Mazhar and Fuat is a folk-rock band founded by Mazhar Alanson and Fuat Güner in the early 1970s. The duo produced 1 LP and 4 45s.
Now, they are a part of the rock group called MFÖ. Mazhar Fuat Özkan, shortly MFÖ, a Turkish pop and rock band. It consists of Mazhar Alanson, Fuat Güner and Özkan Uğur.
The lyrics are from a Turkish folk poet, Yunus Emre.
This song became one of my favorite songs. Lyrics, instruments, voices... Everything about this is so chill. It makes you stop and appreciate your life. A life without hatred, grudges, stress, anxiety... You don't have to hold grudges, you don't have to see people differently than yourself because of their race, ethnicity, nationality, culture, religion; the whole world is one to you. You don't need to explain yourself constantly, you don't need people to like you; those who don't know you won't know you. Better focus on those who do love you and know you. The sweet laziness of life... But a good kind of laziness where you don't tire yourself with things that are temporary.
