Can we just appreciate Johnny's ears throughout this cross country course? They're just perks forward the whole time. Jonny is so friggin cute. Elisa, I love how your constantly telling him good boy, and keeping it very positive. I love how how you told him "C'mon Johnny I wanna get home" it looked like he instantly sped up and took you home. Such amazing horsemanship. Honestly when you started crying at the end so happy with him it just warmed my heart. Johnny is a super horse, he's so intelligent. I don't know how many times I've watched this, and continue to become more impressed with your skill as a rider, and how athletic Johnny is. Awesome job Elisa! GO JOHNNY GO!!!

@@evelyncarpio9452 there's one big difference, a westernsaddle is legit a sofa it's litterly impossible to fall out of it. (And yes I have done western for 6 years but changed due to lack of action.) You now the obstacles are stuck and can't move in case the horse don't jump high enough? As far as I know a barrel will fall if you hit it. The Only thing that usually makes western any more dangerous is not using an helmet. Mvh.

Horses were bred to run to the death at command and if you scanned their lungs you'd find bleeding when they run full speed for prolonged periods of time. Plus people who design these tracks are sadists, they are way too long and the obstacles seem intentionally designed to be death traps to the horses.

rubles do some research. It is cruel. Those horses are wiped and spurred so hard. They are over worked and are started way to young. Usually race horses only live a short life because they are worked to hard a have to be killed. Or they are sold off if the owner isn’t happy. So please do some research.

Every time o need a cheer up after coming off my (way too spunky and excitable) mare I come watch these videos. Training her from western to english is such a struggle. After I found your channel, I wanted to start getting more into english riding and cross country-not big events like this, but more small events near my hometown in America. My mare was trained for western pleasure and reining, so trying to get her used to an english saddle compared to a western saddle-which I was also trained in for most of my time-along with myself has been a struggle. Now that there’s nearly a foot of snow in my hometown, there’s not a lot I can do with her. ):

Great ride ! I hated that the usef livestream didn't cover your ride ( except a few seconds) because they only showed Marilyn Little's ride. So I was waiting for your video. Best of luck for the showjumping today !

Yes! I was seriously irritated with that - was shouting at my laptop when they refused to cut back to Elisa and Johnny!

EnglishPony Same! I questioned their common sense more with every minute. They could show the crowd and someone waiting to go into the starting box but not Elisa's ride ?!

today was the day ive rode on a horse's back for the first time in my life. i can still feel every nook and crannie in my pelivs. (ive only been stepping) this video displays a duo of champions. i have always admired horses and theire riders, but only after you have been in the saddle, you can appreciate the skill of animal and human combined on a complete scale

Been a fan for q year or 2, late to to the game...
But I love the support your dad gives you. I know he's also a world class eventer, so he may very well also be competing but he's at every single event. He's always at the end waiting to hug you and give you his support.
It must be so amazing for you to have someone you are so close to who understands the massive accomplishments you are achieving. It's just a beautiful relationship to see

There's nothing like the relationship between a horse and their rider, you can really tell he's listening to your every word and probably eating up that praise after he does well. What a beautiful horse!
