Always Forward

Always Forward, a Rising Act film, follows the story of Ninah, a Congolese refugee, and her young daughter, as they navigate a new life in the United States. Ninah learned job readiness skills and grew her confidence as a student in Northern Virginia Family Service's (NVFS) Training Futures program and built a new life for herself and her family. Ninah is portrayed in the film by Christelle Awa, also an NVFS Training Futures graduate.
