually worrying about it

Shopping videos, cooking videos, lots of variety in your videos and love your rants. I like what you’re doing now. It is what I had to start focusing on other things in my life besides carnivore. I have it down to science now and know what I eat and what I buy and time to, put Back some of my other interest into my life. I love foreign films, foreign TV series reading and especially love my German Shepherd that I spend a lot of time with. I need lots of variety in my life and it’s keeping me happier. And I have stopped focusing on food so much although I do more cooking than I’d like to do but again I like variety and I like and appreciate good meals, but I’m trying to keep them a little bit simpler with fewer ingredients and that has helped. Even though you’re much younger than I am, I thoroughly enjoy your videos so I hope you just keep on doing what you’re doing and for me and a lot of other people I know it’s totally about the health if I don’t lose the last 10 pounds which has been on my mind for the last 10 years it’s OK, I’ve never been happier and never been healthier though. I’m hoping I will even get more healthier as time goes by.

At least you have been able to lose weight 🙂 I haven’t been able to at all. I gained back the weight I had lost on keto. Have been doing carnivore for about 2 years. I have tried everything but nothing works. But I have had other great benefits so that’s why I keep going regardless of not losing weight. I guess my body will eventually let go of some weight whenever it’s ready and if not I’m ok with that 😊
People put WAY too much stress on themselves with eating! It shouldn't be a focus, but a necessity! Keep it brief and simple. I eat 5 eggs and 3 slices of bacon for breakfast at 1 or 2 pm. I make 2 or 3 thin sliced ribeyes on the grill and maybe some salmon or scallops, or chicken wings on the side. Or have lamb chops with fish or chicken. Done by 9p. I have a farm and am too busy doing stuff to think about meals and counting this and that. Our ancestors didn't. They just worked and ate what they could when they could. Too much variety and having to make choices causes stress, and interferes with the benefits of simply eating simple. I've lost 30 lbs as a result without trying. I don't go to a gym, but, I'm so poor I lost my vehicle and bike to my little jobs of taking care of elderly neighbors to keep them out of a nursing home. But, I am one 60 year old retired Respiratory Therapist. I don't have to feed a family, just cats, dogs, and chickens. My dogs and cats now benefit from my new carnivore knowledge. I pray you come to a place of peace in your journey!

It may not seem it to you, but you look like you’re at a really healthy weight! Maybe your body has reached homeostasis and just wants to stay at that weight.
I echo the advice of your coach and believe that taking a short break from tracking may allow your body the chance to relax and help you pay attention to your satiety signals.

Yes! Batch cooking is one of the tricks that keeps my sanity in tact. I cannot think about "whats for dinner" every night so having premade meals is a win!

I recently commented on one of your videos and I had mentioned that I've been carnivore since November. L O L! I just looked at my journal and I've been eating and living the carnivore lifestyle since September 2023. I have not lost weight. Actually, I've gained 2 pounds. I have, however, noticed differences in my health, my focus, and the fact that I'm losing inches. So I must be building muscle. I've been working out consistently and I've had no big cheat days. So I've been basically very strict with it since September. I was quite discouraged when I checked my weight on the scale at a friends house. One thing I do think I need to remove, sadly, is my heavy cream. I believe because it has carregenan and possibly other additives that it could be of my issue. Some of those things that they add do affect hormones in the body. So heavy cream, unless it is absolutely pure and raw, is out of the question from now on. I just want to focus on feeling good. I'm sure if I put the focus there and not on whether or not I'm fitting into smaller clothes or feel lighter, I think that it will naturally occur and I will lose weight.
I commend you for following your instincts and doing what you feel is best for 'you'. I think you are going to experience some positive changes my friend😉👏🏻👏🏻

No exaggeration, I think I drink 6-8 carbonated water drinks a day. It hits that fix I have of wanting to be consuming something, but essentially zero calories. Also fills my stomach and keeps me feeling full longer.

If you want to loose weight, eat with your circadian rhythm. Insulin is a circadian hormone and overstimulating it past 5pm is a mistake. Eat your biggest meal in the morning, ideally within 2-3 hours of waking up. For lunch, eat a medium sized meal, nothing bigger or close to breakfast and your smallest meal for dinner. Do it for 3 weeks then throw in a day of fasting (eat a big morning meal and fast for 24-36 hours). Do not under-eat fat else you’ll tank your hormones which can cause you to put on more weight.
The reason this works is because insulin is a circadian hormone and it’s most sensitive in the morning. After 5pm its sensitivity is greatly diminished and it becomes more resistant. Not eating after ideally 3pm is perfect but start with 5pm and then gradually work backwards to 3pm. You will eventually get to a place where you do just 2 meals a day.
Pro Tip: Download Circadian on the App Store to help you understand circadian rhythms better. Follow their directions and educate yourself more on how to eat with your circadian rhythm. It works magic.

I LOVE crossword puzzles, & have since I was a kid, the harder the better~ good for your brain & memory skills. Cooking has always been my hobby too, but eating this way has changed that a lot, obviously. Thinking about taking up sculpting w/clay...or maybe silver work, as in making jewelry~ so many options.=)

Stop worrying about loosing g weight it will come as time goes on remember you didn’t gain this weight overnight and it’s not going go away overnight. Continue to focus on keeping your carbs under 10 grams a day. I’ve been doing ketovore for the past year and lost over 100lbs and recently changed over too full time carnivore you got this don’t give up on your health. Your looking great

I don’t know how to say this nicely but I have noticed that your videos look like the camera lens needs to be wiped clear. There seems to be a faint haze on them. Besides that, I think you look great and it could take a year for this last bit of weight to come off ❤
I see no point in tracking macros on this diet (Carnivore). Eat meat.. plenty of meat. Salt. Water. Relax. It’s the best possible food to eat. BBBE. Tracking what I was eating drove me crazy over the years- and I’d quit very shortly after starting.. or forgetting to log things during the day. Either way,, tracking was a major PITA. Now that I’m carnivore, I track nothing. Every few weeks I may weigh myself.

My experience has been if I focus on health first, the weight loss happens on its own. Also, I highly recommend learning to play a guitar or ukulele as a hobby. If that interests you, I would be happy to offer you a few lessons just to try it out.

To lose weight on carnivore, you should eat more, not less. Don't track anything. Eat until you're full multiple times a day. NO DAIRY.

Tracking Macros.. I stopped doing that.. drives me nuts. I just eat meat til full. Maybe if you drop all dairy a few weeks or months.. just do BBBE water and salt. Dairy is gotta be the issue for you… but hey, you look great. But yeah, stop tracking .. too stressful

I think your body is in healing mode. I went through months and months where I stayed the same because my body had so much healing to do and then suddenly I just dropped 20 lb. I didn't even change anything. It just came off after my body was done with its healing.

It sounds like you are burned out on tracking food. I know where you are coming from. I wake up thinking about diet and go to sleep thinking did I do it right. I need to STOP and relax. Take a break from monitoring everything and just relax. From other carnivore masters, they do not track anything, they eat when hungry and do not when not hungry. I keep that in mind and try to listen to their instructions. Good Luck!
