    Wow so many different exercises and machines... guess not many people have ths opportunity to workout in a gym like this with that less people...
    But I think this kind of workout gets you in perfect shape for bvolley :-D

      Just went over it, a lot of the cool machines will probably have to be substituted, but this gives a general idea on what specific muscle groups to target. Great stuff. Good luck on the tour this year and hope to see you guys in Austin, TX in May!

    As a shorter player (6'1'') working on my vertical so 6'5'' blockers can't just get me every time, what workouts would you guys recommend on top of beach training

      I am in the same boat - 5'11.5" and would love to see some of the most effective exercises for increasing our vertical (maybe ask SportsAcademy for some statistics?). Nick, I would suggest jumping rope as I have heard this can help but I just bought mine yesterday so will have to start documenting my progress to see if this is actually the case.

      The above and SPRINT and hopping, have to train your fast twitch muscles as hard.

      I think the key is to focus on keeping your reps light and explosive. If you look at track athletes that compete in jump-based events (long jump, high jump), they keep their sets light and quick.

      In order to increase vertical my trainer gave me this program: 5 series (5 reps) of box jump with 2 min. of rest between each serie, trying to reach at least 1,10 meters. 5 series (5 reps) of broad jump with 2 min. of rest between each serie, trying to reach at least 2,50 meters. 10 reps 30 meters dash (trying to stay under 4,10 sec.). Otherwise, weightlifting (back squat and deadlift). In my case, 120 kg back squat, 140 kg deadlift (i'm 82 kg). Hope it helps.

    pro tip: use a towel to sit/lie on a training unit to not sweat it (and its better for urself to not get the dirt from previous unit users) :D

    Great video, as always! I was wondering if you guys have any workout that is not as much a circuit? Or is this (as well as your beach training and the like) how you guys always workout? Are there possibly like ~6 or so movements that one could *focus* on (doing more than a single set of course) to have a good workout that trains what you need to train? I don't know if you understand what I'm trying to say, but sometimes it is difficult to hop from machine to machine to bench or what have you-as well as the fact that many gyms (mine included) don't have a lot of these machines. Thanks for the amazing videos, Riley and Maddison!
