My ex husbands uncle lived in Mexicali in the middle of the desert in a hand built shack and dirt floors, he would make a living picking up wood to sell. Years ago before Rumorosa was a crap shoot highway on occasion. Ghost would appear sitting next to him or black dogs with red eyes would chase his while driving.
Does that route also take you to Guadalajara? I always go through nogales but looking at this is it hot there because Arizona get to like 120, and you have to drive in that for hrs
Yes, but you need to cross the border to Tijuana first, then take the toll road (la rumorosa included) to Mexicali, then down to Mazatlan, Tepic and finally Guadalajara.
Great video of yout drive but i can honestly say your driving is bad. You frequently used the two lanes when driving switching back and forth. You cut off cars and large vehicles at rapid speeds. You need to be more careful. Theres other drivers on the road too..dont be too selfish.
@@WadeHarrison I am glad you are still alive, all that testosterone did not kill you. I am Mex Am and will never go anywhere in Mexico I am 5th gen Californian and cannot speak a word of Spanish only cuss words. They think we think our poop don’t stink because we are “Ashamed of our culture”
@@beekeepermariadelgado6806 I speak almost no Spanish and stay over a month down there I really enjoyed it and everyone I met was super nice to me.I’m going back at the end of the year..
Yeah I agree it was on a history channel show called worlds most dangerous roads. And I can see spots where if you went off the road and it’s 500’ rocky cliff so chances of surviving are very slim but the road was very manageable.
No no. No dumb adteroid. It's a combination of plate tectonics and erosion. Rock breaking, being pushed up, rock strata being strained and more. You go from 4,000 feet down to below sea level near Mexicali.
Truthfully you have no respect for roads, I can see that in the manner and high speed you use in driving the dangerous roads , to me its like you enjoy the adrenaline you get from doing that, but young people like yourself dont see the value of your life according to the way you drive, I dont think you even love yourself, , that's like playing with fate, but you gotta slow down you dont know when something can go wrong and next time we wont be able to see any mre of your wild drive videos, you gotta be more careful young man, May God's blessing Be with you
Wow where did you get your license dude. You’re by far the worst driver ever! You can’t even control that car in them curves! If it wasn’t for the second lane you’d be just another mangled accident.
Wade Harrison well you’re horrible. If you’re going to post some adventure on a road you need to learn how to drive properly so that your viewers can glance at it without thinking you will be presumed dead in a few seconds. No seriously you drive worst than my nephew at 4yrs old... he has his Jeep under control. It honestly isn’t something to be proud of... think of others before getting behind a set of wheels if it’s not for your safety at least for the wallet of those who are left to take care of funeral expenses dude.
Yeah That's what I thought Alex it was featured on a TV show as one of the worlds most dangerous rds like death at every corner and Wrecks all over the place but I thought it was a great smooth drive at normal speeds. I do Recommend the drive if ever over in that area nice scenic drive.
Is just dangerous if you speeding or your vehicle is not well matained, lots of crqashes happen cuz bikers misjudge a corner or busses and newbie truckers go down too fast and the just cant break and go off, if you obbey the speed limits is gonna be safe.
It' is not, i would asume that reputation came from back when this highway had one line going up and another going down on the same trail, at some point traveling along this rode you can see old traces from that route, things are different now. Often I go up or down this road exceeding the speed limit and switching lanes at the corners, don't misunderstand me I'm not proud for doing it and I a'm no encouraging you to drive like this. But hell, it is fun.
Bruh this highway gave me so much anxiety when I went on it a few years ago
I really want to go back
La Rumorosa Mexico es una joya en el desierto
It definitely is buddy
It's moré dangerous driving at night and there are posibilities to capture a ghost
MEX JOK-R true it’s very bad I suggest if people have a passport they drive on Interstate 8 then renter in Tecate
I really need to go back!!

My eldest brother Miguel Angel Lopez and his friend died on this road...he was only eighteen...
Sorry to hear that😥
What happened?

I was just doing a over and back drive I’m not really sure where it ends at?
Yes, but you need to cross the border to Tijuana first, then take the toll road (la rumorosa included) to Mexicali, then down to Mazatlan, Tepic and finally Guadalajara.
It's changed a lot since I was last there. (1991)
You 19years I would think so?
I must drive this road...
Very nice ride over and back If your ever in the area I recommend..
+Wade Harrison Thank you very much for the video and the recommendation! Next time I go to Mexico I'll be sure to add this to my to-do list!

Nah you gotta take the free road to get the real rumorosa experience
Yeah if I go back Im going to explore more!
@@WadeHarrison I checked on google maps and it seems the old free road has been completely replaced by the new toll road.
@@AlexCab_49 good to know
There is no free road anymore. The toll replaced it.
@@GuillermoAGonzalez_STR actually there’s a free road from Puerto Vallarta to Guadalajara. I went though it on accident lmao
Back in the day it was a two way road no barriers
Oh wow that had to be awesome to add that little bit a scary in there!
That’s the toll free highway, it could be dangerous but the views are beautiful.
@@jsilva530 it’s for sure a scenic drive
@@WadeHarrison It is, just be careful if you drive it, as it is up in the hills/mountains and has plenty of curves.
This video shows that you were driving Eastbound (toward Mexicali), not westbound. Great Video otherwise!
Just updated it thanks...
Doesn't look too dangerous to me.

This road isn’t even that bad it’s like hwy74 in palm desert c,a lmao thought I would be worst.
I agree on that one but it was still on a doc about how its the ghost hwy because all the people that drove of the sides..
That’s some serious rubble. Why do you think it’s there? What happened there?
an astoroid crashed there about 2 million years ago, no wait, two million and 5 years ago......that's what they say......
yeah maria what this guy said?
