What is going on everybody, this is TGA, and in today's video, I film a bunch of different buildings in Temple Quay in Bristol, and at every one of them, I get at least one NOT ALLOWED, Karen comes out of the one and keeps telling me to move on, and her fool of a colleague with his perceived authority kept telling me it's illegal to film the building, couldn't make it up. Love how they bring up the fact you film through The "windows" but the whole design is WINDOWS, and as you say they try and say its you not me, "I've asked you politely" Is the go to phrase like that makes any difference to the laws, next is the "you cant record me in public because (Feelings GDPR, etc etc)
I don't understand how you are so calm! This is why I could not do what you do. By the time Karen came out with her demands about the building I would have been replying to her demand "you can't film the building" by replying, "well I am going to, and what are you going to do about it?" These people have been demanding about not filming the building for too long, and no one has probably ever stood up to them!

@@narajuna filming on public land is allowed, but this is private land owned by a company, not the council.
@@rogerbroadbelt3424 afraid a lot of private lands filming is allowed, doubt any signs no cameras or filming entering your Trespass land. Up to Owners of LAND to decide /state "illegal" to film the buildings.
A few months ago signs were put up around Temple quay saying private land, no photography and switch off camera phones. The signs were later taken down after appearing in the local press.
Some people genuinely think that words on a sign determine what is lawful or unlawful.

The more that people within a particular establishment, protest about being filmed, then the 'greater the interest will be' in seeing it filmed!!

It is an extra parochial area historically not controlled by the City of London Council. It all stems from the Templars who owned the area.

These people always follow the same script . . . first they _tell you_ that you can't film, they demand you stop what you're doing and 'move on' . . . then when you give them any kind of pushback, like offended little snowflakes, hurt by your 'rude' response, they reframe their own rude demands as "I was just politely asking you".

@@TheGwentAuditorTGA the copy I got of the Act said the journalist exemption was taken out at the House of Lords because it cancelled some parts of the Official Secrets Act. Apart from military locations, there are other prohibited places of the Act, defined by the Secretary of State. It is new but there have been espionage instances now from China, so its not only the usual suspects that are spies these days.
