It's been really helpful to actually see each of these pasta makers in use and have come to grips much more with some of the technical info. Very useful video, Techs You Can't Live Without.
This Marcato Atlas Noodle Maker is a kind of lemon. When it is new, it runs amazing. But when I use it for a while, the problems show up. the cracking handle becomes heavier and heavier to roll. I open the cover. inside parts are designed to fail. About the bad things: 1. not have even one bearing. it is metal touching metal. after using for a while, debris comes out. so I only can use 70% of the width, not 100%, to avoid it to pollute my noodle. 2. the gear is very thin, about 5mm thickness. after using for a while, the metal are wear and tear and it becomes heavier and heavier, like a fitness machine. About good things: 3. price is low. very affordable. 4. small. easy to install on table. 5. looks attractive. any part that i can see from outside are strong and shinny. I say from outside, not inside. inside parts are shitty. This is Marcato Atlas Noodle Maker from my point of view.

That Philips, apart from the material, looks almost identical in its body to the old plastic Popeil pasta maker! Which isn’t a knock on the item. I had the Popeil and enjoyed the heck out of it.
i'm from malaysia.. perhaops you guys would want to try review a cheap copy product of Marcato Ampia 150 known as the titania imperia pasta machine. Claims to be from italy.. I highly doubt so.
Only reason I watched this video was to see what would be best for Polymer Clay conditioning. I don't cook anymore ... Mom used razor blades to cut her home made pasta!
Hi.i am from India...I have a Imperia SP 150..left unused since sometime.. would like to use now but the crank of the main machine is kinda stuck.. though the attachment is rolling fine..can't seem to find the manual..can anyone help/guide?
For the price, cons, and mess that each one has, I'll stick with the inexpensive Barilla boxed pasta for cooking for one at home; otherwise treat myself to the occasional fancy Italian restaurant where they make their own. Just seems like too much work, especially for one person/one meal at a time.
Pasta will eventually be cooked in boiling water, but I was surprised as well. If this is the way for the last hundred years then it's probably okay I guess.

I saw a video on youtube on how to take it apart and clean the imperia. Perhaps if you take apart, clean, and put it back together it will run better.
@@normacanchola3595 thanks..will try that way

I’d imagine it would be. Maybe one day you’ll have a spouse and children though and will see things differently
I thought washing any pasta machine is a no no. Just use a brush is what I think is the norm.
I have a questions. Y’all think a Ferrari driver ever go thru a car wash ? Or just hand wash all the time🧐 just wondering
The best one can't be washed with water? I mean, you're working with raw eggs here. LOL. Insane!!!
Pasta will eventually be cooked in boiling water, but I was surprised as well. If this is the way for the last hundred years then it's probably okay I guess.
Aaa
More useless filler content. 0/10
Stop pronouncing pasta as the English do. They pronounce everything wrong. It's "paa-stuh" .
I don't even feel better after my rant...
