The center position in the NFL has become one of the most undervalued positions in all of football. While the salary for the tackle position has gone over 23 million a season, the best centers are only getting paid around 14 million a year. Now I do understand that it’s really hard to find a high-quality offensive tackle. That’s not lost on me; however, when you can find one of the best centers in all football at the end of the second round, this is where I start to question things.
In this video I want to talk about Creed Humphrey, his skill set, and how he immediately improved the Chiefs offense. In my opinion, he's already one of the best centers in the entire NFL.

Sam, really like the video. Good job.
Really tempting to say Humphry was beat by Heyward in the Steelers clip. That's actually Montravius Adam's #57 with the sack. He has one of the quickest snap to rush times in the NFL. Heyward is big #97. Go Blitzburgh Steelers!

Right as we hear about bullying linebackers, Creed throws a (gentle) block to the back to a grounded Tae Crowder (2:17). Quality editing :). Love your videos Sam!

Just echoing what I have heard as I do not agree
But a lot of people pinged Humphrey in the draft due to him being left handed which may be tricky for QBs to get used to

As a Seahawks fan it’s extremely hard to watch this. Our entire fucking fan base was begging JS to draft him on Reddit and FG and Stanton’s blog. Sigh.

Of course a 24 year old rookie did better than a more traditional 21/22 year old rookie. For one thing, studies have shown that the frontal cortex (processing) continues to develop through to ages 23/24. Also, while not 100% comparable, would you not expect a 2-3 year player at age 24/25 to not also be a candidate? He is not a 2-3 year pro, but still has experience and development of an adult. The term "rookie" is thrown around to imply things other than just being a first year professional, such as youth and inexperience.
