Petition to help archive LittleBigPlanet's community levels:
    www.change.org/p/sony-release...
If you haven’t heard the news, Sony recently shutdown the online servers for Little Big Planet 3 on Play Station 4. Nowadays, video game server shutdowns are unfortunately way more common to see, especially with older games from the PS3 and now even PS4 era.
This server closure in particular though was pretty devastating to see unfold. It felt like a slap in the face to fans who invested countless hours on LBP over the past decade and a half.
There were signs pointing towards the game’s eventual shutdown such as an increase in more malicious server exploits, but the way PlayStation handled it was just straight up awful.

The thing that pisses me off the most was how sudden and disrespectful it was. If they had to shut down the servers, they atleast could've archived all the levels that were on people's earths. Literally 10,000,000+ user-created levels are now pretty much lost media. Thank you Sony.

  • @SackthingPSFive

I want to live in a timeline where the LBP servers never got shut down

  • @Dat_Guy-IsCool

The worst part is that LBP is still POPULAR. Even Xbox and Nintendo fans know who sackboy is, and their only way on capitalizing on that was a spinoff that doesn't even have a create mode? I will never understand sony...

  • @felixdeplanques3614

The game was so fun and unique, yet Sony didn't care about the creativity of hundreds of thousands of people worldwide and decided to shut it all down in the most disrespectful way possible !

  • @Mrbeene480

    r.i.p lbp my childhood:(

  • @ThaneTheDrell

LittleBigPlanet is like a heart, and Sony just tearing apart through your body. Or a gear that makes machine function, and Sony is removing it.

  • @user-zs8qu2pu6g

sony pulled a LittleBigFinger on us

  • @MarioFanVideos

LBP is literally the heart of PlayStation. But due to PlayStation being scummy, they decide to demolish this wonderful franchise... It was my childhood. And now it's vanished from the PlayStation series forever.

  • @PerfectedVenus_Monsoon

I remember growing up on LBP. It was the first game that introduced me to games in general, and I made friends I still talk to 15 years later. It hurts watching my childhood game crumble to dust...

Sony didn’t know what they had with LittleBigPlanet, there’s so much potential with the franchise. I also find it a shame that the LBP servers didn't have a good sendoff, and I wish Sony gave us more time to say our goodbyes to the servers before they shut them down.

  • @Trashedaccount123

RIP to all 100 escape Jeff the Killer and Mortal Kombat levels 😢

  • @TylerMcNamer

    Nintendo murdered Splatoon.

  • @subtolyubthepro

over the past few years we had no choice but to watch this game die, this game had a unfortunate end, the amount of creativity and charm this game had was something simply astonishing, all the old levels I had made, all the good friends I met, the memories of this game will simply ever die, this is truly an End Of An Era to the millions of people who played this game

  • @Melodic-Vortex

It's just disgusting, & really depressing to think about. The worst part is, Sony is responsible for LBP3's failure, yet they just think it's because no one gave a crap about the games anymore.

  • @Icedragon-hf4nv

To put into perspective how much this series means to me, because of meeting one friend on lbp3.. I have met more of his friends and made new friends with this man. We made a friend group chat of us five. It’s been almost a whole decade since then and there is almost no day that goes by where all of us don’t at least talk for hours. 2 of my buddies (including my little big buddy) are graduating this year, 2 other friends are looking to be promoted to manager of their respective jobs, and I’m getting my first job soon while on the waiting list to be an electrician. Thank you little big planet for literally changing my life.

  • @purgat0rian

i do hope media molecule realizes they're fucked as a company if they don't make another lbp game.

  • @yomioni-7965

If this franchise ever came back it needs to be a launch title for a new console. The game deserves a console life of support

  • @bob_smite

I think this is the fundamental problem with LBP and Dreams. With Valve games, anyone can make a server if they are willing and able. Worlds are saved as files on the PC. With MediaMolecule games, yeah, it's easier and accessible to make levels, but the User Generated Content doesn't stay long.

  • @bruce1947

Incredibly depressing. I knew this was coming and it still hit me so much harder than i could've ever imagined. So many memories just gone at the same time. Despite having played on Beacon servers for over a year, this is still incredibly heartbreaking and i very much hope archival efforts are successful. It is nice how together this community has felt in the last couple days though, really brings me back.

  • @SUPERLEAF002

It really made me realize how much influence corporations have on our childhoods.
