I’m 8 years late but I am just dumbfounded at how huge this world is, I’ve gotten so used to the sims 4 and its scarcity I forgot how big the worlds used to be
Truly a tragedy, isn't it? Hopefully if they ever do Sims 5 they'll un-fuck it up.

I tried Sims 4 and went back to Sims 3 because I just couldn't let go of the open world. It's so immersive

@@pyrix Tragedy is the perfect word. TS3 was a tragedy since next to no one could play it for years and TS4 is a even bigger tragedy follow up since there is nothing actually to play and the game is ugly as all hell ...
TS2 is still my favorite, even tho dated it still have life in it. TS3 the open world and actual content makes it worth something but yeah it had a rough start of some years and the online store content was absurd. TS4 is just pointless, I pretend it doesn't exist and as of writing this TS franchise is long dead anyway.
There wont be no TS5, at least not by EA. Other games might fill in the shoes however sadly yeah, this franchise is done.
I really want to play this town but force everyone to use horses, fill all the premade houses with NPCs that have trained horses as their transport. Plant Medival gear on them. Do artisan things like sculpting, pottery... activities like archery... keep everything low tech. Maybe do some artifact collecting expeditions to the holiday locations, some of the china/france things could fit in quite nicely. Fermenting wine and keeping a vinyard would totally work.
Wonder if I can take my future horse on vacation...
You could play The Sims Medieval. There are some annoying bugs but it's a good game. Sadly no horses.
Dragon Valley might be up your alley.
i mean at least in monte vista you don't have to wait for a loading screen to get anywhere...
Unlike other European towns in certain sims games, not mentioning any Windenburgs, I mean names.
I listen to LGR's voice as I try to fall asleep at night. Makes me relaxed. I have no idea why. He is so sarcastic and rude. Dr. Lecter would feast on his tongue :)
vital essi been doing the same thing for years. Him and PUR are the only people I watch on RUclips. They are also the best way I have to beat insomnia.

this town is awesome, still playing it since sims 4 sucks. i added diving spots and skyscrapers, giving it a nice feel of island, old city, modern town feeling. it kind of sums up all the nice features of sims, it even has islands.
EA really need to pay you.

Well yeah, of course I do. The Sims is one of my favorite game series period, which is why I continue to play and buy all the expansions. But that doesn't mean I can't point out things I think are overpriced or just crap when they come along :)
That's basicly what Europe looks like. You have a town build around a castle and then you have countryside, lots and lots of countryside.
I could see myself using this town a lot if I ever bought it. I'm european, so I grew up in a country that looks like that (but with a nothern look instead of a southern look) so I don't really see a medieval town. Just regular old Europe with modern people :)

I admit I got kind of sneaky, I sold one of my old sims 3 expansion packs online and used the money I got from that to buy monte vista. Sims recycling is best recycling.
Thank god we can now download these store contents for free. Thats why I loved playing Sims3 the last few days. Even the laggs are gone.

I build my own PCs to the best specs I can afford, pretty simple :) The specifications of said computer are in the video description.

I bought Hidden Springs and Monta Vista (Both in a game box) at Future Shop for 19$ :) I know that they sell that bundle as well in Target and Walmart for the same price! I recommend it! You get the Fire stove and the chocolate fountain ^_^

I was planning to come back to TS3 soon, wondering which town to play in - and then this pops up in my suggested videos^^ In general, I share your preference for more centralized maps, but this one is dufficiently unique to make me forget about that, at least for a while.

Haven't really considered it, as games and computers are my passion. Though I like movies and music and could probably snark my way through it, I just don't have the drive to do so like I do with games.
The sims are amazing! They were really the first game franchise I got addicted to! My favorite LGR episode ever is the maxis collection. I never get tired of hear you talking about the sims or anything maxis! Have you seen or heard tell of the simcity box that is available at target? It's like a bunch of simcity stuff all together in one package. Would you consider doing an episode on that?
Well Bibliothek is German for library, which is pretty close to the Italian biblioteca. But I don't know why they out German into an Italian looking town for an Italian looking building.

This has a very medieval feel, and I also like the look of Rome on the city.
i was looking for their festival grounds. i did not find it. i tried to put one on the lot but i was unable to.
i hope EA sells a copy of the game where all of the expansion and stuff are included at a very very discounted price,that way many people will buy it and enjoy it to the fullest.

If I may ask, how do you manage to get your game to run so smoothly when you have so much stuff in your game? Powerhouse of a computer? I've got almost all of the store content, all expansions, and two stuff packs, and my computer has problems with occasionally freezing every five or so seconds. Got nraas mods, s3pe, and CCMaker, which has helped significantly, but I guess I'm more curious to know how your game runs like it does.
Any links to your comp/game setup?
I like how they have a feature for the cane where the sim can yell out, "I'm Going to Rule the World!!"

Hey LGR, do you think you could maybe put a list of worlds you'd recommend on a future description?
The stuck animation is usually associated with stuck vehicles and stuff. I had to install a mod to delete those stuck cars. it makes the game smooth again.
When there are games or concerts happening are the open stadium thingy, do you see stuff happening or does it just stay the same? Because if it did stay the same, it would look really odd..
