I like your relaxed style. Some people are too obsessed with this game. Keep forging your way!

I learned to use event production buildings for event’s production quests. Beach bars & cider gardens are the best. You can pick them up often from antique dealer. Witch doctors are also decent but you can’t use supply rush items on them. Those small event buildings save space and can efficiently be used for completing current/previous age productions. Overall event buildings have become much better and more efficient. Often combining goods and bonuses. The GB Virgo project is controversial. Though it’s useful to get through though fights with much lower bonuses and you don’t even have to level it to level 80. At level 45 it’s already virtually at its greatest potential. As it can remove 4 units of the 1st wave, when combined with kraken it’s 5 enemy units less to fight. Making the 1st wave of though fights very easy to win. Which is very useful for GE lvl5

Interesting tips. :) I had long ago stopped thinking about virgo. But i can see where it might really help in ge5, where i can fight well at all right now. I'll poll my guild too for their opinions. Thanks!

Your base looks very well progressed, however the double lane roads and terrace farms along with some other buildings in your world are extremely inefficient. I suggest you replace the terrace farms with other event buildings and as those goods from the buildings stack up, you can get rid of the double lane roads and goods buildings and disconnect the military buildings from roads as you have a traz :)

There is indeed much room for upgrading! I need to get more event buildings. I planted several more after making this video. But still, I have more space than I have good buildings to fill them. I just learned about "Tower of Champions" in GBG, which didn't exist when I hit the pause button in september. I really keen to get one or more of those! Also there's several GBs I'm considering. Such as Blue Galaxy, which I probably should have built years ago.

I agree. Other games i've done have much better interaction. Too much of the game is individual; so, the social aspect is not great........ The grind's a prob, but I like figuring how to optimize progress. My cities & GBs grow very fast (eg, 1st Arc 0-80 in five weeks) cuz I"ve found all the shortcuts. But, once I've figured the whole game out (I've been playing four months), my interest wanes

I've just quit forge again. Admittedly for the 3rd time, but I really don't think I'll be back. I was away from it for two week due to work business/travel, and I really didn't miss it. Any recommendations for games with a good social side?

@@TedRandomGamingChannel I think Rise of Kingdoms is more social: it requires closer cooperation. So, you end up chatting on discord with your mates.

Some guilds use discord to make communication better.

I've been playing for about 7 years (?) off and on. Something like that. I keep saying I'm quitting FOE but then a new event comes out and I play for the event to get whatever the collectable is. I don't do guilds or anything like that anymore. To me it's pretty boring. And they haven't really updated the game at all to significantly up the experience. Once I get through Space Age Titan, gonna hang it up.

I think the most basic piece of advice is that there's many ways to enjoy playing this game -- fighting, farming, GE, GBG, great buildings, tech tree. Find a way that of playing that you enjoy, and don't let anyone else tell you how you "should" play the game. That way might change over time, as it did for me. Second, find a good, friendly, guild that supports you in playing your style.
