I have the ryobi version of this. 40v. I have the edger and weed whipper. The whipper is carbon fiber and really nice. Pro tip: get the blower and just blow the dirt and grass back in the lawn.
I remember using an old AC powered one as a kid. Was fun running it too close to the sidewalk and shooting sparks.
Man, I remember using a manual one at my grandmas house! What a pain!!
The accessories from most brands have a fairly standard attachment mechanism. You can usually get away with swapping brands if the cost/benefit makes sense. Only edge twice a year? Get the Cryobi or Hazard Fraught head. Your milage may very.
Looks great. I really appreciate your hvac expertise and videos; admire your branching out into this. For me, edging is 1 thing I hire out. I cut my grass myself tho. $13 every 2 wks. - long driveway and walk way.
someone comes to your house and edges for $13 dollars? how is that even possible. most people wouldn't drive by your house for $13
@@james6794 Yes. Small husband and wife operation. They do it on their sched. Send invoice once a month. They started this about 5 years ago for $10. About 2 years ago, told them to start invoicing me $12. This year I told them to invoice me $13. I tell them to raise their rates on me!! And they do a great job! They only do it from May - Nov. - zoysia.
reminds me of the Ryobi two-stroke click-link system I got for my dad in the '90s. I have it now and it still works well as a string trimmer (hate reloading those spools!) and a bladed edge-trimmer. click-out one head, click-in the other, fire the engine and you're off!
father 3 kids and 2 toddler twins here total 5 Lmao . new home owner . Thank you for this knowledge , Love your Video man
1. Stihl, FS-40 weed wacker 2. / 6 inch, cone shaped wire brush, for angle grinder 3. Cut - off piece of deep socket - to fit drive nut. 4. Weld socket - to inside of cone spring-steel wire brush. 5. Balance it -------6. INstall on FS-40. 7. Weld original drive - nut ; onto much larger nut (for balance , and security). Install onto drive spring-fitting. 8. W o W . Best lawn - edger, EVER ! Mows down grass, abundantly......trims lawn - edge, awesome ! Depends on the angle, '' of attack '' . Usually walk from left - to right, so brush shoots, refuse ONTO SIDEWALK......try it !
I would add that I’ve been smacked in the ol’las pelotas more with these machines by small rocks. Watch out.
I do a lot of my edging with a spade. No battery, no cord, no gas and it was free. Not as easy as a powered edger, but I don’t have to do it often.
did he not say in the beginning of the video, "not that expensive?" I suppose that term could be relevant to ones own life; but several hundred dollars per attachment PLUS the cost of the base tool, battery, charger (if you're not already in the Milwaukee eco) is very pricey.
Nice video, now you have a nicer lawn! The Milwaukee is nice. I have the 60v Dewalt version of this power head. The Dewalt can use attachments from multiple brands. My tiller attachment is by Ryobi and is pretty stout.
Great video. Thank you for sharing
Dave has waaay too many talents and tools 🧰, and that’s a good thing!
Does look awesome now 👍🏻
Yo i tried to pull my blower out to clean it and it seems its screwed in the the side with some brass continuous screws have you ever seen one like this. Its a old aprilaire. Cant access the screws from the side unless I start chopping up the furnace .
This is a very old technology. Ryobi came out with it a long time ago.
I really thought this was going to be something better than Ryobi.
The Echo, Husqvarna, and Stihl have different heads too. Meh.
I prefer my ego lawn tools.
Too bad Milwaukee is owned by a Chinese company. (TechTronic Industries)
Edit: spelling
😂😂😂you acting like Ryobi aint perfected this shit already.....🤣🤣🤣
