Ya'll seem curious, so here's a story for ya:
The movie Scout was watching was M, the tape he pinched from Medic. M is a German mystery thriller starring Peter Lorre in his breakout role and is the very first talkie by legendary expressionist film director Fritz Lang, who also directed the landmark science fiction epic Metropolis.
M tells a very dark story about a serial killer who hunts children and the ongoing manhunt after him. The film is significant for being sited as a major influence on early procedural dramas and American noir films and is seen as a precursor to both genres. I've never seen it myself, but it's been on my to-do list for a long, long time.
It’s a great film! Totally watch it when you’re able to!
Watched it and my mom's head popped off. Greatly recommended, 100% immersion
Its amazing
Just checked recently, M is up on youtube in full and free
Ok so firstly, Emesis is a medication that causes hallucinations and the medication fritz was taking was supposed to remove them, but it was revealed at the end it was just a label. I’ve also heard a story where M is referencing medic as a murderer and it also appears everywhere so it’s reminding him. Also, the coffin with medic in it had 7/9 candles lit, which means he used 7 of his 9 artificially given lives. Medic then uses one to respawn from Russian roulette, which is why fritz and doe knew he was able to leave because of his artificially given lives. Medic then gets overdosed by Emesis and blacks out in the car ride and then dies for the final time and won’t be making it out again. After Conager Slaughterhouse was taken down however, even if someone did want to respawn they could no longer respawn anymore. The suitcase however, I would assume had something to do with the respawn machine and the test subject at the start as it was vibrating very fast, like the test subject at trial 3. It can also be assumed that it is a reference to SCP 5000’s suitcase. Emesis blue made many references and I wouldn’t be surprised if this was one of them. Wow I typed so much uhhh thanks for reading lmao have fun sleeping after the horror film
Fun fact!
In scout's file, it is said his name is Jeremy E.
In TF2 canon, scout's last name is still unknown, however there is someone who is comparable to the scout who the name fits
Jeremy Elbertson
Aka
Jerma985
Oh yeah. It's all coming together baby.
its confirmed, the voice actor of scout was the one that named the scout, and he claims to have named it after jerma
That makes Spy Jerma's dad

God: SEE YOU IN 1987!
According to the "Emesis Diazepam" trailer they released over a year ago, it causes the following side effects: Drowsiness, Memory Loss and Visual/Auditory hallucinations.
On another note, I really love this movie. I rewatched it so many times since it released that I stopped counting, this is definently one of the best sfm animations ever made.
The drug is probably given so the users forget the pain they feel on failed respawns and the eternity between respawns
@@baconboi4482 That's a good theory
No those are the effects of schizophrenia
Ironic that a drug that contains the words "Emesis" does not have vomitting as a side effect
@@goofy--cracker-suckerand the effects of the diazepam.
I think it’s safe to say that the soldier turned out to be best character in this movie whereas the spy is the worst due to the amount of times he’s pinning everything on his partner AND trying to lie about killing both fritz and Jules
I mean... You think that the detective or AKA police like spy and soldier are (surprisingly fits soldier) spy is the blame but he can't admit. It's like you broke something and you blame it on another, in which case, it's his fault for racking his car
He's also consistently a dumbass before becoming a villain
for reminders who's fritz and jules again
@@sniper7303 fritz is the medic, jules is the politic
@@wutertots1487 aka the Civilian from TFC as well as the cut TF2 class
Glad you loved it. Hands down one of the best, if not the best, TF2 SFM. Spy’s Disguise follows second for me personally.
Funny considering they are both made by the same creator.
It has to be the best. End of the line can't be beaten though.
@@Jaster0303 The End of the Line was good, but it didn’t make me think the way Emesis Blue did. That goes without mentioning that it had official support from Valve, while Emesis Blue is fully fan-made, and one is 15 minutes, while the other is 2 hours. I think it’s time for another SFM to inherit the position of the best TF2 SFM so far.
Amen
Spies disguise was honestly a banger
Emesis Blue is sometimes like Interstellar tbh. Medic is behind the curtains, can knock them over, all that.
Cooper in interstellar, is behind his daughter's bookshelf. He knocks books down, screws with the watch for morse code.
I think they might have inspired from that movie, i think, they definitely did as for some other stuff. The burned face spy, shooting themselves around a table, spies speech with lies, its from a batman movie and the last restroom scene etc. All from other movies. Dont take this wrong pls, i lıve emesis blue and i watched it 3 times.
@@zombine7103 yeah
I genuinely believe that the team behind this movie deserve to get not only professionally hired, but be the ones to call the shots in their fields. I don’t think it’s unfair to think that it’s all downhill from here.
Yeah!! For sure, if they can do this, they do deserve the shot callers.
a lot of the scenes looks like they were taken from a tarantino movie or something like that, this team is beyond talented. They need to have a place in the bigger media like hollywood.
@@Daiyamaruu Don't let the Hollywood wormhole consume them and spit them out, I'd rather want them to still be an indie team but hopefully with some actual backing
@@InitiateDee yeah i know hollywood is mostly built of crap people, i'm saiyng that in the meaning of they need more recognition. A project like this deserves to break the bubble of the tf2/sfm community, because it's better than most blockbusters out there nowadays and it was made by an indie team. It deserves the spolight it's all i'm saying
@@Daiyamaruu Definitely, it deserves to get out there
Fun fact: This film is connected to another film made by fortress film named “Spy’s disguise” which you reacted to years ago, and yes, dell did die, the respawn machine was turned off, so people in that war died forever.
Oh yeah just to let you know Spy’s Disguise is somewhat tied to this. It’s ending so happens to occur before Emesis Blue’s ending and they hinted Emesis blue in one of the tapes in Spy’s Disguise’s ending when Ludwig filmed his procedure on Spy(infused with engineer stuff)
Wouldn’t spy’s disguise, wait no.. but engie breaks the respawn machine, but they killed the Mann brother here, so the war would have stopped, wait why would engie break the respawn machine he’s a conhager. I don’t think this timeline makes cohesive sense.
@@wiggle143 well not all questions are answered, and FortressFilm hasn’t given us any straight answers. So we are left to our own imaginations and theories. Though I feel like there are things being retconned or something :/
@@DoYouOne-Na-SitExtra are they gonna make something that ties into this movie or is this really it ? :/ because so many questions
@@wiggle143there's some weird timeline stuff going on but they're definitely connected because of the phone call Engineer had about Dustbowl
@@wiggle143well, that was why Dell is dead in this
I love that Medic was given the spotlight here, you only see small animations that have him as the main character and those animations are great, but Emesis blue....man,this is just a masterpiece
17:02 It's always funny seeing Wrath and the gang get unsettled by something.
18:22 I just realized Medic got a nosebleed. Didn't notice that watching this the first time.
38:57 Genuine fear baby. From all of them.
1:07:17 Ja Rocker, du hast es richtig gemacht.
1:13:47 That looks like most of the major cities in the western US on that board. I see Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Salem, Helena, what I assume is Albuquerque, Cheyenne, and Denver, and then there's Chicago, Pittsburgh, and Albany on the other side of the country.
1:14:36 And you can see the red dots disappearing in the background.
1:14:44 And apparently the Tenth Class was the poor guy at the start.
1:17:35 Note that the nervous system is installed, and assumingly activated at the same time, meaning Scout was able to feel himself being brought back, and then die a second time.
1:18:17 And not all of that is blood. Apparently that is the remains of Scout's *LIQUEFIED REMAINS! WHICH HE CONSCIOUSLY FELT BEING DESTROYED!*
1:18:28 And now there's a big blue dot on the eastern seaboard. Then when we next get to see the big map, there's a blue dot glowing in Russia, and another in Southeast Asia.
1:26:47 Remember his scene with the Engineer? Apparently that was a dream he had while dying in there.
1:43:36 I think it's the Scout put in the respawn machine, or the rabid one.
1:46:10 Hatless, there's a reason that this Heavy is called *Stalingrad*
1:49:58 Implying that Archibald and Blutarch had a hand in the Kennedy assassination.
1:53:54 Anyone else think Medic's face looks rather gaunt? He looked a bit like this when he resurrected the first time after Connagher shot him.
2:02:28 Remember what Scout said at the start, his teeth falling out?
1:18:17 *Fucked. Up.* How did you find that out?
1:53:54 Also yeah, I did notice that. I don’t know why he looks that way, maybe it’s just to appear creepier.
@@bing_crystal4831 I read a lot of stuff on the TVtropes wiki, turns out Emesis Blue has its own section.
@@sonofjack6286 Dang, I’m gonna have to see if I can find that
@@bing_crystal4831 well remember how they found his body all brunt and he didn't survive or, anything could survive being in a hot and unfortunately hell fire that medics body was, especially the scene where he self healed
@@average-art3222 Yeah that’s probably likely
I always figured during the end in Dell's Bar it's like purgatory or a kind of hell. As you can see all 3 Conagher Bros there, and Archibald and even Scout who greets him. So I figured Medic is already dead (Car crash) and is in hell with everyone that died.
Exactly what i thought
actually yeah that fits with how demoman also was in Dell’s bar when he died from or was slowly succumbing to hypothermia and they were talking about purgatory
@@vb4596 I actually thought demoman was in heaven lol, but i guess we could call it an afterlife place where heaven and hell is in one place. But i mainly believe that place is some kind of hell
@@vb4596 But also, what gets me is what was with the phone that Conagher brother pulled out when Ludwig went to the bathroom?
At first I thought he would be contacting the police or something.
And then the door knocking made me think the police were there to arrest Ludwig so he was taking the “Valium” to kill himself instead. Only to later crash his car…
But then what was that for if it really is purgatory or hell or whatever?
I wonder if Dell has any involvement with this, after all he’s been the engineer for both blu and red plus Mann co. He might’ve had a hand in the respawning machines, and if so, maybe that sheds some light as to why he seemingly appears before someone dies?
Imagine this on a cinema screen
It deserves to be there. A LOT more than some of the shit Hollywood puts out these days.
No.
@@Zilly. yes.
Yes@@Zilly.
Weird fact: Emesis means vomiting. Why a pharmaceutical company would call themselves that is beyond me.
I actually saw the film Scout was watching for a movie class; "M" refers to a chalk dusted mark left by a homeless person on the child murderer to identify him later on.
53:30 I only now realized that that water and flickering might have been soldier’s illusions
He did tell a story where water was up to his ankles in the war
A place we just saw
There are no illusions from soldier, Remember he didnt take the emesis pills (he told that to spy) so that's why he lived because he didnt take it. So technically he's the least sane.
I assume after medic crashed the ambulance in the ending (you can see his eyes and mouth fucked up) he was respawned again of sorts, and then killed scouts mum. Part of me is wondering if that's really true though, because yes, we do see medic all fucked up above scouts mum with an axe when medic does his interstellar drug trip, but near the beginning when we actually see scouts mums head drop, it pans over to where scouts looking, and it looms like pyro's mask.
Edit: Ok so I've come to a new thought. Both pyro and medic from the future were there at scouts, medic came back to life after the crash and killed scouts mother, while pyro kidnapped scout. It would explain why we see pyro there, as well as someone else holding scout's mothers head around the corner (Plus he does this with pyros head to sniper). It also helps to explain seeing medic over scout's mums body during medics interstellar trip and why scout wishes he had a gun to shoot him.
2nd Edit: WOW ok, WHY am I only jsut now realising these obvious details. It doesn't show it but it implies it and I somehow completely missed it like an idiot. Spy believes the briefcase belongs to medic only because the hearse they were tracking went to Purgatory st, where the cops body was stuffed in a bin. Scout presumably lives very close to there , and thus why spy and soldier are at scouts doing an investigation. They come to the conclusion medic committed the murder and think that medic was also the one in the black hearse. As for why medics hands are bloody, is noticeable to the point im ashamed in myself for missing it. All it was, is that the knocking medic heard was the injured cop spy was asking questions to. Medic got knocked out, presumably woke up and attacked the cop, severly injuring him in the process.
SPOILERS
at 15:30 "I'll see you soon" from the medic could very well be elluding to him having succumbed to his mental problems, and possibly killing scout's mom
edit: also a bit before 47:34 the first two clicks of spy's pistol could've been elluding to the two bullets not going off before the third when they play russian roulette
I don't think it was medic that killed scout's mom since we can see the pyro at the last few frames holding a fire axe
@@bigmannn2443but if you look closer at the scene, there were actually two people there. Someone was holding the head, but when Scout turned, Pyro was standing there.
@scottvgamer1163 how can medic be there if he arrived after the kidnapping of scout and his dead mom's scene
Fun Fact:
This Movie Takes Place In 1968 & The Valium Pills Was Originally Named "The Emesis Diazepam" And The Emesis Diazepam Was In 1963, So It Was Expired 4 Years Ago Before This Movie Takes Place In 1968 & That's Why It Caused All The Deaths
And The Cross That Medic/Ludwig Wears Is A Reference To "Spy's Disguise" By Fortress Films, The Creator Of Emesis Blue, When BLU Spy Was Revived By BLU Engie, The BLU Medic From Emesis Blue Shown Up With The Same Cross In Emesis Blue
Thanks To TF2 RUclipsr "TheWhat Show" For That Information!
I was genuinely surprised by how horrorific this whole SFM film was, genuinely blown away it was almost 2 hours long
Ending may be pretty grim but I like how in the end medic still gets some sort of closure by being able to speak with scout again, whether it just be in his head or in a sort of limbo between life and death. I also really like this one theory that I saw in the comments that said that maybe what was inside the briefcase could be a sort of portable version of the respawn machine, notice how everytime medic gets revived its always when he is in close proximity to the briefcase
There were a lot of references in this. M is a movie from 1931 about a child murderer in Berlin, the stairway pit fall scene is from The House That Jack Built, the heavy is literally just Mr. X from Resident Evil, the bloody respawn is the bloody elevator from the shining, not 100% sure about Pyro but probably something around Lights Out and The Hills Have Eyes, Demoman’s bar scene is from the shining, not sure about the engineers but maybe THHE, Medic is pretty much just Jekyll and Hyde , you already know Detective Columbo otherwise what the hell are you.
Spy called himself and his partner Detective Mannix and Detective Columbo so we got references to 2 classic detective TV shows. And of course the arc lines "It's eternity in there" and "It's longer than you think" are from Stephen King's short story The Jaunt
im pretty sure Medic got revived a bunch of times by the Respawn Machine, explains why he keeps becoming more and more creepy and psychotic each time he comes back from death.
Valium can cause muscle movements, being more active or talkative, sudden and severe changes in mood or behavior, confusion, hallucinations, seizures, or thoughts about suicide
Good lord. Then why take it?
@@wrath2501 it can relieve excessive worry, shortness of breath or heavy perspiration, feelings of edginess, and difficulty sleeping due to anxiety. Valium can also be used to treat alcohol withdrawal, seizures, muscle spasms, or as a relaxing agent before medical procedures.
I think the black beak mask Dude was a Representation of the Angel of Death, Who follows the Mercenaries is About to Die.
That's why nobody else can see him. Or is just an Mindtrick as consequense of they're PTSD they have.
To anyone who knows wrath in person or is friend on any social media tell him that there is going to be a white spy EP 2 coming out but I love this video it's awesome really well detailed I watched it and I got chills that's how I like it if it gives me chills then it was really good
Thanks for the update. :)
So agree too
My theory on why medic was able to survive so many deaths was because when he first entered the slaughter house, he had his medipack. But it got destroyed when the door near the stairs was broke. I believe that the medipack breaking while on his back may have caused whatever is in it to become one with Medic, allowing him to regenerate for some time.
As much as I like yer theory it think him surviving death is prolly based on his passive in game that gives him health over time or it's based on medic actually having 9 lives
@@DiskRan0 Maybe that’s how they explain Medic’s regenerative capabilities? 🤔
Or it also could be because of the respawn machine. This whole movie is surrounded by what happened to it and how the rest of the team and everyone involved 8s affected by it
@@DiskRan0 could also have been a nod to the official lore where medic goes to hell when he dies but because he somehow has 9 souls he cheats the devil and just revives,
@@Fennalope
I think a big theme in this movie is that a lot of the things that seem supernatural are actually not. Most of the hallucinations and "time-loops" are just effects of schizophrenia, feelings of paranoia and "deja-vu".
The plauge doctor is NOT super-natural, since soldier actually took a picture of him, and we see his black car parked outside the slaughterhosue.
I believe the plauge-doctor is actually just the RED Medic. The same RED Medic that got trashed by the Heavy after reviving him. Note how BLU Medic never gets possesed after the red one is killed. I think the blackout episodes are their personalities/souls merging together (hence the red/blue eyes).
After all, they were originally the same person. Red medic became (or remained?) a psychopathic mad scientist, while BLU medic became a (relatively) good man who actually practised medicine and had compassion. The possession brings up the idea, of
"what happens when two clones (in body AND soul) go on seperate paths and become different people? One good, one evil".
As for how he survived the shotgun blast. I think it was literally just pure luck. The bullet would have gone through his healing pack, allowing the healing chemical to leak out and save him from the brink of death. In "meet the medic" we see that the healing beam literally heals clothes and everything instantly, almost like it reverses time. If Engineer would have shot him in the head, he wouldn't have come back right there. Instead he would have respawned somewhere else.
I can also explain how Medic survived to the funeral. When he shot himself during Spy's game, he died. But... he was then respawned (with some slight file corruption, making him look pale and fucked up like Sniper). That shot we see later on of Medic emerging from a burning respawn room happened right after he died. He then managed to make it out before the whole place burned to the ground, to plan his revenge on Spy.
if anyone is curious, M is the name of one of the first German sound films, it's a German Expressionism film, it's a murder movie about a man that kills children, it's from 1920 or so.
so the M in emesis blue means Murderer?
Basically
@@viktorreznov2386 I think the M movie means a lot more than we think. I guess scout made a mistake by stealing this vhs tape beacause when he played it and watched it at home crazy shit happened and to the rest of the film we see these werid M letters.
If you watch what is playing on the vhs, it’s actually part of the old 1920s german film, watched it a few days ago
@@viktorreznov2386 ye, the movie that plays on vhs is actually the M movie
I was lucky enough unintentionally to watch Emesis Blue as the premiere went live
Gotta say it was a doozy, easily one of the best if not the best sfm out there. I hope I am able to do something similar later on
Love your content m8 oh keep it up
That is creeping me out. When TF2 become creepy and serious like this, that makes me feel stressful.
I love how you and your friend become insane after when soldier and demoman talked to each other.
From what the video is about, I feel like they are trying to say that the "Respawn" system is really a cloning machine that transfers the conscience of the original to the next body via space-time manipulation. However, the cloning process is not perfect, and there are rare cases of bodies developing mutations, previous bodies reviving on their own, and mental complications like split personalities, insanity, memory loss, and other mental health problems. However, these issues went unresolved for so long and now they are dealing with a malfunctioning machine and its "corrupted".
I recommebd watching thewhatshows video essay on it.
Really useful in trying to figure out this mind melting puzzle of an sfm.
*Plot Twist:* Blutarch Mann and Redmond Mann wasn't killed by Gray Mann, *But by Blu Medic and Soldier* LMAO LOL.
And the Blu Soldier is the only one who lived.
I sat down and watched this whole thing on my own and holy fuck it was such a roller coaster
All the twist and turns has me visibly gasping
This was so well put together and made
I seriously doubt that there will be a sequel because one’s not needed but I really hope that we get another movie-like production from the creator
Give this man an Oscar or whatever directors get for cinema because they deserve it
I think there's a very high chance for a sequel. Spy's Disguise is the precursor to Emesis, and they leave the story really open-ended. Maybe, maybe not but I feel like if it's held to the same standard as Emesis Blue, a sequel could be amazing.
Hey at least it wasn’t me, I watched it in pitch black, alone at night all by myself in the house which was fucking terrifying.
Good news they announced a sequel a year ago called murder INC :D
Wrath2501, The Movie was in production right after 'Spy's Disguise.' Like this Movie was being made for 5 Years straight. The first trailer of 'Emesis Blue' was 2018. I couldn't believe it took this Movie 5 years in the making.
Who ever was voicing, medic, scout, and soldier, really matched Robin, Nathan, and Rick while compensating for the serious and dark tone of the film.
if you pay close attention the bathroom at dell's bar uses the same colour palete the bar in demoman's meeting with purgatory Dell. (the theory is that Dell is dead) the two engies in conagar slaughterhouse were his older brothers. you can see one of them playing piano and the other watching in Medic's version of Dell's bar.
This DESERVES MORE LIKES
THIS IS THE BEST SFM EVER
The error Medic did with the respawn console actually did cause the flow of blood, and you can hear Scout banging and screaming before the door opened
Medic turned Ol'Jeremy into Scout Slushie
Edit: Also, I like how even as horrifying as this film is,the Mann Brothers are still as goofy and idiotic as they are in the original game
Bro this movie. It’s like mixed with No Country For Old Men, resident evil, SCPs, and final destination. This was amazing.
The scout at 50:22 is not a loadout, they merged scout’s model with an American soldier from Day of Defeat: Source (which were the models used at the beginning inside the respawn machine)
the movie manages to maintain tension even during the obvious references
the way he stares at soldier in near end is so fucking scary bro,its a literally dead body with no soul looking at you.
Emesis Diazepam Is uhh A forgotten or cancelled product made my Archibald . What It does to the characters is to fully heal them to 3 - 6 hours that's why medic lived and then died
And the brief case is the respawn's main core. That's why it doesn't work . And makes the soldiers Blind and Crazy
But how can we go on from here? So much is still unanswered. We know how Hollywood develops 10 years of movies at once. They've must have atleast something of the next part done already. They released the trailer for emesis blue a year in advance. Maybe since they've grown so much after this, they'll feel encouraged and atleast give a more rushed of a update. Just thank God it's not the real valve.
bitter irony, the conagher that was called "dumbass" died in a totally reasonable way, and put up a fight, but the one who called him dumbass died stupidly and with no resistance
WARTH, the engineer at the bar is dell, and his eyes are missing for seemingly no reason., but if you looked in the background you'd see 1 engineer playing piano, "Mannard" and one smoking, "zed" zed is the engi from the slaughterhouse that died to a shotgun and tortured scout, Mannard is the fat one who died to getting beat in hand to hand, since they're all 3 brothers, it'd make sense for them to be chillin at dell's bar together
This was trully a great, GREAT I SAY, addition to the tf2 community. I'm writting this before watching, I'm really excited to see your reaction to this. I'll be back after watching.
Edit 1: 2:26 I was thinking the same thing right before you said it. I only rememberd the year this was going on during my video because of the "one number before 1969 lol"
Edit 2: 16:10 If you had your subtitles the scene would be even creepier. The scene building here in on another level.
Edit 3: 16:40 You can see the exact moment Wrath getting truly scared.
Edit 4: 28:54 "X Gon' Give it To Ya," starts playing on the background
Edit 5: 34:41 I just noticed that Soldier's lips don't move while he is talking in this scene. Damn. Didnt noticed that before...
Edit 6 51:44 You can see, again, the moment Wrath notices something is going on
Edit 7 56:54 I feel the same. I get super frustraded when people down shoot for the head when there are slow zombies.
Edit 8 1:04:26 This scene goes a long way with spy. When he threatned Soldier and Soldier asked if he ever shot his own before and if he learned that from Archibald, this was probaly the flashback that went on Spy's mind in the fraction of a second. Spy didn't learn from Archibald, he was always like this.
Edit 9: 1:02:27 Wrath.exe needs new pants
Edit 10 1:23:14 That face shows it all about whats going on inside Wrath's face
Edit 11 1:31:44 After thoses 3 scenes with Archibald I'm really curious to see what would be the correct cronological order. To me it's very obvious that he used the respawn machine after killed. But when and who truly killed him is the correct question.
Edit 12 1 32:30 There are 9 chairs in that room pointed to the screen. Soldier is in one of them, further showing that soldier was in the respawn-program
Edit 13 1:37:16 "You're gonna make it, Fritz" and "I know" really add a whole new level of mistery if we consider the theory that this is all planned out at this point. Medic already had messed with the respawn machine at this point.
Edit 14 1:39:15 Probaly theses are the empty soldier bodies that are left behind when the soul respawn.
Edit 15 2:01:06 We can see all of the Engie Brothers
Edit 16 This moment is where "the other medic" comes to surface. We can see by Archibald smile that they know each other. The lack of reflection on the mirror is to show that this medic doesnt have a soul.
They don't make horror like this anymore
This is almost like a cosmic horror movie.
That's the same blu medic from Spy's Disguise. He had the same cross from when he was in the confession booth
Someone needs to make an explained video for Emesis Blue after...
(SPOILER)
Soldier saves the one armed Demoman and that point on it lost me.
Best horror sfm i... i have literally ever seen, this needs to get an award bc i was actually a lil terrified so its really nice u made this vid and could watch your reaction!
A 2 hour video long? This one wasn't easy to react and upload.
Never saw this SFM myself nor heard about it so it's gonna be fun to watch it with you Wrath.
Not sure if you caught one of the recurring themes in this film, but I suspect this is what happens in-between Respawns.
It's Longer Than You Think.
20 fucking seconds to respawn wasn't long enough?
Longest 20 Seconds of my life
Soldiers in the cyro trubes means that he was supposed to be the clone template for that "Army" jules promised either Redomann or Blutarch
57:07 If the zombies were more intact and not visibly missing organs, shooting them in the body at first would make plenty of sense. But when the head is intact and their bodies are damaged and rotting, not to mention that the word "zombie" is used by the mercs to describe any undead thing (suggesting that "Night of the Living Dead" exists in the Team Fortress 2 universe), then it makes no sense for Demoman and Soldier to not just start going for headshots. It's also a bit silly that the Engineer's hardhat somehow stopped a bullet.
Yes, they were not in much danger either. They had guns and the zombies were not only killable but slow as hell. If they were the fresh walkers from Season 1 of The Walking Dead and those two had to quickly take them down with not much ammo, then it would have been a lot more scary.
There's a big thing that a lot of people confuse which is that the mutated scout is a red scout not the blue scout the red engineer killed him and medic put his body in the coffin and that medic try to revive blue scout but there's an error at the end but it was alive it had form so you can hear the scream of the blue scout as the revive machine malfunctioned and killed him so the blood coming out of the machine was real not a hallucination of medic.
I suggest to watching the what video on emesis blue cuz he explains the things in great detail so you can better understand emesis blue.

I know this was a year ago, but I wanted to throw out my two cents. As a long-standing TF2 fan, I adored the amount of love and care that was put into Emesis Blu. From the voice actors to the model-work, everything was a beautiful homage to the franchise and the horror genre.
(SPOILERS AHEAD)
What I noticed, that y'all seemed to overlook, was the errors of the Respawn Machine only affected the mercs, themselves. The respawn rates for each class (Scout, Heavy, etc) are percentage based. BLU Scout was let go by BLU Corp due to respawning enough times to the point where he was being affected by the Respawn Machine's instability. If you watch the Emesis BLU diazepam trailer, you are teased with what appears to be an old informercial for Emesis BLU. In the commercial, you notice the symptoms that warrant the prescription (along with warnings to consult a doctor). All of the symptoms that warn you to seek professional help while taking Emesis BLU, while being schizophrenia symptoms (as displayed in Scout's medical file) are also symptoms of the Respawn Machine.
Think about it, the more a class gets brought back via the Machine, the more chances there are for errors to occur. These errors are not separate entities, but can be wide-range depending on the number of respawns (ie.peg-leg Sniper, one-armed Demo, distorted RED Scout, BLU Scout Shining reference, ). For some reason, BLU Medic does not respawn via the Machine (this is only BLU Medic's case, not the RED). However, BLU Medic still suffers the symptoms of schizophrenia, along with dissociative spells.
I loved Soldier in this film, but during his war scenes, I think you were going too literal with the idea of his own memories being used against him. I think, since Soldier confirmed he never took the Valium, that he was having stress-induced hallucinations: merging past traumas with the current situation. Spy was an asshole, nothing else to add. I think the white masks are representative of the Respawn Cult: ones who have been indoctrinated in the eternity between respawns. I wanted to cry for BLU Scout: he lost his health, his job, his mom, his sanity, his best friend, and his life; only to be tortured in the eternity leading up to his catastrophic "errored" Respawn.

At this point I don’t even know what the fuck is going on anymore
Emesis is the scientific name for the act of vomiting, the movie 'M' (1931) was the black and white live-action movie playing on the television in Scout's house.
Thing about the mystery of the birefcase's contents really goes goes hand-in-hand as a parallel to the briefcase in Pulp Fiction you never truly get an honest sight of the contents of the case, only told/lied to abt it.
This needs to be in the theaters
I think the ending's setting with that bar and the bathroom could be some sort of afterlife? Since people who died are there, like the eyeless Engineer, Scout, Archibald, and Medic.
Man, been a while since I watched this guy… and even played TF2 with him as well… nice to be back to this wholesome channel.
Diazepam is a medication for anxiety disorders, short-term relief of anxiety symptoms, spasticity associated with upper motor neuron disorders, adjunct therapy for muscle spasms, preoperative anxiety relief, management of certain refractory epilepsy patients, and adjunct in severe recurrent convulsive seizures, and an adjunct in status epilepticus.
Ngl I don't know what half of this means but yea. Apparently he was taking this ALL the time, thinking it was for sleeping.
47:49 that was perfectly timed what I mean is I got an ad directly when the Pyro slammed Spy down
The one thing I can describe the video is an acid trip horror film.
41:11
"You really brought a drill to a sentry fight?"
-Wrath2501, 2023
8:56 Actually, VHS tapes began in the late 70s. It was common to find a black and white movie on VHS
Also the ambulance used in this movie was made in the 2010s. It shouldn’t be here
Man seeing his first reaction to a shinning reference I thought he was going to shit himself when he saw the red bathroom
this has to be the craziest 2fort match I've ever seen
it was so crazy that it was almost 2 hours long instead of 10 🤯
1:05:29 this is what every spy main sees everytime they encounter a pyro
Spy talking to aarchibald sounded like soldier voicing his mind to spy
Dude this is a true masterpiece of sfm
holy shit you did the full thing
Honestly I am a man of references like nardwuar. They've jumped up 40k in one month. The way the ending is if you track how they did everything. Which you'll have to watch a couple of times. You'll be able to see how they setup for the next one. We've all seen spys disguise, seen the references to it and what carried over. Maybe the next one of the trilogy will go over crow mask and what's in the briefcase. Remember how medic saw that evil version of himself with no eyes? Look at medics eyes when he crashes.
26:41 a photo of scout’s bedroom I presume
36:14 engineer helmet is grey might representing greyman
39:50 respawn test subject 2 said his eyes hurt it might be a engineer and they wear googles so they can see properly
40:50 blue engineer so we have a grey engineer and a blue one but no red one that was who grey engineer was properly talking about on the phone
45:37 white eyes could be test subject 2
46:14 the same masked man in scouts house might be working with the engineer’s
Check the comments
Not sure why my new edits aren’t showing so I’m just gonna put new ones here
48:10 a glimpse of the future a trope used multiple times in this move and only this is so clear
48:24 a scout might be the blu scout just turned
52:52 a glimpse of the past and pretty sure the first time of many
55:36 zombie red team might be unusable versions of the red team, dead red team, or the things that come out with the test subjects
58:44 a turned medic we see that the medic was killed so it seems when a red or possibly blu mercenary die their corpse becomes zombies
59:27 the guy in the Alleyway guess red team picked him up
1:04:22 greed also I guess arcibald did teach him to shoot his own
1:05:09 the murder weapon at scouts house
1:09:51 grey engineer brother I think but not actually him
1:14:01 a hearing of the past or maybe the future
1:16:20 seems to be medic’s skeleton or snipers because of the glasses
1:23:16 yet another glimpse of the past it seems this type of door way leads to the past or the future and you can interact with them
1:34:00 the exact same thing the masked man did to scouts mom
1:35:09 Emesis the same thing medic gave scout watch the end you’ll see
1:44:51 a glimpse of the past but fro some reason the water is in reverse
1:48:19 spy?
1:49:48 cyborg spy? But seriously spy seems to got a face mask and a robot vocal cord
1:54:06 the plague doctor can be seen in the background maybe he represents death
2:01:37 grey engineer’s brother also engineers have no eyes
2:03:03 no reflection ether vampire or a ghost/dead I think he’s dead/a ghost because he’s been cheating death
2:03:08 a burnt medic by the looks of it
2:03:23 the bathroom of the dead?
2:03:47 I think medic died on his way here
2:03:55 a ambulance didn’t the guy who got stabbed while they were investigating scouts house said the one who stabbed home was in an ambulance
2:04:16 the same thing in the Emesis presentation
2:04:30 medic?
Edit I decided to re watch and see if I missed anything and any new theories I have
3:31 you can see the plague doctor there
7:46 might be the side effects of the respawn machine and it might have also caused him to need stitch’s on his face
14:47 he might be talking about test subject 4
15:47 is that a black hearse
16:36 this might be a audio hallucination since he took Valium which is emesis diazepam which cause visual and audio hallucinations
20:00 is that the plague doctor?
20:50 might be visual hallucinations
21:35 photos of scout
35:32 might be his demons trying to fight for control
49:47 medic playing with the plague doctor the plague doctor might be death and medic is playing with death or cheating death
1:05:27 it kinda look like he’s crying each character have its own story maybe he’s crying because of how he got burned
1:05:49 kinda looks like a more rotten and less burned spy maybe this is a version of spy who survived who knows
1:09:27 I swear I can see a white mask staring at solder
1:09:53 SHINING REFERENCE
1:28:34 pause to see it’s the m symbols for some reason it’s everywhere
1:29:06might be the hallucinations
1:33:02 is that pyro or at least the masked murder that medic killed did medic just kill one of the classes if that’s actually pyro then the ending will be a whole lot different
1:32:56 might be heavy or solder
1:32:58 might be engineer
1:33:06 might be the tenth class
1:33:21 so solder was executed by Archibald and heavy, sniper, and scout was killed by spy that properly already died and the others might be executed by electric chair as we see in the presentation and the tenth class killed himself before they could get his soul or something in the respawn machine
1:34:06 bloodily tears the pyro suffering
1:41:53 solder from the future or the past
2:03:07 it looks kinda like medic at the funeral
2:03:22 emesis may cause visual and audio hallucinations this is said in the video that fortresses films actually released
2:03:38 emesis
2:03:42 looks like the bathroom is just the respawn machine
2:04:30 this might be ether the pyro or the medic we know the pyro when it comes back its always on fire but right now we don’t know if it’s the pyro respawn fire or just the room fire and medic did die but he could have respawn but why didn’t he regenerate
Ok yeah I think the eyeless engineer could be respawn test subject 2 it makes sense
@@colinni7065also I think the soldier at "The other side" was the 10th class
the heavy in the mask is the same heavy that soldier shot from before and in that voice they said "builders league" cause they reconize medic as blu
52:30 Bro I haven't my mind reeling this much since watching that one Fractured movie in 2019. SCP ain't got nothing on this shit, this is straight up raw psychological horror.
One thing I remember is that the medic from "Spy's disguise" is wearing the same cross necklace like the Medic got in this movie, coincidence, maybe? Also, the demo who froze to death is the same demo that soldier rescued since he's missing an arm just like the demo who was with Soldier. When demo was at the "bar" the engie there told him that he met his grandfather and his grandfather said "it is an eternity in here" if you go back to the start you will see that one of the first person to step out of the respawn is a man who also said "it is an eternity in here" at the intro to the movie
btw, I looked it up. Mannix is an old detective show from the late 70's. So both names Spy gave in scouts apartment were references
This TF2 movie basically took ideas from Residents Evil & Silent Hill and combined it into one.
I'm a bit late but I think the idea is that the respawn machine isnt just a machine but some kind of sorcery. This is the first prototypes which is why this center in particular is all kinds of messed up, something about it wasnt quite right and the magic is rampant including messing with time and space itself. Medic is haunted by this thing because he is one of the machine's creators hense why he doesnt need the machine to essentially respawn. The Emisis Blue is probably a sponsor of the project and wanted to do something even more messed up, something resident evil esque. Medic is horrified because when he takes it trying to clear his head he realizes he was being tricked too. In the sence with the crashed ambulance he isnt dead fully yet. Hes just being contorted by Emisis Blue, maybe it needs the patient to die once there is enough in the system for it to take effect.
This is just my interpretation of it though so i easily could be wrong
The medication has the effect of making the user not realize they are dying and respawning.
This sfm is so good it literally made me watch it again
It's still the mercenaries that respawn, but twisted versions of them, not something else entirely.
The guys who did the movie, they did a shorter video explaning what the medication in the movie is. Here is a link for it: ruclips.net/video/Qzqa527mVx8/видео.html
this will be the darkest SFM film of all time
I saw one reaction where when the Engi grabs scout and drags him away said "am I going to have to skim through to make sure I can show this, I hope it's not going where I think it is"
Tbf that's what I thought of at first too.
Hell yeah, an emesis blue reaction video
At this point I don't even know if you should even react to other sfm animations. Basically this is and will be the best sfm of all time and no one ever gonna make better than this.
1:10:36 is a shining reference one more thing is at 1:05:50 that is from gmod aka garry's mod and that is a real dead body thing put in garrys mod and is in emesis blue you can see and it is the corpse model from garrys mod. and like WRATH said theres another shining refence at 1:18:20 thats the part in shining where the elevator is pouring out blood.
Everytime I watch this I always find new pieces of information about it it's so good
22:03 in this scene you can barely understand what scout is saying "why did you kill her why did you kill her"
I find the "Ray Charles traded the piano for a M40" funny, because the soldier is basically mocking the sniper for being a bad marksman
I'm not into horror, but I am into quality. This is by far the best SFM video I've ever seen... Phenomenal...
Great to see a group reaction so into the movie, feels like I'm watching in good company
We all wanted it, we all waited it and now we have it!!
55:35 if no one knows what reference this is its the 3 stooges reference where they get stuck when the 3 enter the door at the same time
havent commented in a while but im so hyped you reacted to this
YEESSSS!!! You finally did it!
