I listened to this song with my dad just one week before he died of cancer. That was the last time I saw him shed a tear. He loved CCR and I will be forever grateful to have shared our love for music for so many years.
My dad and I would lay in his hospital bed and listen to Ballad of the Alamo by Marty Robbins over and over. Means so much to have shared such a connection over great music. He had this silly way he'd yell out FOGERTY when CCR came on. Thanks for sharing. Makes me think of the good times.
I drift back to my youth with his music, I'm there, reliving so many memories that in those days I failed to appreciate, it's funny but not until you get old you get to, really, know what you had and with time it slipped through your fingers like water.
When a friend of mine was helping me move from SoCal to Sacramento, (Many years ago) we just *had* to stop by into Lodi. It's just as exciting as John paints it to be.
Escucho todo tipo de música todos los géneros, soy argentino de 70 años, pero está música en especial me llega a lo más profundo,a mi niñez gracias por lo que diste CCR

God I love this version of Lodi. John always brings a personal note to every tune he does.

Thanks for tugging the heartstrings, John! Such an amazing song writer.
John often tunes his guitar down. I think this time he's tuned down a whole step ?

The man is simply a brilliant picker and grinner.a treasure
I like this live version more than the studio mix.
He played it just like it should be played.
I often wondered what it would be like without the cord change.
Now I know.....Just fine.
John Fogerty was too good for his band mates.
