- Sunrise expressway drive circling Mexico City. Driving around any major city's expressway at dawn, circling the city center, is a great way to see a unique perspective of any major city around the world. Mexico City does not disappoint! And the drive into Santa Fe is amazing from the expressway. I had a few issues towards the end of the video and had to make some edits but hope you still enjoy it!
Route: goo.gl/maps/mb... .
Mexico City is the densely populated, high-altitude capital of Mexico. It's known for its Templo Mayor (a 13th-century Aztec temple), the baroque Catedral Metropolitana de México of the Spanish conquistadors and the Palacio Nacional, which houses historic murals by Diego Rivera. All of these are situated in and around the Plaza de la Constitución, the massive main square also known as the Zócalo. ― Google
Santa Fe, dominated by corporate skyscrapers, is Mexico City's most modern district. The streets are bustling during working hours and quieter by night, and are home to international restaurants ranging from fast food to upscale. The area features several college campuses and global chain hotels, as well as the Centro Santa Fe, a sprawling 500-store shopping mall, which is among the largest in Latin America. ― Google
Mexico City (Spanish: Ciudad de México; CDMX) is the capital and largest city of Mexico, and the most populous city in North America. It is one of the country's 32 federal entities. Mexico City is one of the most important cultural and financial centers in the world. It is located in the Valley of Mexico in the high central plateau, at an altitude of 2,240 meters (7,350 ft). The city has 16 boroughs or demarcaciones territoriales, which are in turn divided into neighborhoods or colonias.
The 2020 population for the city proper was 9,209,944, with a land area of 1,495 square kilometers (577 sq mi). According to the most recent definition agreed upon by the federal and state governments, the population of Greater Mexico City is 21,804,515, which makes it the sixth-largest metropolitan area in the world, the second-largest urban agglomeration in the Western Hemisphere (behind São Paulo, Brazil), and the largest Spanish-speaking city in the world. Greater Mexico City has a GDP of $411 billion in 2011, which makes it one of the most productive urban areas in the world. The city was responsible for generating 15.8% of Mexico's GDP, and the metropolitan area accounted for about 22% of the country's GDP. If it were an independent country in 2013, Mexico City would be the fifth-largest economy in Latin America.

¡Felicidades, buen trabajo!. 😉!!!.

Amazing metropolis 🌃🏙️ I like it,👏👏👏
Such a big metropolitan area...it just goes on and on. Notice the roads here are a lot better in the valley where it's flat and not the mountains..the roads in the mountains by Santa Fe and Interlomas are harder to maintain as they damage more easily. Unfortunately, the commercial advertisements at 17:14 block a good view of some of the downtown skyline.

It really amazes me how in some stretches of the freeway, Traffic was almost completely filled with subcompact sedans, and mostly older models.
That does not happens in another states freeways, Traffic tends to be a lot more diverse, you got your HD trucks, your subcompacts, your police cruisers, your full size trucks and SUVs, mid size trucks, and honestly just a mix of everything.
That was not the case for the 1st half of the video in Mexico City, I guess it could be due to extreme traffic and more narrow roads, but even in neighboring states like Puebla or Querétaro, you will see a lot more full size vehicles on the freeway or simply anywhere else or simply a mix of everything.
It also crazy how the further you progress into the video the more the vegetation and secenary changes and the more and more full size SUVs and pick-ups are added to the equation, i wonder if that's a west side of the city being richer or simply culturally different and the east being poorer or culturally different
México City is really a one of a kind!
Its
@@TheStoneCodeArt eh?
SUV's are for Mexican medium/high income moms, Pick-up trucks are for wannabe narcos, and they include a hat. You can tell the income of a person by how new his vehicle is, and of course if it is a luxury brand like Mercedes. Small cars are popular beacuse most people expend the extra money in better brands and not in bigger cars.
We have the tendency to drive amid size or compact car form mon-fri due to the lack of parking lot stolls hence we keep the suvs and trucks for week ends
Mexico City is an enormous city and it’s more easy drive a small car in the traffic, because waste less gas and it’s more efficient about parking in a bunch of places. It’s really common to see different kind of cars in some hours, small and cheap cars at the morning for people who works and in the afternoon you can see a bunch of SUVS or minivans for moms who go to the market or school bus and in the weekends it’s really common to see full size suvs or pick up for people who go to other states near to Mexico City like sprees journeys and you back in 4 hours more less. And other reasons is in all Mexico City you have to pay elevate taxes if you have luxury models, but also exist Audi , bmw etc. even Lamborghini, Porsche , Bugatti , but depends the area or district inside the Mexico City.
That’s in Mexico City, but in other states are really common medium pick up and full size pick up, full size suvs medium and long sedans or small cars, the main reason is in other states you don’t pay taxes for luxury cars and the cities in other states are more relaxing and that’s the main reason. And the roads in other states like Sonora Hermosillo, queretaro, San Luis, Jalisco, Veracruz for example are mixing with pavement roads or terrain roads and you need a wrangler or F-150 , Silverado, frontier, Tacoma etc. in that states are really common that kind of vehicles and recent or old models depends but exist all type of cars in all the country.
All states in Mexico are really different, like kind of cars, culture , development, the kind of roads, kind of houses depends of the state and the neighbourhood, Mexico isn not like other countries that all the country are similar all around.

My God! The engineering it took to build that place is mind blowing. MC is twice as big as NYC?? Those Mexicans we see hanging out at Home Depot up here in the US, built that whole city!!! Beautiful.
Americans have been so programmed (brain washed) to believe so many stereotypes. For one only about 30% own a passport and having moved to US briefly for work, I can attest how atrocious the news is there. It would make Mao proud.
We are very excited and really like your creative ideas, made it enjoyable to watch and keep watching, hope you continue this great idea forever.
How beautiful roads. you can measure a country's worth by looking at it's beautiful roads and how they treat women. The latter is still debatable but Mexico has amazing roads with little to no potholes

So much Relaxing here! Very Nice My friend!
This video reminds me of my home city, London because of the long motorway.
London has fallen to Jihadis and now you have an Indian origin as your PM. I almost feel sad for Brits
@@JitzyJT Well, if your comment about 'London falling to Jihadis' is true,
( I personally don't agree) my question to you is: ''why is London still thriving, despite the many problems and challenges''?
I acknowledge the fact that London has a large 'Muslim' community
but not all align themselves with the so-called Jihadis.
As for your comment about the current Prime minister, he was born in Southampton even though his parents were born in India, what relevance does that have to J. Utah's Mexico City 4Kvideo?
Finally, I'm sure that you know that every country has its share of problems and challenges, including America.
For instance, two teenagers were murdered last week in London.
Six people were murdered in a Walmart store in America about 4 days ago.
Think about how the parents, relatives, and friends of the victims are feeling now.
It's reasonable to assume that the two people that killed the eight victims in London and America weren't aligned with Jihadis.
Therefore, your assertion about ''London falling to Jihadis'' makes no sense.
Beautiful road trip. Keep it up

you need to make a video in segundo piso del periferico, also in Mexico City at any time is perfect

Very good driving in Mexico City.

For a city of 9 million inhabitants, traffic seems to run smoothly (despite certain bottlenecks points)...maybe it hasn't been always like this. However for morning rush, hands down for CDMX compared to São Paulo(which is nightmarish again after Covid restrictions have been released)
Don’t let them fool you, traffic becomes crazy bad in the main routes to important places like Reforma at the morning, despite this normally you can get to wherever you want if you get to know the city well and take alternative routes, it has always been a crazy place and I love it

In the Metro Area the numbers surpass 10 million vehicles and we have one of the busiest commuters corridors in the world..around 2 to 3 million people come into the city everyday to work or study.
