in every video of Conor I watch, EVERY SINGLE ONE, here I am writing again and again what an incredible talented artist he is, but not this time, this time I'll just stay quiet and listen... Oh, wait...
I don't know why it took me so long to post a comment here, but better late than never. @MissMoreMusic: I guess I'll never be able to thank you enough for filming this concert and sharing it with us all. This is by far the best thing I've ever come across on youtube. Or internet in general ;-))) THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! I love everything Conor ever recorded, but this live performance is my daily therapy, my dose of hapiness ;-) And also thank you for uploading so many other music videos, you are truly amazing!!! Greetings from Germany!
i go to see him play last year here in Austin,Tx. Incredible show, played my 3 favorite songs: Lua, First Day of My LIfe and Shell Games!!!!! All acoustic. I was in the 3rd row, Hope he comes back soon!!!!
Night At Lake Unknown. The lyrics describe him not being able to sleep, and closing his eyes and pretending his bed is a raft floating on "Lake Unknown". Great song.
i almost didnt watch this because the quality seemed so poor in the beginning -- i get spinny looking at shaky videos -- but boy am i glad i did.. this was great thanks so much -- so many oldies and goodies -- wow -- im so in love with conor obersts music
I don't miss a Conor show. This tour which I saw at Royce Hall @UCLA was one of the most memorable by far. Second was probably his 2010 your with the felice brothers in Santa Barbara.
I saw him all alone in Hamburg when Lifted came out,he had to play alone because the stage was too small. Wonderful concert. He played a lot of songs from Fevers and Mirrors and Letting of the Happiness too.
Holy fate man, I remember we were friends on Myspace. We didn't talk much but I remember you were awesome and liked Harry Potter as much as me... and Bright Eyes. Well there you go, I think it was around 4 or so years ago. Just thought it was funny.haha Peace bud.
No stupid question. It's Simi Stone, she was on stage with Simone Felice as support for Conor. If you search for Simone Felice Kampnagel you will find several videos where she is playing and singing with Simone. Hope this helped....
I think that if most Bright Eyes/Conor Oberst shows had seats and stuff I'm sure they would be really peaceful and quiet like this one, but since most of them are standing, its a totally different situation I guess. That, and also in US shows, people yell and scream a lot during the songs and transitions which is sometimes impolite in a way. my first point might be a little difficult to understand idk
winstor adams I agree, US audiences think they are part if the show---very selfish and obnoxious. People who "whoo" during quiet parts of songs should be taken out back and executed.
I just see different cultures habits here is all. expression in any form - silence from awe vs. yelling/being 'part of the show' - as long as it comes from a state of being in the moment then I can dig it
I feel like they are too quiet. Like he's been asking for interaction the whole time, telling the crowd to sing along if they know the song, telling them they are nice but they can have fun. probably why he passed the mic during Laura Laurent. I think there is a way to be polite audience but you dont want to be boring, he has to fill in silent moments and that's a lot of pressure if you can't feed off of the audience energy.
I have noticed this too. Honestly its never bothered me, I take notice and sometimes as a fan its fun to wonder why he changed it to that, other times its probably just what he felt was right at the time. But its his lyrics and if hes gotten bored of singing it the same way over and over its understandable he would want to change things up. I understand what u mean by the new lyrics maybe hurting songs but i just dont see it (and havent heard it to be) that way
Ab0nis No worries dude.. When I saw him live in London, she was a big part of his set and her vocal part on Map of the world was incredible.....like this one. But live!
Flinch Fu I've often thought about it... there was a foreign guy who deliberately launched himself off of a mountain pass at 60mph not far away from here... too much time to reconsider imo.
When I was younger, I once impulsively drove a f150 from a dead stop into a tree at 40mph... luckily, sugar sand slowed my acceleration and the tree trunk I was aiming at was entirely rotten so it exploded and lessened the impact... I seldomly drink anymore. I used to be a complete madman.
I have watched the first four songs of the set thus far, and while I think Conor Oberst is a musical genius in many respects, and really did deserve the title of rock's boy genius, I absolutely HATE when he changes song lyrics and song tempos. Other ad-libs don't bother me that much, however I believe that some of these first songs I've heard thus far where ruined by this ad-libbing. Not trying to detract from the artist, but does anyone agree with me here?
I read once that he detests people singing along so that may be one reason he switches up lyrics/tempo. Doesn't bother me personally as the changes tend to be slight and render those particular renditions unique.
I can't believe he opened with "Big Picture" AHHHHHH! Perfect
just how it was in 2000
he is the greatest songwriter of all time as far as im concerned. so happy he played Arienette!
in every video of Conor I watch, EVERY SINGLE ONE, here I am writing again and again what an incredible talented artist he is, but not this time, this time I'll just stay quiet and listen... Oh, wait...
it's like all my favourite brighteyes songs were compiled in a setlist with my favourite solo songs too
save "I don't wanna die in a hospital"
Wow. I am so happy that I came across this. I'm back for the third time to listen in its entirety again.
Made for a wonderful saturday evening! FRONT ROW!
The perfect set. Truely a great modern day poet. Feels like you can see into his soul ❤️🖤❤️
Beautiful, amazing and perfect. I keep coming back. Dreaming of another West Aussie tour. One day…
Also, it's rare to hear this many Bright Eyes songs on a solo live performance especially in 2013. Loved it!
I don't know why it took me so long to post a comment here, but better late than never.

Proud to be from San Diego, the birthplace of the summer.

This is one of the best live performances of Conor that ive heard. Especially loved this rendition of "Classic Cars"
❤

What I wouldn't give to have been there. Thanks for sharing this.

i love this so much, but by the end of it, I'm clenching my jaw.
He is the most incredible being. No comparisons
The ladder song is hauntingly beautiful
OMG so many underplayed old songs! I love it so much, I'm going to listen to the whole thing while I do my statistics homework, haha. THANK YOU! :D

YoseMiteEmery
I was at that show in the front row!! 💜
I saw him all alone in Hamburg when Lifted came out,he had to play alone because the stage was too small. Wonderful concert. He played a lot of songs from Fevers and Mirrors and Letting of the Happiness too.
I wish he would've played You will? You. Will? at the Boston show that past December. I would've died.
Holy fate man, I remember we were friends on Myspace. We didn't talk much but I remember you were awesome and liked Harry Potter as much as me... and Bright Eyes. Well there you go, I think it was around 4 or so years ago. Just thought it was funny.haha Peace bud.
He's released one previously. It's called Motion Sickness if you're interested!
your the highlight here
"I love you now,
I know that's all that matters.
I love you now
And I know that's all that matters."
Lua is so good you had to put it in twice! (:
A big THANK YOU to MissMoreMusic.
advice - don't look at the tracklisting and watch the whole thing as if you are there.
el mejor set de Conor

Damn that was a good performance of Cape Canaveral.
The most polite audience ever.
You can definetely tell the difference between US and EU audience ;-)

53:58 is the best part of the whole video. "There's a mouse over here." LOL Ahhhh, Conor.
f'n rad, man.
oh you've gotta be kiddin me I missed this ffs
conor should put out a live record

Anywhere we can download the source video so we can hear it without the youtube compression?
What's the violinist's name? Conor says her name at 1:07:33 , something like simmie.. can't seem to find it online
Ab0nis Simi Stone - www.google.co.uk/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=simi%20stone
marcustongue123 thnx man!
Ab0nis No worries dude.. When I saw him live in London, she was a big part of his set and her vocal part on Map of the world was incredible.....like this one. But live!
@ 18:46 - "it's a very nostalgic song and i'd like to apologize for that"?
XOXO
whats the song at 58 minutes that he said was a new one for insomniacs?
motion sickness, under Bright Eyes
Mike Mogus, Jim James and M. Ward - who is his Misses?
Laura Laurent is the highlight here.
A singalong for the suicidal.
Gary Lindsay as of all bright eyes
...
The worst is when the camera person is singing over him and they post it, cluttering utube with shitty videos.
lolol! yea! I def remember you
Ten Women
Waste of paint!!! he should play this at every show
conor oberst...making all other men obsolete.
6:30 Don't die in a car accident, don't say that shit... :(

He's rendered women obsolete as well. Not sure what that means but I know that I mean it...
Used to Nothing

I dont agree. This aint no sing along.
