this is just my personal view as a Godzilla fan but I think the new Godzilla takes its appearance from a combination of the king kong Godzilla, and the showa era Godzilla suit combined. The body and head look very much the same compared to others. Also the Mutos make me think of the movie Rodan in that we have two flying monsters who are mates, and they both end up dying together rather then one survive.
$50 for plastic figured toys? Serious? Maybe if they included some of the other classic Godzilla foes i.e The Smog Monster, King Ghidorah, Megalon, or Gigan..then...maybe I would consider spending that much. Don't get me wrong, I am a Godzilla fan too , but $50 for some plastic ...They should have been made of pewter! LOL
