Hi, there! You seem like one of the calmest new mamas I have ever seen! There is nothing wrong with keeping her face/ name private. You are doing what you think is best for your child. Best wishes to you, and your new family. And, I love that your precious cat, alerts you about baby girl! Happy Easter.🐰🐣And, thank you for the update!
Thanks for the update! So nice that you're enjoying motherhood. :) Sounds like things are going well and I'm glad. Always love watching your videos; must be your calm, matter-of-fact manner. Love to you all and Happy Easter!
@@bobs1356 I see you, I hear you 😉 I know you are trying to help 👍 Tip for a treat just for you ♥. Take two slices of freshly-baked bread. Add a thin layer of extra-virgin olive oil into which you've marinated garlic, onion, dill, sea salt and cilantro. On top of that, add thinly sliced fresh tomatoes and cucumber. Defecate on each slice of bread. Now, eat it. 🤪
Thanks for the update. Sounds like you are really loving motherhood. Enjoy every moment. There’s never another time in life quite like that with your first baby. It’s really magical❤
I had a similar epidural “late in labor” story. I understand the distress and frustration. My daughter is about to be 26 and it still bugs me! LOL She was my one and only, my “one shot wonder,” so I don’t know if things would be different with a second. You know…we just do the best we can with the information we have/had. Enjoy your little sweetie!
Your life, your choices. Other you tubers share way too much. Thank you for answering our questions. You really put a lot of thought in to your answers and we appreciate the time you put into the video. Motherhood agrees with you. You have a very serene appearance about you. So happy you are able to experience motherhood😊😊 Am glad you are considering having follow up scans. You have always maintained a positive attitude about your treatment choices on treating your cancer.
Samantha, you are so beautiful, inside and out. It is clear that you are very happy with motherhood. You guys don't need to apologize for keeping her name private and not showing her very much. What little we have seen of her, she is absolutely precious! And her hair, just adorable!! In my own humble opinion, part of your job as parents is to protect her in life. Good for you for doing exactly that. Thank you for the update. I'm so glad to hear that things are going relatively well. It can really be a rollercoaster of a ride in these early years. I have always appreciated your candor. Update when you can and know that we are all here to support you, not judge you. Love and prayers to your beautiful family. ❤
I ❤ you for being the “voice” for us stage 4 gals. People always try to seem to put a label on something that we still clearly trying to understand and find a cure for. You are now cancer free and living your best life, you give me hope❤. Your story should be EVERYWHERE!!! Truly my inspiration, I’m so thankful I found your video and I wish you many more years and kids and love and life …. Your a warrior 💪🏾💗
I will never understand how doctors/nurses don’t check women before getting an epidural?!? I hear this so much!!! So crazy to me! Ladies ask to be checked before in case this happens to you!
I’ve been watching your vlogs for quite a while now. After all that you and Gray went through, I am SO glad to see you doing what you love. I’m so happy that you’re getting up live your dream. A childhood friend of mine got breast cancer young, after having a son, and she didn’t get a chance to enjoy him. It’s so nice to see you get that chance. (RIP Angela Chavez May).
Was just beginning to wonder where you'd gone ! Good to hear from you, and know you are thriving so well. Thanks for bringing us up to date . Happy Easter and look after each other. Best to Gray. Janice 👵 🇬🇧 xxx
Glad you are doing well with motherhood it definitely seems to agree with you! Take it one day at a time and enjoy it though it sounds like you are! It really does go fast. My oldest is finishing his freshman year of college in a few weeks. 😮
My parents say I came out of the womb staring at everything and just looking around. The doctor had to smack me (yes, I was born THAT long ago) to get me to cry.
With regards to the car meltdowns you might be able to install a mirror for her to see the front of the vehicle! They make products specifically for this 😊
Glad you all are doing well. Enjoy her while she is tiny because they grow up too fast. My oldest granddaughter is graduating high school next month and it seems like a few months ago she was a tiny baby.
Sounds like things are going really well considering there's a whole new little human being in the family to adjust to. 🙂 I'm glad you're getting to fulfill your dream. Very happy for y'all. I have to have a stereotaptic 🤷🏻♀️ biopsy this week. Terrified, not of the results, but of the procedure. I've read some people almost passed out. 😖 I don't want to make a fool of myself. 😂🥺
Hi Tweety, I had a stereotactic biopsy on breast a couple years ago. It wasn't fun but not too bad. Hardest part was having to stay totally still face down for awhile. Thank God it came back ok, but I have very dense breast tissue so have had to have other tests beyond mammo because of it.
@@kate-ot5lv Thank you for the reply! I'm scared to death. Mine will be done sitting. I have a low pain tolerance and high tolerance for pain killers so I'm nervous that I will move during the procedure. I think results will be fine. But I'd sure like to just skip it. I'm really glad yours came out well! (I'm "dense" too.) Day after tomorrow--and sick today AND and dental crown getting ready to fall out. 🤦🏻♀️
Always follow your dreams! Babies are always on my brain. I just finished radiation 2 weeks ago. I finally got a positive ovulation test last weekend! I was soo happy. I was born and raised in Fairbanks in 1977. I was going to adopt embryos. But stage 3b showed up. Grrr. Not stopping my dreams tho.
I was just diagnosed w IDC and surprised they didn’t include any hormone typing or staging and they want me just to go consult for lumpectomy? Seems like an extra surgery if I have positive morph nodes and margins?
Hi! We were able to tell if it was hormone positive or HER2+ based off of my initial biopsy. Staging depends on tumor size and how much the cancer has spread, so a lot of times it is not determined until after your surgery. If you have a small tumor, sometimes a lumpectomy is all that is needed. I hope it all goes well!
@@Armistead_MacSkyewow, what a journey, I ended up at 2A because of lymph node involvement, clear margin lumpectomy, I’m now post surgury and radiation 30 rounds including boosts, then second degree burns. Now dealing with letrozole adjustment. Surplus bone pain. Getting back to making selling art pottery and taking care of my husbands advancing dementia. There is a ground glass lesion in my skull, but so far they are only a little bit concerned. I have Ct scans every three months to check on that. Pet and bone density scans in February.
The reason they tell you to put babies on their backs alone in their basinets/cribs is because it dramatically reduces the risk of SIDS. I'm not telling you to be a jerk, but because I know you love your baby and want to keep her safe. It is WAY easier to teach babies to fall asleep on their own in their beds when they are newborns. I do it professionally as a newborn care specialist/night nurse in the homes of new parents. I recommend a book from the Baby Whisperer, she teaches methods to help babies learn to fall asleep in their own beds. Also thank you for your videos. I meet with my oncologist for the first time on Thursday. I'm less scared after watching your videos.
Yes, I do know it helps with SIDS! She sleeps in her crib at night now (5 months old) and I put her down on her back but she always rolls onto her side as soon as I remove my hands. She just prefers it that way I guess haha! I hope your meeting with your oncologist went well, and I’m glad the videos help :)
I’m inspired seeing how positive you were going through all these. I’m going through treatment right now and I also hope I’ll be able to have a baby one day. Do you mind to share if pregnant naturally or did you use the eggs frozen before chemo?
Wow. Your comments are absolutely disgusting. Postpartum depression is caused by hormones, it is not impacted by whether or not you want to have kids or be a stay at home mum. Plenty of women who wholeheartedly wished to have children get postpartum depression and that's what's so horrifying in the disease.
Of course it’s hormones! I just meant that the fact that I enjoyed the newborn stage so much may have helped me personally be at a lower risk. I’m not trying to say that people get it who don’t want children or they don’t love their kids and I’m pretty sure I addressed that
Samantha, you do you and don’t worry about what the Karen’s of the world bitch about. I think you made good decisions and you have enough stuff in your life without worrying about this or that idiot:))
Did you get the jaw necrosis? I have a tooth that needs to be taken out. My last zoledronic acid infusion was 2 years ago, but my dentist told me that the effects last up to 5 years and there is a danger of jaw necrosis if they take the tooth out now.
The drug destroyed my jaw, not much left on my right side. You can see the tops of my teeth. Also, it affects your sinuses too. When I drink something it goes up my nose. It’s horrible. It’s called ONJ, affecting one in an hundred, until recently, has increased. I go to a special dentist.

Breast feeding helps keep your hormones more stable so less problems with depression.
