I can’t believe that pipe work from your yacht was running in circles from the bilge why would they do that? I hope the bilge pump works ok when needed worth checking out🥴🥴. We hope to sail off to exotic islands for sure, but first we will stay around aust as we learn what we are doing. Chris is very handy with most things which is lucky as buying an older boat and as you say being on salt water we are sure many issues will pop up along the way. great video. I've seen a couple of those boats that you looked at. It's a shame you didn't get onboard the 'Schionning' in Perth. I spent a few hours onboard around 18 months ago. It's beautiful........ but not quite what I was after
Hey Graeme, we actually also spent a couple of hours onboard the schionning, I just didn't capture any footage of it at the time. We did love it as well, and it was very well made, but as you said we felt the same in that it wasn't quite right for us. Thanks for the message and for watching :)

Subscribed. I also live in Perth and I flew in that exact same glider a couple of years ago (VH-GAP) after learning to fly gliders in Newman in the '80s. I liked the way the winglets looked like they were giving the finger to the Earth when turning. We're also planning on turning some real estate into a floating home in which to pour money. Good luck.

Don’t forget to put all the fun stuff about learning to sail if you haven’t already ups an downs because that’s what we like to watch ☺️ . I’m not a yacht watching RUclipsr but this is going to be exciting to watch as its left of field of you’re previous videos and are you going to travel Australia and maybe beyond the world is your oyster . In the old videos we often found ourselves having coffee at yacht clubs or walking that marinas hoping someone might welcome us onboard 😝😝😝, but you’re right we didn’t say anything outright about it. We will certainly try to capture the very steep learning curve that is to come and share as much as we can. Appreciate you sticking with us as we cross transportation modes!!! It is certainly a big change that’s for sure!!!!!!! We are excited for the learning curve though, aways good to learn new skills! Plans to stay around aust for a start as we learn the boat, make some changes to her, as well as learning how to sail efficiently… but following that we do hope to venture into international waters one day
Which websites were you looking at to find your catamaran or did you use a broker to look for you ? We are thinking of moving onto a liveaboard catamaran but don’t really know where to start
It was hard to be honest. We used every website we could find and had to take many trips all around the country… but that was due to what we wanted and our budget, so if you’re after something more common it might be easier. We did have a broker help us with the paper work though once we found the one we wanted to buy!!! Good luck with your boat search… it’s an exciting and sometimes frustrating experience but will be worth it when you get your boat 🙌🙌🙌
