    Radiant heat is one of the most comfortable forms of heating you can experience. Combing that heat with Ecowarm’s radiant heat panels takes it to the next level. Simply, its pre-grooved plywood wrapped in aluminum that you install as your subfloor, or over an existing subfloor…the radiant tubing fits right into all the grooves, and the aluminum conducts the heat so you get nice even heat across your entire floor.

    I would like to know what you think of the Eco warm radiant floor heating? What heat source are you using for this system?

      I've been using it for 2 years now and have to say I absolutely love it. From a comfort standpoint the heat is nice and distributed because of the metal wrapped panels so no hot/cold spots, just even heat. From an install perspective, which you see in this video, my plumber loved it - he said it cut his install time by something like 80%! Lastly, with respect to the install of the Ecowarm subfloor panels themselves, it takes a bit longer than a typical subfloor, but the plans these guys supply you with are super easy to read and once you understand how the cuts work the install is a breeze. Two thumbs WAY up.

    Anthony, we are literally gathering quotes from Ecowarm and Warmboard now. After 3 years, has your opinion remained the same when considering the cost and efficiency of each product. Your opinion matters. Thanks.

      So sorry for the slow reply. Been crazy with work. I am whole hardly still an EcoWarm lover. I have had zero issues since install and love the heat and efficiency. Two thumbs way up. 🤙🏼

      @@CarrinoAnthony Isn't the product in this video actually Ecowarm? Is that what you meant or do you prefer the warmboard your parents had?

      @@rayhe yeah, typing too fast with too much going on. It’s absolutely EcoWarm. I edited my last post. And yes, I would use EcoWarm again over WB…much easier and faster install and after 4 winters with I know it works and works well. Thanks for the catch Ray 🤦🏻‍♂️

    Is it possible to use this instead of the subfloor? or does it have to be installed on top of a subfloor?

    • @CarrinoAnthony
      @CarrinoAnthony  2 года назад

      Yes! You can use this INSTEAD of subfloor. The ceiling height in this old firehouse is so tall that I didn’t want to go through the expense of removing the old subfloor so I left it, but you can absolutely use it as the subfloor.

    I wanted heated floors installed
    But believe it or not we couldn’t find anybody to do the job
    One would do the heating but the we couldn’t find anybody to lay the floors nobody did both.

      Yeah, they are definitely two different trades...well, 3 if you consider your finished flooring. Here’s how I did it: (keep in mind my GC has everyone in house so it’s very synergistic, but you can do this by hiring separate trades as well)
      1) framing contractor installs EcoWarm panels on the floor following the plans that the company provides
      2) plumber comes in and runs all the per loops in the floor channels and installs manifolds / boiler / etc.
      3) flooring contractor installs your desired finished floor over top.
