What is going on everybody, this is TGA, and in today's video, we're at Caerphilly County Borough Council in Tredomen, Caerphilly, Wales. Where we get a number of not allowed's and get told I am required insurance to film in public places, bit of a joke lol. Enjoy.
INDEMNITY INSURANCE, WTF, how can someone be so dumb
I think either she genuinely believed that indemnity insurance is required to fly a drone in public airspace, or she heard the term "indemnity insurance" in the office and thought she'd try to make herself look smart by parroting it.
Either way she made herself look like a fool.
Works for the council, it's a requirement to work there😂
I love it when people make up their own laws. They make themselves stupid.
Would that include ‘this is a public building so I can ignore your policies on private property’?
It’s Wales the education system failed years ago.
They always want forms and licenses they should go to Dover and ask for FORMS AND INSURANCE off the boat people! Good luck with that…..
😂😂😂
I think she should be required to think before she opens her mouth
Karen's are not equipped, it is the flaw in their DNA
That requires the ability to actually think.
INDEMNITY INSURANCE ???? Where she pluck that gem from? Holy balls 🤣
I'll have to add that to my auditing bingo card game. I've already gone over 52 with 2 jokers, so another one will have to go.
I assume it's somthing they require when they have *contracts* with *commerical filmmakers* ?
@@peterhemmings2929journalists filming need to have insurance, some of their equipment can cause accidents.
The stupidity of some people just astounds me. I think it would be great if everyone would write in to the council requesting permission to film on public property - see how they cope with getting swamped with paperwork.
Yeah they certainly would get swamped with paperwork
Try walking into a school with your cameras and see how you get on with the public property argument.
Leftists and Marxists have always been communism lite, all about the police state and the worst parts of communist overreach, destroying everything they touch, in service to the globalist deep state
@@JoeBlogs720 a school is covered by further legislation Section 547 of the Education Act 1996 makes it a criminal offence for a person who is on school premises without lawful authority to cause or permit a nuisance or disturbance
@@TheGwentAuditorTGAbut what about your ‘human rights to film’ don’t they trump all that?
“We’d like to demand you ask permission to carry out your lawful activity of filming in public. Because we are very important people and we’re used to getting away with random acts of tyranny”.
"We're used to getting away (,,,) " You hit the nail on the head there. Because too many people are so docile, these nitwits are so self entitled.
1:50 the fact that councils and police in other parts of the U.K. have such huge and expansive properties on the public purse, wasting taxpayers money is utterly disgraceful and must be robustly challenged, including in the courts
Remember. Repeat after me. You're a peasant and you will do as I say and hand over your money. Stand and deliver.
@@adenwellsmith6908Oh yeah keep talking dirty to me.
@@alexfilma16 Pay me first you dirty little oik. I'm your lord and master, as well as your better. I'm your MP. :-)
And the Police even more so, with the huge amounts they spend on vehicle's, especially top of the range, souped up, high performance vehicles. Yet, they beg for money to pay for Helucopters.
Yes as absurd comments go, then the one made about indemnity insurance, is 'definitely up there!!
For sure! And thankyou!
She thinx hes a journalist. They need insurance.
I think that councils got a policy that you need insurance to breathe, unless you’re asthmatic
People always likes to tell others what to do even when they do not know themselves CLOWNS
Well, that's a new one. Never heard of that law.
Another option, drop a FOI request on them first. When they ask why you are filming, tell them there is a queue, and you answer comes first. When they reply you might consider answering their information requests.
There was a time when councils used to work on our behalf but now they are all money grabbing corporations who love spending our money on vanity projects and as a result they cannot get the books to add up and are going bust . All we ask is to provide the basic services we all require and for them to work in a functional building and stop wasting money that way we wouldn't have to pay rip off amounts of council tax on things like diversity and inclusion people that's not what council tax is about
Most of them wouldn't survive in the private sector
So the council communications manager is quite happy to lie to a member of the public, between that and diversity I wonder what other qualities and qualifications she has for that position 😋 mmmm also why is it that these council types have a horrible attitude towards members of the public at times.
Proving that councils are generally clueless
Where is this council who do I write into for permission to do a selfie in public just incase I don't have my own insurance.😂😂😂
Probably also ask you for proof of permission , from the person your taking the selfie of under GDPR😂
As a resident of Caerphilly this video is very troubling to say the least.. please inform the ICO tga
I like your direct approach. Did you see 'Yaki Dai's' recent video where police tried to serve a dispersal notice on him for filming in the town centre.
Thank you, and yes I’ve seen that video with the magic screens, it’s two tier policing in this country
Brilliant you cant get appointment for weeks at the council, but show up with a camera and they come out to you.. 😂 thats the way to do it..😊
Lol I loved it how he opened the door abit wider so you would hear her say shall we contact the police then 😂like it’s going to scare you 😂😂😂😂
So i have been breaking the law for 40yrs while taking photos.
Lol
Yep! Your are now a wanted suspect for posting that self admission online. Expect a visit very sooooon...😂 👮♀️👮🚔 Your goingvto Prison for a very long-time😢
@@GaryNeale-ff5pz 😂😂😂
I've had people tell me I should have insurance (usually they claim I need Public Liability Insurance) to take photos in public. I find the best response is to ask them where they got theirs from, as they'd need it to take photos with their smartphone anywhere outside their own home.
Usually they blather something about "professional cameras" (to which I point out that Vogue and Cosmopolitan magazine have had their covers shot on smartphones), and shuffle off.
After AB's video this is just more entertaining to make a Sunday more interesting... both videos were like a comedy routine by them in charge....keep up the great work
Always public employees spouting rubbish. Thanks so much
I'm just popping out to get some of that insurance.
£5.99 per month. Send me your bank details, I'll pop the policy in the post 😂😂😂 I promise?
0:54 this seems less of a problem with the police and more of a problem with local councils who want to ban public filming and where possible, they will use the police and private security to enforce their opinions and thier “bye-laws” which also need to be challenged in the courts
🤪 crazy isn't it Public servants not wanting to be filmed, by the public who pay their wages, and who's council tax they continually waste on unwanted, useless projects.😢
Oh these "communications" departments that don't know what they're talking about and oh yeah, your policy doesn't trump human rights, or LAWS!
Always guaranteed of good content TGA. Keep doing what you do sticking up for your rights.
Thanks so much
i am constantly amazed how sure people are of laws that dont exist
And how they manage to think them up on the spot.😂
7:40 I’m not fooled by their “light and fluffy” facade they try to present, including things like the “hive mind” via the “hive cafe”
Argghhhh! Stupid speak, by stupid people who think they make people's lives better😂😂😂
This has to be the daftest Council ever. So if you want to take a photo anywhere you need to get permission? Did she really not hear how daft that sounded.
I suspect she knew very well she was talking crap but in the hope her victim was uneducated and could be bullied/intimidated===She failed miserably =========
INDEMNITY INSURANCE TO FILM ? ha ha ha what about all the dash cams and cams on cycles
Exactly, think it would be a bit difficult for them to apply in writing 😂
Where can I buy CCTV insurance?
@@TheGwentAuditorTGA The application is easy. The problem occurs with their reading ability to process the form.
That was one of the most stupidest things I’ve ever heard. Public indemnity insurance required to film in public? BAHAHAHAHAHA
The indemnity lady raised foolishness to level akin to a Zen Art Form....goodness.......................................
Is that part of the same law that requires her to eat 20 doughnuts a day. LoL. 😂✌
Oh that old chestnut. The problem isnt us breaking data protection, its you filming it. Classic.
😅😅 that's thier problem...your not requesting anything from them....indemnity insurance to record😂😂😂
What a gem ! Well done tga 👍👌
Thank you
Why are you filming here?
I've come to see how my money is being wasted on this multimillion pound building
2005 £25 MILLION FOR THE BUILDING
2023 £1.4m for heating system, £200,000 for office refurbishment while staff still work from home
So does that include every kid with a phone every car with a dash cam or any holiday maker lol
WHAT DID YOU DO ON YOUR HOLIDAY. I TOOK AN ILEGAL PHOTO OF A WELSH COUNCIL BUILDING.
Of course😂
Normal people do not go round looking in windows like that.
THEY DO WHEN THEY ARE TRYING TO PROVE A POINT. THE STAFF LEAVE PEOPLES DETAILS ON SHOW IT IS THEIR RESPONSIBILITY TO PROTECT THE DATA NOT OURS. EMAILS ON DISPLAY AND ITS OUR FAULT. WHAT IF HE WAS TRYING TO GET NAMES, ADRESSES DATES OF BIRTH. THESE FOOLS COULD JUST HAVE HELPED HIM CLONE SOME ONES IDENTITY.
Council workers who should know GDPR laws inside out, should have the intelligence to realise windows are see through, therfore private, personal information on computer screens, should not be facing towards an uncovered window.
I was always told that if you are stupid don't open your mouth and confirm it
The phrase I saw was ‘it’s better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak up and remove all doubt’.
Good on ya standing up for your rights I hope she learns that a camera is not a crime
Thank you
We're council staff ! In a council building 😂😂
She needs indemnity to wear those jeans
I'm concerned you are reading screens.
But your not meant to its a GDPR breach.
Er Bugger. [Thinks hard]. It's not confidential data. ....
Without England’s generosity Wales would have shut down years ago.
And we used to have to BLOODY WELL a fortune just to enter Wales as well😂
18:12 TGA is a weirdo. Imagine that interaction in the real world. You say hi to someone and they start talking about insurance. Jesus. What had happened to Auditing.
Huh? She started talking about the public liability insurance lol 😂😂
@@TheGwentAuditorTGA you joking? Don’t you know how RUclips works….. click the time stamp in my comment. 😂 you’re good value.
Does she have indemnity insurance for those jeans?
As usual know it all Karen's know sweet FA
just like the comments section
5:11 what law is it that allows you to film in a public building? Would love to see it.
Same law that allows me to film in public, as it’s a public place. Pavements are owned by the council, so is this building and it’s open to the general public
Its more that there is no law stopping it from happening. UK law works on the basis that if something is not in legislation, then it's allowed. The only time cameras are mentioned in legislation is about courts and prisons and national security.
@@TheGwentAuditorTGAif this is the kind of utterly stupid things that are being said to you, even in Wales, even if under Welsh law, it’s possible that using the excuse of GDPR post-Brexit and Post-Covid, it’s possible that they will use the confusion around GDPR to pass laws in Parliament to ban all public filming and “taking photos” in public spaces by private citizens for private purposes, while also at the same time, giving them the exclusive right to film and “take photos” including but not limited to CCTV cameras with facial recognition software, in the entire U.K. - it really is time that the existing and any future laws were challenged in the courts
@@TheGwentAuditorTGAit’s private property mate, if they have a policy that say you need permission to film - then you need permission to film. Otherwise they just chuck you out.
@@TheSadButMadLadcompletely agree so when the building owner say it’s not allowed, there is no law that stops them from doing so - hence it’s not allowed. No BS about public buildings or article 10 changes that.
She has no idea of the law and needs educated
she chats bare woffle cakes, isn't a legal requirement to have indemnity insurance but you can have one on the safe side lol.
Im beginning to think that stupidness is required before you can work for the local councils.
It is. 😂
Our rights trump that unfortunately? surely you mean Fortunately. 😁👍⭐
Yeah of course, unfortunately for her
I would comment, but I don't have any insurance. 😅
A fairly good video, albeit better masking required (per frame) to keep private from being visible. That was rather disappointing.
For the Comms lass interaction, I’d have asked her for a copy of the policy section where it states what she was trying to assert, especially for the town centre.
That, or at least a challenge on why using a handheld camera requires it.
I’d presume she was taking the view that you were acting in a commercial capacity, but if not, then I’m baffled at which cogs were whirring around in her head to vocalise such absurdity.
lovely and nice...........and lovely.
14:08 what is this right to film? There are no rights in Welsh law. Same as English law.
Article 10 of the Human Rights Act
I put it at the start of my videos now
@@TheGwentAuditorTGAcan you tell me where it states or even mentions photography in section 1 of article 10, then please refer to section 2, and tell me your understanding of that wording. When all that’s done pop down to a naval base and starting filming the submarines etc when the nice military police apprehend you just tell them you’re allowed under article 10 😅
@@user-cg3dg5ne6u you are allowed. FROM OUTSIDE. But they can now ascertain the reason and detain you if you can’t give one, and that would be the MOD Police. Military police have no powers over the public
@@TheGwentAuditorTGAof course you’re allowed from outside. That’s the whole point - you were inside this building saying you have a right that trumps their policy. You do not. That’s just gaslighting or you genuinely do not understand the law as it’s written and applied.
hi tga i m inspired its time the police and security meet me
Give it a go. Glad to hear I’m an inspiration
Another Communications Department that make up laws and policies to justify their jobs, classic!
She thought Samuel was a journalist. Paid content creators do nerd liability insurance.
How is she so uneducated 😂
📹📽🎥🚔🚓📸📷🏴👀
Power crazy people so ihnorant of the real law is incredible.. the ymake up their own little rules and think the public have to abide by them ha ah
It's all about controlling people
13:33 what’s going off with her tongue 😛
If you are making money on the videos, and you are, you do need public liability insurance. It's because it's a business.
It’s not a business
@@TheGwentAuditorTGA I was watching DJ Audits, he was talking to the police and they said that if it was commercial (I am assuming you get paid from RUclips from advertising) that you need insurance, not trying to pick I enjoy the audit videos. I fly drones as well and the insurance is about £60 a year.
Foxtrot Oscar, you dozy cow..
As for the GDPR stuff you lot just freak out when you see something without getting the full facts on what you’re seeing but wouldn’t expect anything else from a baby
If you were involved in an incident with someone wearing a body cam or it was on CCTV would you not want to able to get the footage?
Why would a member of staff need to take a photo of you on their private phone? The company already has security and cameras for this reason...
The point is to exercise our rights, rights and freedoms which are rapidly being taken away
@@Shifytee123 don’t forget to pick up your dummy when you go home to let your mummy tuck you into your bed?
Shouldn't be able to see it in the first place, full stop! It's their duty to protect that data from being seen at all times, not the person's looking at it with there eyes.
@@GaryNeale-ff5pz did you watch the video and listen to what was being said before you replied? Because the idiot auditor did not see any actual breach of GDPR due to the person was in training so no information of any kind was shown but of course the idiot with the camera just wanted to throw his weight around like he was doing something important and he doesn’t care what was really happening
I don't know what camera and lens your using, but you're getting quite a lot of rectilinear distortion, if your camera uses interchangeable lens and you can find one within your price range please invest in one, or failing that choice look the software you use for post processing to see if it's capable of rectilinear adjustment or maybe look at finding affordable software with that capability, you vids will improve tremendously if can go down one those routes.
It's a GoPro HERO 12, they don't have an interchangeable lens
@@TheGwentAuditorTGA that's unfortunate, I'm presuming it's also chest mounted as well, if you could find a way to gimble mount the gopro that may help to reduce distortion, that's the trouble with some of these types of cameras, unless they are perfectly level in a 360° field, as your rectilinear distortion can sometimes be almost to center screen it's probably due to camera not being perfectly flat, shame about that, but let's hope you can work on that to lessen the distraction of distortion, trial and error is best before forking out extra funding, best of luck old chap.
