I chanced upon this movie on Sunday afternoon and, before I go further, I must admit that I am a die-hard loyal fan of Betty Grable. This narrative may not seem plausible, but it did have it's "fun" moments. This film is an anomaly within Betty's distinguished repertoire of musicals where she chalked up one hit after another. Yes, she did look gorgeous in glorious technicolor and got to sing one song. Despite a weak plot, the earnestness of her acting range was truly evident. The film has crystal clear dialogue with both Cesar Romero and Sterling Holloway giving adequate performances. If you are a Grable fan, just go ahead and see "The Beautiful Blonde from Bashful Bend'.
Magnificent technicolor, elaborate sceneries and costumes. Quite enjoyable !When I hardly knew of B.Grable and had never seen a movie of hers, I thought she was no more than a chick or a bimbo.I was quite wrong :she's a very charming unpretentious woman who had got all it took ,to deliver as comedy actress ! She was big,I believe,in her time. She could have been une Ingenue and even a pervert coquetish one in Marivaux, or a "fine mouche" chez Molière.
So sorry.I thought you were just some " Technicolor Godesses in their cinetic noospheric celluloid Shrines"generous connoisseur guy eager to spread the Cult.Cloudy me! Fervent Apologies ! You're ,I realise, Belonging to that Elected Tribe of The Superattractive Gifted Sharp n' Bright Brilliant Ladies Who Only Get Along n' Totaly Carried Away With My Kind " ! N.B.: My Interest is nowdays Purely Spiritual. I've had more than my share, and I'll soon celebrate with all due deepest reverence n' gratefulness to Providence my 157th Birthday next year .

Cute movie and I’m glad the ending wasn’t cut off🥰
Snake City, no such place, and since when does a school teacher when arriving for a new job get such a welcome reception. Still a fun comedy.
