Excellent rendering this kriti in the raga 'ShaNmugapriya'. Ir evokes or kindles the spirit of bhakti that is dormant in us; abundant vaazhththukkaL to Dr. L. Subramaniam, the great violinist of our times. - "M.K. Subramanian."
33.43 onwards the niraaval type of pattern...arumai..what a lightening speed on violin..soooooooooo much precision on kutty kutty sangatheengal..decimal point precision .semma👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
It would have been useful to students of music if the structure of the Pallavi were given such as the sahityam or bandish talam eduppu and Arudhi of the Pallavi.
Why should accompanying musicians sit with the principal performer for so long, poor fellows? Why not join the main performer when required, in this case some 25 min. from start?
@@tansuaksu Probably is the one responsible for the down vote too. And I can almost guarantee never listened to the whole piece. Very restrained mridangam playing.

Pl. correct it as 'it' instead of what has been given above. It is a typing error. - "M.K. Subramanian."
Hearing for the first time such music by drls. Marvelous. Best for calmness and stress 👍

Sir wanted to understand if rag Madhuvanti is the hindustani classical equivalent of Shanmugapriya ragam?
It is hindustani equivalent of dharmavati.
Madhuvanthi is the derivative of Dharmavathi, which is Melakartha Raga.
Ом!

Thank you for your feedback. We will consider it for our further videos.

They are witnessing and enjoying a master at work.
Lot of Hiss in the recording.
dude!
is that the best thing you could say?

I'm taking a guess that he's mistaking the depth in the violin sound + Shruthi in the background as Hiss
