    Fantastic scenery. Great video thanks for sharing your memories.

      Thank you so much for watching. I can tell you truthfully that, try as we might, the video didn’t do the scenery justice. The most amazing thing was the complete silence, except for water lapping the hull and birdsong. Truly amazing.

    It is so beautiful down there. I loved seeing it in real life. What a great adventure.

    I sure hope your boys don't have to get to 30 -40 years old to REALLY appreciate the adventures that you share with them. They are living a quality of life better than probably 95% of kids their age, and it's great to still see the spirit of adventure is going strong! Fair winds and following seas for all your adventures.

      That’s so kind of you to say x
      They don’t have to wait. They are truly lovely young men and I know every day they appreciate their lives. They both have charitable hearts and champion and defend those less fortunate than themselves every day in their school lives. They work hard to help me achieve these things for them - and especially as Luca grows more and more confident and capable he’s doing more and more to get us on the water. I’d be lost without them xx
      Happy holidays to you, and thank-you so much for watching!

      Glad you enjoyed it. One of the best weekends in my life. Possibly the last time I felt truly alive.

    We lived in Tasmania for a while and I yearn for the wild places and tannin stained waters. I must bring Kalliope down there next summer. I keep having dreams about being back at the smelter in George Town.....what does that mean?

    • @afloatinawoodenboat
      @afloatinawoodenboat  2 года назад

      I think it just means that it’s time to visit! We’d love to see Kalliope down here. Are you coming for AWBF?

    So some people want to drain the lake? Would the irreplaceable species come back if they did?

    • @afloatinawoodenboat
      @afloatinawoodenboat  Год назад

      Yes, there is quite a movement to restore pedder. However it would be an overwhelming task to regenerate the land. It’s an enormous area. The conservation required to rehabilitate it may be beyond the resources we have, I think - though I’m not qualified to make that judgement!

    Hi Guys, sorry for late comment, been working on the charter boats.
    Any way what a lovely place to sail on and all that drinking water.
    Any way can you please tell me the knot you have on the mainsheet boom .
    Looks like a great knot.
